life is a crazy enough concept that i'd leave anything as a possibility. It really is a crazy concept. A few years ago my step-dad took me to a doctor appointment and was looking at a detailed diagram of the human body. He was amazed by it, and rightfully so. It's amazing that almost every thing in our body, big or little, contributes to our living, breathing, eating, etc. Then there's the big question of how the did we get here? Men of science will probably say evolution, but not even that answers the question. Something had to, at one point, come from nothing and that, for me, is a hard concept to understand. As for an afterlife, I really don't know. Like the majority of people on here (and the planet) I'd like to think there is. I had a conversation with my friend about the afterlife one time and he said he'd rather be in a Hell than nothing at all. I said I'd rather have nothing than be in Hell. I remember when I used to go to church when I was younger, 12 or 13, the pastor talking about Hell. Scared the **** out of me. He said Hell was the loneliest place you could ever imagine. No one to talk to, surrounded by darkness, in intense physical, mental and emotional pain. I don't know if that's just his belief or if it's a Christian belief (Badnewz might be able to shed some light on that), but it's a scary thought nonetheless.

Life after death is like before you were born. Nothing.
I think heaven would be rather boring anyway, I mean, sitting around on a cloud all day? Who would want that, especially with some man who created all these nasty diseases and takes the lives of innocent children whilst giving power to the worst people on earth.

Even if there was a heaven or hell, no one could possibly comprehend what the hell it is, he was just using that as a scare tactic.

Anybody ever wondered how in the hell could you possibly burn in Hell for eternity? Wouldn't your body just turn to ashes and you'd die again...

Anybody ever wondered how in the hell could you possibly burn in Hell for eternity? Wouldn't your body just turn to ashes and you'd die again... Well, the one thing we can all be sure of is that physically, we aren't going anywhere but six feet under, unless you choose to be cremated. If there is a Hell where you burn for eternity, you'd only have the sensation that you're being burned. So no, you wouldn't die again because you wouldn't be a physical being anymore, or at least not the being you are now.

You dont have to be religious to believe in life after death and Heaven.

i believe there's something more....i myself haven't experienced any particular stories, but i know those who have....
my best friend's wife told me a story that once she was in her old house,in the kitchen, and she saw someone in the doorway...it was her aunt...she didn't coem in,but stayed in the doorway, said she was passing by quickly, and just wanted to stop "on her way" and make sure Mandi was alright, that she was happy and everythign was good...when Mandi said yes,her aunt said good, and told her to be good ...Mandi said she turned around for a second and pulled out a chair at the table to sit down, when she did,and turned around again, her aunt was gone... 5 minutes later, the phine rang, and her mother got the phonecall - her sister (Mandi's aunt) had passed away...they founf her body in her house about 30 minutes ago....so,she was already dead and cold when she "stopped by" to talk to Mandi....
my mother was talking to one of our neighbors once, and he happened to mention that there was a man on our porch, while we were out grocery shopping that morning,he just thought she should know...he described him as an older man, looking like in his late 70's/early 80's, with a red baseball hat on and a blue jacket...said he was just sitting there,in one of the porch chairs for awhile, then when he came back out later, about 20 minutes later ,he was gone...my mother turned white...he perfectly described my grandfather, who was 81, always wore an old red baseball cap and blue jacket, and,if no one was home,he would sit in one of the chairs on the porch and wait awhile to see if we were coming home....he'd do this every morning....should be noted that, the morning my neighbor saw this man,my Grandfather had been dead for over 3 months...
so,believe or not....i definitely do...
