I was going to say Uncertainty with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, because I loves him, but I really didn't get the film. And then I remembered Brick was on Instant Streaming. And Brick is an awesome, awesome movie.
I love Netflix for the TV shows...got caught up on Parks and Recreation, Psych, and Bones through it. And by caught up, I mean watched the entire series. Well, on my 5th season of Bones, now.

Netflix has so many awesome and weird documentaries, people should check out Monster Camp which is about LARPing, it's pretty hilarious.

As a film student I feel it is my duty to go hilariously overboard in this thread by combing through my recently watched tab and listing the ones I liked. In terms of genre these are all over the place so if you actually plan on watching any of these check the synopsis first. -Au Revoir Les Enfants -Being John Malkovich -The Big Lebowski -The Birth of a Nation -Black Dynamite -Black Hawk Down -Blade Runner -Blazing Saddles -The Boondock Saints -Boyz N the Hood -Brokeback Mountain -Bronson -Californication season 1 -Casino -The Chaser -The Curious Case of Benjamin Button -Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father -Dexter seasons 1 & 2 -District 9 -Dog Day Afternoon -Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind -Exit Through the Gift Shop -Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas -Following -The Fountain -The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo -The Girl Who Played With Fire -GoodFellas -The Good, The Bad, and the Weird -Hoop Dreams -The Host -Insomnia -Ip Man -Irreversible -The King of Kong -La jetee -Lady Vengeance -Let the Right One In -Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels -The Machinist -Man Bites Dog -The Man Who Knew Too Much -Mean Streets -The Messenger -Moon -My Cousin Vinny -Naked Lunch -Oldboy -On the Waterfront -One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest -Ong Bak: The Thai Warrior -The Pianist -Platoon -Ponyo -Precious -Restrepo -Rosemary's Baby -The Shawshank Redemption -Shutter Island -Signs -The Sixth Sense -Spartacus: Blood and Sand -Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance -The Third Man -The X-Files complete series (and some of the movies) -Ugetsu -Valhalla Rising -The Warriors -The White Ribbon Rather than listing all their great works individually, I recommend just running a search on directors Stanley Kubrick, Francis Ford Coppola and Akira Kurosawa. Between all three I can count the bad films on one hand, and nearly all of their work is currently available to stream. Netflix Instant is also goldmine for classics from the 1930's and 1940's, though I doubt WF has many fans of silent cinema. And finally, this list should be consulted in the event anybody wants to do a blind watch and needs something of quality: mubi.com/lists/1917

My Instant Queue is full right now at 500 titles. I have stuff from the original Battlestar to the new Battlestar; stuff from M and The Third Man to Disorderlies and Porky's Revenge. I love Instant Watch.

I'm almost done with the entire series of My Name Is Earl. And they have all 11 seasons of Married: With Children also...but I've got all the DVDs already.

I've only recently heard about Netflix and I'm still a bit confused as to the concept of the whole deal. I heard it's only like $8 a month for a membership and you have access to hundreds or thousands of movies/television seasons and such.
Now, once you sign up, do you download the movies or what?? Do you get to keep the movies in your collection?? Once your membership expires, do you then lose all of the movies you had access to?? What's the quality of these movies on Netflix?? Are they HD/Blu-Ray quality or just standard DVD quality??
If this Netflix is as good as I've heard, then movie rental places like Blockbuster and Rogers Plus are in serious trouble. I mean, what's the point in renting when you can pay $8 a month and have access to thousands of movies/seasons??
I don't know if I'll sign up to Netflix or not. I can get a trial version on my PS3, but I have yet to install it. Is it worth trying out or what??

I can get a trial version on my PS3, but I have yet to install it. Is it worth trying out or what?? 8 a month for unlimited streaming capabilities only. Otherwise its like 11 for unlimited streaming and 1 disc out at a time. I would recommend one disc out at a time if you like to keep up with the newest releases and don't mind getting the DVDs and keeping track of them. Once you sign up, netflix will ask you questions about the movies and tv shows you like and what genres you prefer. The more movies you rate, the better idea it will have of what recommendations to make to you. You can always just search and find what you want to watch on Netflix online or on your Ps3 When searching, you can add to instant or add to dvd queue. It keeps a list and you can organize the list of titles however you like. I organize mine by TV shows, Movies I love, and movies I haven't watched. If you let your account expire or cancel, you can always re-activate it and it will still have your queues. Instant on netflix is in HD for the shows that were shot in HD. Cartoons, for example, aren't in HD Blockbuster is almost out of business completely already. Netflix instant is great, I haven't really heard anything about their program online. Obviously if I took all the time I did to write this, I think it is worth your time. And you can always cancel after your free membership. And to BriGuy, Man on Wire was pretty good. I had never heard any of the story until I watched the film

For those of you who like good Sci-Fi and haven't had a chance to watch Farscape, Babylon 5, Battlestar Gallactica, or Firefly, the entire series of all of them are on Instant Streaming. Excellent shows.

I was in the middle of the third Die Hard movie and went to sleep. So I get up to finish it in the morning only to find out that it had been taken from the instant stream section, and placed in DVD only. Pretty upsetting, but funny all the same.
Thanks to Netflix, I discovered the epicness that is the Boondock Saints movies.

For stand-up comedy fans, they also have the entire "Comedy Central Presents" series... which is something like 200+ specials by a ton of different comedians. The episodes are alphabetized by the comedians' names, too, which makes it super easy to find a favorite comedian quickly.
Love Netflix... such a good investment for a TV/movie buff.
