All I can say is that the entire Chael Sonnen saga has to be one of the most bizarre things to ever occur with someone associated MMA.
Right up there with War Machine and Junie Browning.
Sonnen should have remembered what almost happened to Michael Bolton. Remember you get caught laundering money, you're not going to white-collar resort prison. No, no, no. you're going to federal POUND ME IN THE ASS prison.

I'm pretty sure Chael Sonnen is legitimately insane. Lol. If he's done something like this though, it does make you wonder or re-think the whole "steroid"/suspension situation...  |

Seems like you 8 month affliction together will be coming to an end.
Reading stuff about the 2 years probation. I think he will be alright considering he already gave up his license. Seems very much a case of I'll get you the other guys if you let me off easy.
He will still fight at 128

He is now suspended by the UFC. I doubt he'll be fighting anytime soon.

Who does Sonnen think he is really? UFC will hold on to him preventing him from going to Strikeforce for now. If I was Chael (which thankfully I am not) I would live in the gym and make it my refuge and escape and come back better and stronger.
But he really does need to STFU because he looks really horrible right now and is making his own bed, which he now has to lay in.

Also to the people who think I hate Sonnen. That is not true. I have a great deal of respect for the guy. But he took steroids and did not disclose it to anyone, and took the steroid using athletes way out by the Dr. (who was a nut job) saying it was a lack of testosteroin. Which is obviously a cop out, and now this. It is pretty obviouse he is a liar and cheat.
I would honestly 100% like to see Sonnen back in the UFC and fighting without steroids. I think he just stoppped believing in himself (which 99.9% of steroid users do).
(Edit): Also [N]exusSonnen fan + 1 for you for sticking by your guy. I can respect that.

Wow, I'm surprised UFC suspended him. But hey, I still love the guy. Can't wait until we see him back in the cage once everything is resolved.

How can you defend a guy when you know it's a losing battle? He's making it difficult for the fans he does have. It's been a weird few months... |
