Hay guys.
Now i never saw Mordecai, it was during a phase where i stopped watchin WWE, and i don't know too much about this guy.
From the research i have done he had about 5 TV matches then vanished. Damn the possibility's with this character was great! I assume he was crafted to feud with Taker/Kane.
So what did you guys think? We need a taker "replacement" soon, do you think they should try this kinda thing again? Anybody know WWE's original plans for this guy? How would you book him?
Hes my little obsession for now!

I remember a little about his Character played by Kevin Fertig AKA Kevin Thorn. They aired a couple of vignettes on Smackdown hyping his debut. He was a religious type of character to rectify those who have sinned. He premiered at Judgement Day 2004 against Scotty Too Hotty. I remember he didn't last any longer than a couple of months as he ended up getting into a bar fight. WWE sent him back to Developmental after the incident before releasing him the next year (2005).

No problem. Yeah I think it would have been interesting to seem him get into some feuds with Taker or Kane. I think it would have ended up being a squash match though with Taker. Unfortunately he didnt make it to that point. Hopefully creative can come up with a dark evil type character to somewhat shadow the Undertaker but it seems that now WWE Creative is doing away with the over the top gimmicks for superstars which is a bummer...

Loved his promo videos and overall look, in ring he was ok. Shame the gimmick didn't last longer, fued with Taker would have been good.

Great thread.
I had always wondered what happened to this gimmick. Imo, it had huge potential.
I think it would be wise for WWE to bring back this gimmick (or similar), as we all know that Taker won't be wrestling for much longer.

If I'm not mistaken, he was in the middle of a program with Hardcore Holly when he got sent back down, wasn't he?

I thought he was cool... still don't understand why they sent him back to OVW and brought him back as a Vampire
Anywho, if I remember correctly there was a vignette where he claimed that WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero was the biggest sinner of them all... I suppose he was gonna work a program with Eddie before...you know

I loved him and was really hoping he'd be sticking around, but apparently Furtig himself didn't like the character and then there was an incident involving a scrap in a club or something. He could have been big, I preferred this to his Kevin Thorn character.

I really dug the character a lot and had high hopes for him. As others have said, a feud with Taker would have been awesome.
