Who cares about spotlight? WWE can make a new spotlight. Not everything needs to be about John Cena.

This is the exact same situation that they were in for WM10, for WM15 too, and they both were historic shows.
I'm glad we aren't getting the same thing, might actually be able to build new superstars heaven forbid. I want to see guys like Morrison, or Miz, Sheamus, Swagger, Bryan, Rhodes ect. finally get a spot on the big show, and show off their talent and show that they can be the Main Event guys.
But thinking about it, this will probably just lead to Vince giving us something like Triple H main eventing, with Orton, Rey and Edge not too far behind, and if Cena is indeed out, I see Vince really going to Lesnar now

QFT It's been said numerous times already, but the young guns need a time to step and truly shine like we're always asking for. This year's Wrestlemania might just be that chance.

I'm very sure that Jericho, Undertaker, Cena and Triple H will be wrestling at Wrestlemania.
HBK will probably be there in a small capacity but not wrestling.

Lack of Jericho upsets me. Im sure Taker will find a way to work Mania. Trips, I can do without. Same for Cena. I think its time for guys like Sheamus, Morrison, Miz and even Kofi as well as McIntyre to prove themselves.

This could be the best WM in a long time. Give all the new guys a chance to shine on the biggest stage. WM2000 didn't have Austin (the top face at the time) OR Undertaker, and it managed to pull together a good card full of quirky multi-man matches and gimmick matches. It worked, despite the convoluted main event. That undercard was pretty amazing, truth be told. Benoit/Angle/Jericho two out of three falls for both belts, the triangle ladder match, etc. 'Mania is so focused on its main events recently that it's been lacking a solid undercard. This time around they might have to focus on building the undercard to salvage what could be lackluster main events. I'm actually very excited about it.

It wouldnt sell but maybe 5 tickets and 2 PPV buys but Id be perfectly happy with Ted DiBiase defending the World Heavyweight Championship against David Hart Smith and Cody Rhodes defending the WWE World Championship against Joe Hennig...........Thats just me though. Im a sucker for 2nd gen guys.

