Se7en or Zodiac?
They're more about catching serial killers and not following them though.

Shouldn't be a deal breaker. What is it with people and watching films with subtitles?

Shouldn't be a deal breaker. What is it with people and watching films with subtitles? most people are lazy to a point where they don't even want to read something, it's kinda sad since some of the greatest movies are foreign.

Man Bites Dog Must see. Also: - Funny Games (Original/US are both great) - Ichi the Killer - Kalifornia - Martyrs (Not strictly a serial killer flick, but any excuse to recommend it lol) - Natural Born Killers all worth a watch. I;ve watched a few Korean Serial Killer films the last week or so. The Chaser Memories of Murder I saw the Devil All great films. HUGE fan of Korean cinema. The Chaser has been on my to buy list for a while now, definitely need to check it out. Glad to see someone recommend it!

Zodiac is an awesome movie.
Man Bites Dog was really good but man, I don't think I could watch it again.

No mention of Silence of the Lambs? For shame, WF.

No mention of Silence of the Lambs? For shame, WF. CLASSIC movie. Favorite of all time. Anyway, Zodiac is a good one. Its quite long, but very good.

Shouldn't be a deal breaker. What is it with people and watching films with subtitles? Yeah, I know what you mean... I understand if people have eye problems or some kind of LD that actually makes reading difficult, but otherwise it's just lame. Anyway, most of the ones I can think of worth any merit have been mentioned. Psycho and Henry being my favorites. There might be one or two that I'm forgetting. I'll think about it and come back to you. I'm assuming we're not counting slasher movies very much?

Speaking of Silence of the Lambs - Red Dragon, or the original from the '80s, Manhunter.

When it comes to the more recent serial killer pictures you've really gotta be careful, there's a lot of turds out there.
One of them I found to be actually entertaining and very sleazy was one based on the Hillside Strangler called (obviously enough) The Hillside Strangler.
There's "The Murder Collection," a box set featuring the films Ed Gein, Bundy, Gacy, and Dahmer. I found Gacy to be the worst of the four. Ed Gein is good thanks to an excellent performance by Steve Railsback. Bundy is over the top and corny, but is highly entertaining. Dahmer is well made and has a great performance by a young Jeremy Renner.
Ed Gein has a lot of films based on his crimes. Texas Chainsaw Massacre while extremely "loosely" based is the most notorious. I find the film Deranged to be extremely enjoyable (staring Roberts Blossom aka the old shovel guy from Home Alone!)
There's a handful of movies based on Charles Manson that are worth checking out, a made for tv movie called Helter Skelter. Also check out The Manson Family. Very insane film right there.
