Whipper Billy Watson, main evented for 30 years.
Bret Hart main evented for 4-5?
Since 1990, Bret is probably one of the best.

Don Callis over Gene Kiniski?
Has Callis ever been in one good match?
Petey Williams over Rick Martel?
This list is a list of your favourites, not who you think the best is, right?

Of course there is some bias opinion to my list as everybody's list would have their favorites!!! I never really got to see Kiniski wrestle as I wasn't born in 1952 but I have heard good things!!! Wrestling was different back in the day and wasn't the style wasn''t always the most exciting to watch!!! As for Callis I grew up in Winnipeg and saw a lot of his matches!!! He was very good however when he finally broke big into the business he was really only utilized for his mic skills!!!
As for Petey Williams and Rick Martel I've seen them wrestle many times! Rick also has 20 years on Petey!!! If you talk accomplishments yes Rick Martel had an amazing career but if you talk in ring skill Petey Williams is one of the best and its hard for me not to put him ahead of Rick Martel!!!
However if I compiled a list of my favorites this list would probably half the size!!!

Anybody that doesn't put the hitman as #1 on this list an idiot. Well then I guess I'm an idiot because I'd put Edge over Bret any day of the week.

The problem with Bret is that his mic skills were pretty weak.
If you are going JUST by technical ring skill, he could be #1 but then again, so could Benoit. Depends on if you want the total package (no, not Luger) or if you are only talking ring skill.
Gimmick and mic skill do matter to many.

I'd still put Bret first when Top Canadian Wrestlers comes into discussion.

Great lists all of you, a great read! In term of impact and legacy, I'd go with:
1 - Bret Hart 2 - Yvon Robert 3 - Roddy Piper 4 - Killer Kowalski 5 - Abdullah The Butcher
Else, invaluably great ones: - Chris Jericho - Rick Martel - Edge - Chris Benoit - Johnny Rougeau and the Rougeau Brothers - Mad Dog Vachon - Owen Hart - Dino Bravo

Oh, and I was forgetting about Pat Patterson!
He was billed from San Francisco, but really is from Montreal.

Bret is tops for me. If I had to pick the best IMO, I'd add Rick Martel, Chris Jericho, Lance Storm, Owen Hart, Dino Bravo and the Rougeau Brother
