November 29th, 2010 - "Mizfest 2010" |
★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★* - Monday Night RAW opens up with the casual introduction; the video package that is pre-show, the introduction video, and then leading up to the fireworks exploding all over the ramp and stage as we are welcomed to the show by Michael Cole and Jerry "The King" Lawler. They tell us that we are in for a jam-packed show of action tonight; as we will crown the WWE Champion with a celebration planned by himself and his protégé, Alex Riley. Just then we hear "I Came To Play" by Downstait and instead of our new champion coming out from the back comes the man we just spoke about, Alex Riley. He gets minor heat himself, and he has the Money in the Bank briefcase in his hand as he walks down the ramp and walks in. He is wearing a suit, obviously prepared for "Mizfest 2010" as hyped by Michael Cole. As the boo's slow down a little bit, he grips the microphone up and starts to speak. "Well, if you don't know; which you must because it's all over the news, all over the magazines.. my IDOL, my MENTOR, my PRO; The Miz is the NEW WWE Champion!" Major boo's pour in from the crowd as Riley keeps speaking. "Keep the boo's coming, I love them. Anyways, tonight; as planned is Mizfest 2010. I just want you all to be prepared; for all of the succession coming from the ring tonight when we stand in there; but tonight, when you see Randy.. I want you to cheer as loud as you can, but he'll always know he's a loser.." Just then, "Voices" by Rev Theory hit and Orton ran down to the ring and Riley barely slipped away as Orton slid in the ring. He smirked and told Riley to "Watch Miz's back for him." The show went to a quick commerical as "Voices" blared through the arena.

* - Daniel Bryan w/ The Bellas defeated Ted DiBiase w/ Maryse
: This was basically a rematch from Survior Series; it started with a lock-up and Bryan took control being the submission specialist he is; as DiBiase got taken down, Maryse screamed at him to get up and not be taken down by such a "dork". DiBiase then got up and took some control, as reversing Bryan's submission's. He got up and then took Daniel to the corner and started to play some ground and pound on him. The Bellas helped Bryan regain, aswell the crowd assisted with The Bellas. DiBiase went for the "Dream Street" quick but failed and was put down and locked into the "LaBell Lock" and Ted tapped quick.
★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★
* - After the loss DiBiase got up and started throwing a temper tantrum. Maryse then stepped up into the ring and started yelling at Ted calling him a "loser" and that she is sick of his loosing ways, she rambles at him until Ted screams at her to "shut up"; this doesn't matter to Maryse as she swings her palm and connects to DiBiase's face before walking out of the ring, and up the ramp bumping past Daniel Bryan and The Bellas hanging on his arms. The camera then goes backstage to our new champion, The Miz and his rookie, Alex Riley arguing. Miz yells at Riley that he needs to learn to take care of himself, and that The Miz just didn't come out because he wanted to see Riley stand for himself. Riley screams back that Orton is a dangerous man on a mission, looking for his title and that they needed to quit arguing and watch their backs. They compromise as they walk out of the locker room as the show goes to a quick commercial. When we return the announcers are already hyping our next pay-per-view Tables, Ladders, and Chairs. When they finish it is time for the second match of the night.

* - The Usos w/ Tamina
defeated Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov: This match was very basic, and a lengthy ammount of time. Santino was obviously distracted by his "admirer" Tamina of The Usos. Kozlov and Jimmy started first with Kozlov taking his powerhouse skills and taking down Jimmy, and then slamming him into the turnbuckle, his own as he tried to tag in Santino. Santino hopped in and flexed a little to Tamina but this backfired as Jimmy recaptured his momentum and kicked Kozlov off of him and ran and quickly hit a swinging neckbreaker on Santino. The match then ended quickly after that as Jey and Jimmy hit their double team Samoan Drop and got the 1..2..3 and a contendership at The Nexus and their WWE Tag Team titles.
★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★
* - After the match The Usos cheered as more boos came in; they then went to attack Santino but were stopped by Tamina as she told them to stop and she aided Santino before the show went backstage to Josh Mathews and his guest at the time, "The Shaman of Sexy" John Morrison. Josh asked his first question, "What do you think your future here on RAW is?" Morrison chuckled and started to speak, "Well to be honest, I think I'm ready for the big league. I think I'm ready for The Miz." That is until he was interrupted by "The Celtic Warrior" Sheamus with a blast straight to the back and then a few stops as Sheamus breathed heavily and then just walked away leaving the lifeless Morrison on the ground. The show goes to a real quick commercial before we return to the commentators table where Michael Cole announces what the general manager e-mailed him before the break ended. The RAW GM announced that tonight we will see Alex Riley and Sheamus facing off against Randy Orton and John Morrison. This was a short notice advertisement; as the teams had to be prepared before the main event. When they quit talking we hear Natalya's theme hit the P.A system.
★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★
* - Natalya defeated Alicia Fox: This was a very short match but it made Natalya look more like a threat to LayCool who obviously wanted the title back. Alicia immediately ran at Natalya but she was a force and took down Alicia with a hair-pulling facebuster. She dominated throughout the rest before finally making Alicia tap out to the "Sharpshooter".
★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★
* - Natalya celebrated her win against Fox as the camera went backstage to show The Miz rubbing his temples as Alex Riley is preparing for his match. Miz yells that "Mizfest is basically ruined because of the main event; and plus you don't even get to have your mentor out there with you." That is until Sheamus walks in and starts to chuckle saying "But he has someone better then you, Miz. He has me, and he needs to learn that I am going to destroy Orton and Morrison tonight; he better just watch his back." We head to commercial for a short break, and when we return "We Are One" by 12 Stones is playing as Wade Barrett is walking out to the ring. He steps in and takes the microphone from Justin Roberts. He talks trash about John Cena and calls him out; and tells him that he better be out here next week but for now he can just see what is gonna happen next week.
★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★
* - Mark Henry defeated Wade Barrett via DQ: This match was ended shortly by disqualification as The Nexus came trumbling down the ramp and attacked Henry as the ref rang for the bell. They all attacked him, but this time resembling their first attack minus destroying the ring. They all hit their finishers and left it with the 450 Splash by Gabriel before they left the ring.
★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★
* - The Nexus left the ring, as the show went to another quick commercial. When we return we hear "I Came To Play" by Downstait once again as The Miz comes walking down the ramp?He gets to the ring quick and says that he decided not to have such a big surprise and that he justs wants everyone to know that they are in the era of the awesome one and that the era is just starting. Now to sit back and watch a true rookie win a match. Alex Riley makes his entrance then aswell as the rest of the competitors..
★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★
* - Randy Orton & John Morrison defeated Alex Riley & Sheamus: This match was simply amazing. Riley took on Morrison first, which Morrison basically won the battle for that one; which he then went and tagged in Orton. Riley scattered to Sheamus and tagged him in and Orton got smacked around by Sheamus. After a long battle Orton hit a sick RKO on Riley for the win.
★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★
* - Orton didn't get to celebrate for too long as Miz ran in and took out Orton with a smash to the head with the WWE Championship, taking him out for a second. Sheamus then attacked Morrison outside of the ring, Miz snatched the microphone and got into Orton's face and yelled "I'm The Miz and I'm The WWE CHAMPION!" RAW ended with The Miz holding his WWE Championship up high in the air.
