History In February 2009, wrestling promoter Eric Martin announced a new company called the Global Wrestling League. Originally intended to be a touring promotion, Martin's first act as owner was to announce its first tour. After a few months of planning, Martin officially announced the details of it first tour. Named Around The World in 80 Events, the concept of the tour was 8 events in 10 different countries. The tour began on July 1, 2009 and was to last just under two years. Featuring up and coming new talent as well as well known talent, the tour lasted 15 weeks until Martin announced the tours cancellation due to financial problems. After months of trying to get GWL back, Martin was able to work with MTV to a television deal in February 2010, one year after the promotions formation. The television show, simply called GWL-TV ran from March 4. After the April 29 show, MTV announced the shows cancellation after they decided not to renew the show for a second season. Martin once again worked hard to bring the promotion back and, in December 2010, announced on his official Twitter account that the GWL will return as a touring promotion in 2011. [/font]

Please please please keep this going, I loved the last two times you had this running mainly down to how you pushed my character. Hoping we get the chance to sign up rookies. Wish you didn't vacate the belts as your title history looks weak and Zane lost the darn belt hopefully he cuts a promo on the injustice of being stripped of the belts. YWN for the win! good luck and keep this up.

Some great matches to kick off a new start with, you could have kept a few back even to main event future shows but I can see your going all out to put on a brilliant show, Wrench/Jacobs sounds awesome and a great way to get the crowd into full gear after the rookies match, Jason/Hart should be a fast paced encounter and hoping Jason comes out on top esp with Kagemann at ringside, Ace/Evan should also put on a great match, and what can I say about the main event hopefully its an abosulte brawl and sticks to the Street Fight aspect, Taylor for the win! Good luck and keep this up.

GLOBAL WRESTLING LEAGUE PRESENTS: GOLDEN TRAVELS TOUR 2011-2012 SHOW 1, LEG 1 NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK
PRE-SHOW NOTES: The crew all arrived to the arena about an hour and a half before the shows start. The wrestlers all arrived about 40 minutes before the shows start. Ace Bennett was the last to arrive. The total number in attendance is 1,057.
RESULTS The pyrotechnics go off and the tours main theme, "The Bitter End" by Black Stone Cherry plays. Ring announcer Andy Jones welcomes the New York crowd to the first show in the new GWL tour. Before he could continue, Y.W.N's theme hits and Zane Taylor walks out with Steven Kagemann and Jason Williams following him to the ring. After waiting for the crowd to tune down Taylor explains why he has come out to the ring. He tells the fans that not only was he screwed from his GWL Heavyweight Championship, tonight's New York City Street Fight won't be for the title. Taylor then adds that he demands owner Eric Martin to officially announce him as the GWL Heavyweight Champion and that he has the night off for his mistreatment. Ace Bennett's music then hits and he makes his way to the ring. Bennett tells Taylor he isn't the only one who didn't lose the title. He goes on to say that back in 2009, he was champion but had to vacate the title due to the tours cancellation. After Taylor and Bennett go at each others throats, Eric Martin walks out and demands they stop right now. He then tells them they will both have an opportunity to win back the title very soon, but tonight, they should be focused on their matches. Martin leaves as Taylor and Bennett walk to the back, telling each other they will become champion with Kagemann and Williams following Taylor.
ROOKIE MATCH Ryan Scott vs Jack Arrows Both these men look to impress not only the fans in attendance, but the GWL Veterans as well. Scott is the more experienced out of the two, having been mentored by Duan Sanchez Jr. while he appeared on GWL-TV last April. Because of that, Scott took more control of the match, making Arrows very frustrated every time Scott would counter his attacks. After a good little back and fourth bout, Ryan Scott came out victories by hitting his finishing move, Sweet Dreamz, for the pin. Winner: Ryan Scott | Match Time - 6:23
Former GWL-TV commentary team Josh Stanford and Zachary Moore make their way to the ring. Stanford asks the fans how they though of the Rookie Match. The crowd response with a respectable small pop. Moore then announces that two new signings are here tonight. He first introduces PJ White, a 19-year-old kid from New Albany, Indiana with no previous wrestling experience. Stanford then introduces the second signing, Anthony Barenti, a 22-year-old New Yorker from the Brooklyn area, who has two years of wrestling experience. Moore then tells both White and Barenti that it is great they are here tonight. Stanford agrees with Moore and tells them that next week, they will be both put to the test when they face one another. Moore thanks the fans for their time as they all leave the ring.
