The way I see it is Wade Barrett will not stick. I just don't see much longevity after Cena destroyed him. I could see him just drifting off to being a regular on Superstars or wrestling in the undercard on Raw within the next year while I could see AmDrag semi-main eventing (possibly even main eventing) PPVs. He has a lot more longevity than Barrett. Barrett can only go so far after being buried by Cena.
They pushed Barrett way too fast. There's no believability in him as a main eventer because they didn't take the time on booking him to look like a threat. Casual WWE fans will look at Barrett as having a whole gang of people by his side and still losing to one person. The failed Nexus angle will not be forgotten. It's just going to be a burden on his entire WWE career. And I like Barrett but they totally killed his WWE career.

hmm...Daniel Bryan is tied for the #1 match of the year with the other match being Undertaker/Michaels, I'd say that's pretty damn successful. And he is the United States champion, so yeah, Daniel Bryan.
Considering Brian was legit fired and brought back weeks later means they are behind the guy. Only reason Wade is main eventing is because of John Cena and is getting buried badly. Brian is on a roll right now.
how exactly did barrett get buried by cena, he got beat after being fu'ed through 8 chairs, he is 1-1 with cena on ppv, thats far better than miz did last summer when he got murdered by cena on ppv and got beat despite having a whole bunch of heels surround the ring in the rematch
barrett is too good on the mic not to be future main-eventer, he garners incredible heat already, he has the size that vince/hhh/steph/Laurinaitis love

When was the last time you saw someone who has main evented 3 PPV's in a row fall down to competing primarily on Superstars? Vader?
WWE aren't stupid. They know Wade Barrett is one for the future.
I'm not gonna say that my view or choice is right and that any other view or opinion is stupid and ridiculous, but my choice is Bryan.
Not only did he win a title in less time than Barrett (overall with his few months off), but he actually won a title. He's in the history books. Barrett could go the rest of his career without holding a title (unlikely at the rate they've pushed him but anything can happen). Bryan has his own titantron, his own t-shirt. He got a spot as a pro on NXT. The aforementioned fact that he's accomplished everything on his own as opposed to Wade's Nexus. His frequent, solo appearences on the top 25 matches list speaks a lot as well.
Barrett I guess, but they pushed him way too fast...he's still a bit green to be a main-eventer in terms of in-ring work....his promos are decent though...but as a whole, Bryan has done a lot and has pretty much established himself as a worthy singles star in WWE
Wade Barrett has gotten a bigger push than almost everybody on the roster except for the Miz.

maybe they didn't main event ppvs, but carlito and chris masters were developing stars who were suddenly just dropped.
I must say Daniel Bryan, I mean Daniel Bryan has accomplished a bit more than Wade Barrett. Daniel Bryan was released and came back and won the US Championship from The Miz. Daniel Bryan got the Bella Twins, He retains his US Championship in his matches. Now, Wade Barrett, He has had several attempts at the WWE Championship and lost. He has tortured John Cena until Cena was rehired and kicked the crap out of Barrett, He won NXT, He Leads NeXus. Daniel Bryan is more successful at the moment.
Wade Barrett is, hes had several WWE title matches already, hes mainevented 7 PPV's, He created the nexus, Daniel Bryan just gets his ass kicked and won the US Title,
