Think of it like this: if you think the Underrated award is useless, then doesn't Overrated also prove pointless? We're here to be the best and get voted as award winners/nominated. If we do that then that should make us overrated technically. The under/overrated awards are null, void and pathetic.

I'm not really surprised I won the overrated award considering the amount of people I supposedly 'piss off', which quite frankly isn't a justifiable reason to call me overrated, but whatever. I also think it's highly laughable to call Dan overrated too.
While these don't really count for anything, I believe it'd be best to do the voting out in the open, like the 2008 awards. I'm curious to know where those 3 votes came from, and the 2 for Dan.

I didn't vote whatsoever. But Dan is not overrated, I'm afraid. The award was mistaken for the "Who pisses me off most" award, that's the only thing I can think of, because Dan and Chaz BOTH deliver when it comes to writing diaries, more specifically Dan.
And not to blow my own trumpet, but I don't receive enough recognition to be even considered overrated, and tbh, neither does Matt. So that Award was completely ridiculous tbh.

The overrated award, to me, was there to vote for who you think gets too much attention given to thier work when they don't really deserve it, hence me being slightly ticked off at Dan getting a couple of votes in that category, where as the underrated award was there to do the opposite, and vote who you found to have too little attention given to thier work and deserves more. I voted for SG in that category because he doesn't get half as much attention as he deserves.

I can personally understand why Chaz would be voted overrated, ( I myself voted for C.E.N.A.N.A.T.I.O.N just for the lulz) Chaz posts great beginnings to diaries but most rarely reach page 3 or 4 now days. Not that I agree with it, Dan getting votes in that category is just intellectually- disabled.

The thing with both of them is that they're subjective. One person may dislike a really popular diary and not understand why it's so popular. Hence you get the opinion that its overrated. In that sense I can see why both the overrated and underrated awards can be considered legit. However they do seem to be more trouble than they're worth. Nobody ever wants to admit that people dislike they're work.

Personally, I get annoyed with a lack of feedback, not people disliking the diary I'm writing. Not to seem like I am jealous or anything, but me and Elliot both have diaries that have been going from August to October in diary, and yet Elliot's is on nine pages, and mine on five. Now I'm presuming that that's because he's getting more feedback than me, which is annoying when I am working just as hard, and have put out nearly as much actual content.
Sorry Elliot, not picking on you at all dude, just saying as I see the similarity in length ^-^

I do give replies out, and used to give a lot more than I do now, but I lose the will to give them when nobody decides to give me some.

To be honest, from what I remember, for the majority of the beginning of your diary, you wasn't giving out replies at all, one of the main reasons I avoided it. I avoided Chaz's diaries when he did it because it's just not fair. Yeah, you're replying more now, so maybe you'll receive some more recognition.

I give out replies a bunch of times, and return replies, but yet i hardly get feedback, on a consistent basis. Which, used to bother me but i have come to terms with it. If i like booking a given time period, like WWF 1993, i will continue to clutter the board with stuff because I like it. I know that Dan, Jord (when i reply to his) and Matt will be a sure reply.
Others of you will read it and carry on. That's fine. But if/when i dish out a reply to your diary and I get nothing in return, i hope to not see you complain about not getting replies when you have people who do it, but you don't return the favor.
This isn't intended to be mean or anything, so don't be offended.