GRUDGE MATCH - THE FINAL BATTLE Paul Wrench vs Nick Jacobs These two had a very heated rivalry back in the GWL-TV days. Wrench, with the help of owner Eric Martin, made Jacobs life a living hell. The match started off really good, with Jacobs getting the upper hand. Jacobs and Wrench then fight back and fourth until Wrench stops. Jacobs looks confused at Wrench as he looks around the arena. Wrench then goes to the corner and goes on one knee. Jacobs, still confused, asks the referee to check with him to see what's up. As the referee checks on Wrench, an unknown man runs from the back and hits Jacobs over the head with a steel briefcase. The man then runs off to the back. Wrench, straight after this has happened, quickly goes over for the victory as he pins an unconscious Jacobs. Winner: Paul Wrench | Match Time: 8:22 After the match, Wrench goes and gets a chair. He tries to hit Jacobs with it but the referee stops him. A few GWL officials then come out to escort Wrench to the back.
Christopher Kennedy Jones then comes out with Anthony Emerson with him. Jones tells the crowd that they are now going to witness the greatest man in the GWL in action next. Emerson taps Jones on the shoulder to get his attention and tries to tell Jones he forgot to mention him. Jones then says he had stated that all wrong. Emerson then has a grin on his face. Jones then says that the fans will witness the greatest man in all of wrestling in action next. Emerson loses his grin and taps angrily on Jones' shoulder. After they exchange words off mic, Cody Rejero and X Jack make their way to the ring.
TAG TEAM MATCH Cody Rejero and X Jack vs Christopher Kennedy Jones and Anthony Emerson Rejero, X Jack and Jones all were in the GWL International Championship title hunt in the GWL-TV days, with Jones the former title holder. Rejero and Emerson start off the match. Emerson, still pretty annoyed with Jones, tries to prove a point to him and show how good of a wrestler he is. He gains control of the match but putting Rejero in a headlock. Before he could do anymore, Jones blind tags himself in. Emerson, now even more annoyed goes face to face with Jones. This causes Rejero to knock both men out of the ring. Rejero and X Jack then both do a diving attack to them and then return to the ring to taunt the crowd, who are going crazy from the last spot. Jones slowly gets back in and Rejero continues to control the match. Rejero then tags in X Jack, which makes Jones spring into life and tag in Emerson. Emerson and X Jack brawl until X Jack gets the upper hand and hits a critical kick to Emerson's head, which makes him wobbly. X Jack then hits The X for the victory by pin as Jones just stares on at X Jack. Winners: Cody Rejero and X Jack | Match Time: 11:34 After the match, Rejero and X Jack celebrate their victory. Jones walks to the back, leaving Emerson to be helped by the referee and a trainer.
Jason Williams (W/Steven Kagemann) vs Kevin Hart Before the match could begin, both Williams and Kagemann attacked Hart. The crowd started to boo them heavily as they wanted to see this match happen. Williams orders Kagemann to get two chairs. Kagemann does and they both repeatedly hit Hart with the chairs. Taylor then walks out halfway down the aisle, clapping at Williams and Kagemann's work. Match Didn't Officially Start
Terry Davidson then comes out to interview Matt before his match. Matt comes out and Davidson asks Matt what he has been doing in the last few months. Matt tells Davidson he has been training a lot harder and will show The Hart Force he isn't a push over. Davidson wishes him luck as Tyler Hart and Riley Hart make their way to the ring.
Matt vs Tyler Hart (W/Riley Hart) In the early part of the match, Matt showed he has improved a lot since we lasted saw him, but that didn't stop the two-time GWL Tag Team Champion from gaining control. Tyler would use Riley as his advantage as he distracted the referee long enough for Riley to do some damage to Matt. The crowd started to get really behind Matt, which must of helped him as he got the victory with a roll up out of nowhere. Winner: Matt | Match Time: 5:42 After the match, Matt quickly left the ring and celebrated up the aisle. Tyler couldn't believe what happened and started to shout at Riley, who was just as shocked as he was.
