Jamie Varner and Chris Horodecki have been cut by the UFC today.
Brendan Shaub will fight Frank Mir...nope.... Stephan Struve..nope.... Now Mirko Cro Cop.

I've always liked Varner, He's just having a tough run. Horodecki being released without being given a chance just pisses me off. Pat Audinwood has also been released.

Same for me also when it comes to Cro Cop. My all-time favorite fighter. One of the coolest feelings I ever had was when I stood right next to him at the UFC 119 media workouts a few months back.

I knew Varner was in trouble when his fight on the last WEC wasn't on TV. He'll land in StrikeForce easily.
Cro Cop vs. Schaub? Rooting all the way for Mirko, but I can see Brendan winning...

Although I would never wish someone to lose his or her job Jamie Varner is a guy whom I have never liked based solely on how he talks about other fighters and how highly he thinks of himself. He has been a guest on Inside MMA multiple times and every time he comes off as being an arrogant jerk. I hope that if nothing else the last few losses and being cut has at least humbled Varner.

Man, this is do or die for Cro-Cop. This is a MUST win fight for him, no question about that. If he loses this one to Schaub, he's done. He's gotta win this one. I hope he does, but you never know. Upsets can and will happen and Schaub beating a legend like Cro-Cop would be an upset, to say the least.

That's a shame about Varner and Horodecki, but like you guys, do hold hope that Cro Cop can still get the job done against an impressive Brendan Schaub.