I like the fact Mania 27 doesn't have a lot of big, star power names to help it at the mo, because you kinda get sick of the same old, same old year after year & my god, 25 was horrendous (bar the awesome HBK / Taker match which was great).
New stars need to be built & if you're down on names like Cena, Taker, Batista, Jericho, Triple H, etc, try focusing Mania around some new names who should potentially be Main Eventing in the future & who can currently hold a strong mid card position or, who should have already started Main Eventing.
As somebody mentioned, the only WrestleMania type Calibre Names currently active are Orton, Rey & Edge.
I would try & focus WrestleMania 27 heavily around the following people & maybes go for some Main Events you wouldn't usually expect to see on a Mania Card, i.e. not featuring guys like Cena, Orton, Hunter, etc.
Christian (Injury Permitting) Dolph Ziggler Jack Swagger Kofi Kingston Miz C.M. Punk Alberto Del Rio John Morrison Daniel Bryan Cody Rhodes Tyson Kidd Ted DiBiase Evan Bourne (Injury Permitting) Wade Barrett
Now. it's probably not gonna happen as I don't think his injury is gonna be healed by then, but, I would have had Christian win the 2011 Royal Rumble & Main Event one of the Championship matches.
Originally, I had the idea of the Main Event from Smack Down for WrestleMania 27 being C.M. Punk (Before he ended up on RAW commentating & then joing the RAW Roster again) going into Mania as the Defending World Heavyweight Champion & Christian chellenging him for the Title. It's different & I think those 2 would work a match / programme well together & the work in the Ring would look good.
Then for the RAW Main Event one half of it would have to involve either Cena, Orton or Triple H (per WWE's 'Annual ruiling') as obviously the buy is supposed to depend on the name.
But, if WWE were smart & used their booking wisely, you could sell Mania on the names of Orton, Cena, Triple H, etc without them having to be in the Title picture as long as they have a decent feud or story going into the match against their opponent, the PPV will sell.
That means to go along with Punk vs. Christian as one Main Event, lets go with another Title Match not to feature the usual calibre names.
Keep Miz vs. Morrison for the WWE Title at WrestleMania. If they weren't going with this match for RAW on Monday Night or at the Royal Rumble PPV, this could have been built up so well to be RAW's WrestleMania 27 Main Event.
Out of doing this, you get 2, Fresh new Mania Main Events. 4 Guys headlining WrestleMania for the first time & you let Christian & Miz have the spotlight on them as I would have Miz retain in his match & Christian win the Title in his.
If they do Money In The Bank at this Mania, that would start stealing names from above taking away from potential good Singles bouts, I mean, I love MITB at Mania, but, is there really a need now that we have the MITB PPV itself.
Now, not Main Events, bt, matches to hold up / build the rest of the Mania Card I had been thinking about were
Daniel Bryan vs. Kaval (Inter-Promotional) (Before Kaval got canned)
Daniel Bryan vs. Regal at Mania (A lot more time given to it than their TV Bout)
Randy Orton vs. C.M. Punk (Doesn't have to be a Championship match, but has credability to be a headlinging match)
Triple H vs. C.M. Punk (Again, doesn't have to be a Championship match, but has credability to be a headlinging match)
Triple H vs. Wade Barrett (Triple H had said in an interview that he apparently wanted to Face Barrett at Mania & even put him over, how WWE would build this, is down to them if Barrett is no longer with Nexus)
Now, just thinking about Barrett, depending on what they do with him & weather he is still with Nexus or not & weather Taker will be around to face him, if the rumoured Barrett Face Turn happens, they could go with Barrett teaming with Young, Skip & Tarver to face 4 members of Nexus in an 8 Man Tag or something to fill the card out.
The Intercontiental & U.S. Titles both have to be on the line next year, so, hopefully, the potential of Bryan's & Ziggler's opponent talent pool is good enough to select from (that is providing both of these guys make it to Mania with their respective Championships).
But, I personally think Mania 27 has the potential to have a Stacked Card without many Huge names & still end up being a lot better than what 25 or 26 were with the younger Talent filling the matches out a lot more than the Vets.
Personally for me, from Mania's 22 to 26, 24 has still held up as being the best between those in that period for me (In my opinion), but, I really think 27 could shock people in producing a much better product, better matches & a better Mania if the right stars are used & the booking is spot on.
Only time will tell I guess.
Can't wait for the Rumble & Elimination Chamber as thats where all the ground work is laid!
;D

the MITB, now we can actually watch some mid-card matches. I kind of agree also. It was fair enough when it was only 6 people & they only did MITB at Mania. But when it started going to 7, 8, 9 & 10 people & now that we have the MITB PPV itself, is there really a need for it to be on mania anymore. I'd only keep MITB at Mania if they went back to making it only 6 people & if they got rid of the MITB PPV. That's why I feel you haven't gotten any decent mid card or under card matches in previous years because they now try to cram everybody they think that has Main Event potential into one #1 Contender's Match & it takes away from those being involved in some decent Singles or Tag Team Matches (well, when WWE concentrates on tag Teams anyways, lets not mention the quick opener of this year, even though it made Miz 1-0, just over 4 minutes of a match is diabolical!).

A bit early to start writing off the entire event.
Plus the WWE has a few months to develop compelling storylines & building up characters heading into WM.
Would be amazed if Undertaker not on the card in some form. Can't see the Lesnar appearance happening like others are proclaiming but throw him in an "MMA" Match. Obviously Roy nelson has been interested or could get a guy like Josh Barnett, former UFC Champ. Plus throw Ken Shamrock in as guest referee.

thing is, as much as everyone, including me, wants to see new guys take the spotlight this time, realistically we'll see randy orton in the main event against some already established heel. And while I personally dont want to see that, why shouldnt they do it? ortons the guy the majority of fans would want to see in the main event, same goes for other established stars.