Ace Bennett vs Evan Pagano (W/Devin Curtis) This is a pretty big task for Evan Pagano, even though he maybe a former USA Cup holder, he is up against a former GWL Heavyweight Champion. Bennett just cleaned the floor with Pagano. Mocking Curtis who had to watch unwillingly on the outside. Pagano fought back a few times, but Bennett was able to put him down each time. Curtis did what anyone would do at this point and went in to try and help his friend and tag partner but Bennett quickly got to him and hit his finisher, the Shining Wizard. Bennett then returned his attention to Pagano, who was dragging himself to the corner. Bennett then signaled for the Syracuse Drop, but Pagano reversed it in time and quickly went for the pin, only to get a two count. Pagano, now running on adrenaline, got the upper hand over Bennett. Pagano looked to be on the verge of victory but Bennett hit a lethal Shining Wizard on Pagano for the victory. Winner: Ace Bennett | Match Time: 15:27 After the match, Bennett helped Pagano up and show him respect for the match by raising his arm in the air, before leaving the ring.
NEW YORK CITY STREET FIGHT Zane Taylor vs Duan Sanchez Jr. Taylor and Duan circled the ring before they started their attacks to one another. Taylor and Duan quickly took the match outside of the ring, with Duan use a kendo stick to hit Taylor repeatedly on the back. Taylor would try and run away from Duan, but Duan would catch up every time he did. Taylor then gained control when he tripped Duan to hit the steel steps face first. Taylor then got a chair and hit Duan over his head while it was still rested on the steps. Taylor dragged Duan back to the center of the ring only for a two count. Taylor then went outside and set up a table. He then called for Williams and Kagemann to come out and help him beat down Duan more. All three men would hit their finishers on Duan and Taylor would then order them to go back to their locker room. Taylor then looked at the table and started to set up Duan to go through it, but Duan would use the strength left in him to push Taylor through the table. Both men took awhile to get up, with both of them wobbly. Taylor slowly returned to the ring but was met with the SPAM! Kick by Duan for the victory. Winner: Duan Sanchez Jr. | Match Time: 18:44 After the match, Duan celebrated his win until Williams and Kagemann returned and beat him down. Kevin Hart then came out with a steel chair and chased them off, with them also helping Taylor to the back. Hart and Duan would then continue to celebrate to the crowd to close the show.

Good show, now that I've read it the memories are coming back. Glad to see Ace pick up the win, although I'm not really sure if you are using him as a face or heel, because he does good guy and bad guy actions during his match. The street fight sounded good, Duan winning isn't a surprise and I wouldn't be surprised if he were the one to get the title next. Still love the YWN stable also. Keep it up.

Great show, the rookie match and the introduction to the other rookies was a good way to start off. Liked the opening segment and lines up potential challengers for the gold when it goes on the line in the future, liked Bennett also coming out. Hopefully PJ and Barenti have a match against each other. Happy that Wrench got the win and am intrested by the mystery man. Although disapointed that Hart/Jason didn't start I like the way that it built up YWN and sets up the post match main event segment and future match/es, I liked the story of Ace/Evan I expected it to be more even but I like the underdog story you built with Evan, main event was great but made Zane look a bit weak but it does make up for it with YWN coming out. Good luck and keep this up.

Glad you went with the Rookie match hoping PJ can pull out a win, not a fan of the handicap match but I'm sure it'll add to the storyline development. The other matches sound good. Wonder who will be the mystery oppenent prob someone returning from the old GWL, Duan/Ace is a great main event. Good luck and keep this up.

GLOBAL WRESTLING LEAGUE PRESENTS: GOLDEN TRAVELS TOUR 2011-2012 SHOW 2, LEG 1 LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK
PRE-SHOW NOTES: The crew all once again arrived to the arena about an hour and a half before the shows start. The wrestlers all arrived about 50 minutes before the shows start. Christopher Kennedy Jones was the last to arrive. The total number in attendance is 1,022.
RESULTS The pyrotechnics go off and the tours main theme, "The Bitter End" by Black Stone Cherry plays. The show starts off with Zane Taylor walking out alone. He talks about last weeks New York City Street Fight match against Duan Sanchez Jr. and how he felt he was robbed from a victory. He demands a rematch against Duan for tonight. Eric Martin comes out and tells Taylor he can't have a rematch tonight, but will work out another time for when he can. Taylor isn't happy with the announcement and demands a match for tonight. Martin tells Taylor the show is completely booked. Taylor then tells Martin he wants to be Anthony Emerson's mystery opponent tonight, but Martin tells him someone else has already took that spot. Taylor begins to lose it and starts shouting down the microphone that he shouldn't be mistreated like this. Martin tries to calm him down but Taylor pushes him away and storms to the back with Martin and a few security guards quick following him.
