I'm sure we could go back to the 1800's and find laws that are insane and arrest people for those. They aren't right. In my city it is "illegal to wake a fireman when he is asleep." Also, "Women may not walk down a public street at night without being accompanied by a man." In my state, it is illegal to cut a woman's hair. Also, margarine is illegal. And if somebody wanted, people that break those laws could be arrested.

Few of the ones listed could fall under just simple assault charges, even though they are pretty stoopid!

If #8 applied in my city, I would have been arrested a lot.

#7, them. The girl should have to pay for a new desk, too. The next person that uses that desk really doesn't give a crap about her, or her friends. Maybe it'll teach her a lesson to respect other people's property. #10, it's a weapon. Period. There's no real reason why the food couldn't be cut up before hand. No reason to have it in school. #11, they were clearly trying to stir crap. Crap got stirred and they cry foul. them.

I don't think anyone would disagree with her having to pay for a new desk or being given detention. But being arrested?
It isn't a weapon. What else should schools ban that could harm someone? Should books be bolted to the desks? You can take a book and beat someone with it.
If Fred Phelps & Co can't be arrested for protesting soldier's funerals, I don't see why passing out stuff at a festival would get those people arrested.

I actually would like if my country fined us or arrested us for not recycling. It is for our own good, but yeah, most of them are just outrageous.

"Hey, let's go through their garbage to see if they are recycling. Oh while we are looking through their garbage let's see if there is anything else questionable or suspicious." Your neighbors could then throw their garbage by yours and you would be arrested for them not recycling. Advertisers will soon get the rights to know what is in your garbage so they can send you ads that match your interests.

I mean, many Mexicans don't actually care about anything unless you punish them. Most of them like to throw their trash out of the window while on their car, because they know nothing will happen to them, but as soon as they get to Calexico, CA. or San Diego, CA. for the ones that live in Tijuana, they stop doing that, because they know they can get fined or their visa could even be taken. Like I said, probably I went to far, but I still think something should be done here.

If you live in Mexico, there are many more things to worry about than recycling.

LOL. I love the "new world order" posts, Slappy. I do. They give me a good chuckle.

Really? Why should you care if they go through your garbage? Oh no, they find my old Sports mag. What will I do!
Terrible point.

Don't throw out illegal items, and they won't find it. Easy, simple, effective.

Actually slappy if the government wanted to take the time to go through everyones garbage they wouldn't have to make a law as once its out for pick up its public property. And also we are gonna get ads no matter what. I'd much rather have ads I care about then ads for dog food and expensive jewelry.

Soon they will do something and you will be upset about it. However, the rest of us will be gone because we fought for even the little things and you will not have anyone to back you up for your fight.

Which is wrong, because I could put something illegal in a garbage bag and then put it with my neighbor's garbage. Then they would get blamed for it. Where I live, you put all the garbage into a giant dumpster. How are they supposed to know if it was my garbage or Joe Blow's garbage?

I HIGHLY doubt the gov't is ever going to pay someone to dig through peoples garbage. Seriously, fall back into reality.
