So we all know that the E has had its fair share of ridiculous ideas and concepts, but what do you guys think is their biggest actual waste of money? Such as, a project/program/event that would've probably been EXTREMELY expensive to produce, and probably brought nothing back to the company in the end.
I'd say WMXI. The WWF was still struggling from their steroid scandal the year before, and they spent a TON to have Pamela Anderson and LT show up, and I don't honestly think many people cared. Huge waste of money in my opinion.

I would say the XFL but apparently it didn't cost that much to try.

Who ever decided that Kid Rock was a good idea must of been raised on a diet of turds and intellectually- disabled person dribble.

Very creative thread.
Off the top of my head, I'd say Commercial Free RAW.
The three hour RAW the night of Benoit's death (Ticket refunds, No merch sales, building fee's), but of course it wasnt planned that way.
Any time they deal with a band who will allow them to use a song for PPV, but wont let them put it on DVD.

Celebrities in general. If they make a small spot at Wrestlemania, nifty. If they cut to them in the crowd after a commercial break, also nifty. If they hog up a good 15 to 30 minutes of wrestling time be it on Raw or on Wrestlemania (Kid Rock, Limp Bizkit cough cough), very far from nifty.

well WM24 did generate roughly $24m in ppv revenue and $6 in ticket sales, mayweathers actual fee is unknown but probably in the same range as what tyson got, just over $1m
million dollar giveway, how exactly did that help generate extra money??
wbf......the only thing that achieved was debuting lex luger to the wwf fans which could have been done without that rubbish
mark henrys $10m contract, money well spent there, whatever you say about mayweather NOBODY has ever bought a ppv or watched a tv show to see mark henry ever

The $1 million Tough Enough. They paid Daniel Puder $250,000 and he never drew a dime literally for the company.

brawl for it all easily. ended up with injured wrestlers. Yea I agree there, they were trying to bite off the success of UFC at the time, and they had just signed Severn, Shamrock didnt want anything to do with it. ended up hurting half the locker room. anyone remember Barakas. XFL, Storylines have no place in football WBF - while it did get Lugar to the WWE, it didnt do anything else ICOPRO - Failed attempt at Packaging Protein Supplements Stinger - Failed attempt at Engergy drinks WWE Films - Vince tired of nobody putting Wrestlers in movies, so he made he own film company to help crossover Wrestlers with main stream audiences. Cena, Kane, Austin helped, but bad box office, made the rest go direct to dvd. Big Show says hello. Mark Henry's 10 Year Deal. For which Five of those years he spent injured. has been however Healthy since signing short term contracts WWE New York/WWE Niagra Falls - Resturant and Theme Park, Good Grief, what a waste it was to send Raven, and other C List Superstars to Host Raw Partys

The whole explosion for Vince in 2007, I'm sure that cost them quite a bit.