ROOKIE MATCH PJ White vs Anthony Barenti With two years of wrestling experience behind him, Barenti quickly got control of the match. White tried to reverse some of Barenti's moves, but Barenti continued to dominate the match. Barenti then went for his finishing move, Strong Island, but White reversed it into a pin attempt for a two count. White then gained some control of the match, even hitting his finisher, White Lightning, for a two count. Barenti regained control after raking White's eyes and hit his finisher, Strong Island, for the victory. Winner: Anthony Barenti | Match Time: 7:12
Ring announcer Andy Jones receives an envelope message from Eric Martin to read out to the crowd. He tells the fans that due to Taylor's actions at the start of the show, he is banned from the rest of the night. It also says that next week, Taylor will face Kevin Hart in a Submission Match. Jones then introduces the next match of the night.
HANDICAP MATCH Kevin Hart vs Y.W.N (Steven Kagemann and Jason Williams) Kagemann and Williams were not happy with what they heard about what happened to their leader, Zane Taylor just a few moments ago. Kagemann starts off the match for them, but Hart is able to take control. Hart continues to control the match until a very frustrated Kagemann tags in Williams. Williams is also unable to take control of the match, so Kagemann attacks Hart from behind, with the referee distracted by Williams in the corner. Williams then takes advantage and beats down Hart even more. Williams then tags in Kagemann, who would beat down Hart for a bit, then tag back Williams in. This would continue for awhile until Hart starts to fight back when Kagemann tries to hit his finishing move, Fire Tornado, but misses him. Hart then takes out Williams on the apron and quickly locks in his finishing move, the Sharpshooter, for the submission victory. Winner: Kevin Hart | Match Time: 10:06 After the match, Hart gets attacked by Williams from behind and when Kagemann recovers, they both beat him down. They both taunt the crowd as they leave a beaten down Hart in the ring to be attended by the referee and a trainer.
Cody Rejero and X Jack make their way to the ring. X Jack tells the fans that Rejero and himself have been talking, and are going to go for the GWL Tag Team Championship. Rejero adds that tonight is their first step to winning the titles.
TAG TEAM MATCH Bret Thomas and Jay Tombs vs Cody Rejero and X Jack Rejero starts the match with Thomas. It starts out even, but Rejero gains control after Thomas crashes into the post after trying to spear Rejero, who was resting on the turnbuckles. Tombs shakes his head in disappointment as Rejero continues to control the match. X Jack then gets tagged in and the crowd come alive. X Jack is quick over with the crowd tonight. X Jack gets distracted by Tombs, who starts shouting insults at him. X Jack just walks over and punches Tombs, then pushes him onto the barricade. X Jack turns around and gets hit with Thomas' finisher, the Hammer's Fall. Thomas then crawls over to X Jack to pin him but X Jack kicks Thomas in the face. X Jack then hits his finisher, The X, for a two count when Tombs makes the save. Rejero then comes in and brawls with Tombs, as both men go over the top rope and continue to fight outside the ring. Thomas gets up and turns around as X Jack is at the top rope. X Jack tries for a crossbody but Thomas ducks in time and locks in an Ankle Lock onto X Jack. Thomas drags him into the center of the ring and puts more pressure onto the hold. Rejero makes the save by hitting a crossbody of his own onto Thomas. He then drags X Jack to their corner and tags himself in and hits his finisher, the Piledriver, for the victory. Winners: Cody Rejero and X Jack | Match Time: 12:53 After the match, Rejero helps X Jack to the back while celebrating their victory. Thomas recovers in the ring as Tombs enters. Tombs starts to argue with Thomas about their loss before they both exit the ring.
The Hart Force go to the interview area, where Terry Davidson is waiting for them. He asks them about the statement from X Jack and Cody Rejero before their match. Riley tells Terry that they are glad a new team has formed, because they have beaten every team that is in GWL and won the GWL Tag Team titles twice. Terry then asks them about Matt's upset victory over Tyler last week. Tyler tells Terry he let his guard down for one second, but it won't happen tonight.
