your at that age where you are just being cautious because you are in High School now and a large majority don't even like wrestling but don't pay attention man. I've made it through that. i'm almost 19, even had my share with women, don't let people like that get to you. I rep the wrestling clothes all the time just about and am a big guy so people don't really bother me now but when I would buy figs when I was a freshmen or sophomore in high school they would give me some beef and say "aren't these for babies?" so I just said "I don't wanna grow up I wanna be a little f**ker" and they would just drop it. My point is man, just keep collecting, do what you enjoy

Funny thing is this, TRU sells toys and usually adults are the ones who pay for them. Parents, uncles, aunts grandparents, brothers and sisters all buy toys for kids. How do they know the stuff is for you? I got the DCUC Green Lantern/Sinestro set today and the cashier was very nice. The people in the figures section gave me looks but that was because I was hugging a GL figure set....anyway, I blame bad employees and people pissed that you got what they were looking for, for all the negativity some of us adults get when we go to TRU.

Lol wow after reading this I guess this is just an added benefit of having a 2 year old son. I'm about to be 23 and my son is 2 so I guess I never noticed feeling odd or strange.
It's no different than collecting anything else tho.

I'm 23 and nope. I've actually never had a cashier make a remark or have anyone look at me before. If anything I've had people think it was cool or talk wrestling with me but never had anyone make a remark or give me a dirty look.

I always smile and am polite and tell them to have a nice day. They never say any crap, maybe it's cuz I don't "hate people." Also I'm generally better looking than most cashiers. I would only embarrassed if it was a hot chick.

I have seen people older than 35 going into TRU to by stuff. And I know it's not for their kids. LOL! NO shame at all. That would be me (37) and I'm not bothered at all. When a person gets to a point where they are comfortable with him/herself, this kind of thing is no longer an issue. I'm mature in the truly important areas of life. If people want to make assumptions about me because I like figures, comics, Star Wars memorabilia, etc., so be it.

Shoot you guys, I' 41 yrs. old & I go to TRU to see of what new Mattel WWE figure(s) that I like to get for my collection rather it's be the PPV ones or even the Legends. And I chat to a few of the cashiers who used to be into watching Professional Wrestling long before this PG ratings came up & they have to blot out the blood from the wrestler's heads or faces. I also make my own championship belts for them from the Classic NWA, to the WWF, to WcW, World Class & so on that was good wrestling. So, I also go to Target, K-Mart & also Wam-Mart to see of what figures that I also need to get fo rmy collection & I don't give a rat's ass about what other people think about me since I'm an old school pro wrestling fan. There's also times when i run into people who buy either some Classic WWE Jakk's wrestling or Mattel's WWE or Jakk's TNA Wrestling figures & I chat with them about who I met in the 80s to '04 & '05 in Ocala, Florida & they think that it's cool. So, me & some other customers get along instead of saying stupid things to each other & start fights & arguments with them. My folks, sister, brother & my nephew knows about my collection & I can care less of what they say about that when I enjoy having them. So, don't worry about what anybody says to you guys on buying any kind of wrestling figure(including the Diva's too). It's your collection & also your business of what you want to spend your money on & my salute to the gentleman who's serving our country in the U.S. Army as well all of our other troops who are out in Afganhastan & Iraq. Hopefully as soon as the economy can get back to where things was, we all wish you men & women a safe trip back home & also want to wish you all a Happy & Safe New Year for '11.

i'm 28 and i am never embarassed. ok, sometimes maybe a little, but i've come to terms with my obsession with wreslting and wrestling action figures. if i ever run into someone who might interrogate me, i've always got the "it's for my nephew's birthday" thing ready to use. but really, most everyone i know knows that i collect and everyone else who WOULD say something derogatory towards me or my hobby can go to hell.

A few kids in my school know I collect, they tease me sometimes, but I ignore them. I'm never embarressed to go into Zellers, Wal-Mart, TRU, etc. I've been collecting since I was a toddler and I'm still collecting now.

Nope. Never. I enjoy my hobby, I enjoy my money going towards figures - something I will get more than a few minutes of enjoyment out of.
I don't care what people think of my buying figures.

I'm 15 too and I feel like no matter where I go, wether it be Toys R Us or Target, I feel people looking at me. Sometimes I take my sweater off and put it in the basket that I carry around the store. But now I have new words to say to haters thanks to this board. Now I don't care what people think :-)