The Hart Force (Tyler and Riley Hart) vs Matt and Nick Jacobs Tyler started with Matt. Tyler quickly gained control before tagging in Riley. Riley then continued to control the match for his team. Riley the cockily taunts Jacobs. As he returns his attention to Matt, he gets speared by him. Matt is then able to tag in Jacobs, who takes out Tyler on the apron before going for Riley. Jacobs then hits his finisher, the Jacobs Drop onto Riley. Before he could go for the pin, Paul Wrench runs down, but is stopped by Matt, who fights him off. This distracts the referee, and the unknown man from last week once again attacks Jacobs with a steel briefcase, and making Riley pin him. As the referee turns back, he sees Riley pin Jacobs, Riley gets the victory for his team. Winners: The Hart Force | Match Time: 7:58 After the match, Paul Wrench goes into the ring after beating down Matt, and tries to attack Jacobs, but the unknown man stops him. The unknown man then gets a microphone and introduces himself as Daniel Wrench, Paul's brother. He goes on to say he is here to help Paul control his actions, as well as making a name for himself in the GWL. Daniel then orders Paul to go to the back, which Paul does. Daniel then follows with the crowd heavily booing both of them.
Christopher Kennedy Jones vs Devin Curtis (W/Evan Pagano) Jones offered a handshake at the start of the match, but Curtis refused to, thinking it was a trap. Jones continues to offer the handshake, with leads to Curtis accepting. Jones then tries to slap Curtis, but Curtis manages to dodge it in time and slap Jones instead. This enrages Jones as Jones tries to clothesline Curtis, but Curtis is once again quicker than Jones and ducks in time. The match then goes back and forth from there, with both men almost getting the victory. Curtis is then able to set up Jones for his finishing move, the 450 Splash, which he hits for the victory. Winner: Devin Curtis | Match Time: 8:19 After the match, Jones recovers and sits in the ring as Curtis and Pagano celebrate on their way to the back. Jones gets up and starts to shake his head, before leaving to the back himself.
Next is the Mystery Opponent match. Anthony Emerson comes out and says that last week, he lost his match because of an egomaniac named Christopher Kennedy Jones. He then says he was trained for singles action, that's why tonight will be a different outcome. He then asks for his opponent to come out and face him. No one comes out for about 15 seconds until Colt Cabana, a regular guest from the last tour in 2009 came out to a great reaction from the crowd.
Anthony Emerson vs Colt Cabana Emerson tried to get control of the match quickly but Cabana moved in time, which cause Emerson to hit the turnbuckle and back into a Cabana clothesline. Cabana then locked in the Billy Goat’s Curse for the submission victory. Winner: Colt Cabana | Match Time: 1:43 After the match, Cabana celebrated his victory before going to the back. Before he was able to walk through the curtain, Jason Williams attacks him, beating him down by throwing him into the barricade and hitting the Psycho Driver onto the concrete entrance way. Williams then stared down at Cabana as referee's and trainers checked on him.
Duan Sanchez Jr. vs Ace Bennett These men never seem to disappoint once they go against each other. Former friends turned enemies, this match turned out to be another classic between the two. Bennett and Duan both went face to face before fighting each other, with Bennett making the first move. Duan reversed Bennett's headlock and locked one of his own on him. Bennett was also about to reverse it as both men back away from each other. Bennett then gained control again, getting a few near falls. Bennett would then try to hit Duan's own finisher, the SPAM! Kick onto him, but Duan ducked in time and hit it on Bennett for a two count. Duan then controlled the match, getting a few near falls. Duan, would then try and hit Bennett with a second SPAM! Kick but Bennett would be able to duck in time and would chop block Duan onto one knee, so he could hit his finisher, the Shining Wizard for a two count. Bennett would slam the mat and argue with the referee about the pin count. As he turns his attention back to Duan, he would be hit with another SPAM! Kick, which also got a two count. Duan would look around to see what he can do next and then went for his second finisher, the Second Generation Moonsault for the victory. Winner: Duan Sanchez Jr. | Match Time: 16:44 After the match, Duan celebrated his victory until Bennett recovered. The two stared at each other for a few seconds before Bennett walked off. Duan continued to celebrate his victory to end the show.

Good show. Sucks to see Ace lose, really hope to see him in some form of title match with Taylor, Hart, and Sanchez though. Maybe a touney or just a flat our four way match. Glad you are focusing on making tag teams in this. X Jack/Rejero sounds like an interesting pairing, wonder what kind of name you will give them. Like the introduction of the new Wrench brother, gives potential for another new tag team if you need one. Really don't like Hart going over YWN in a handicap match, makes them look weak. I would've had an unclear finish like a countout or DQ or something. Other than that, good work.
