..................
The year is 2011 - but this world is slightly different than the one we know. There is no such thing as professional wrestling and never has been - until now.
Up until now, there was no Stone Cold. No Hulk Hogan. Not even a Brooklyn Brawler or Norman Smiley.
You will be the owner and director of the first ever pro wrestling federation. YOU will have to make the history. YOU will create the talent, the gimmicks, the feuds, the kliques. The fate of every superstar is in your hands - there is no past between them; no history. You will decide who will be a main eventer and who will be a jobber.
What is important is that all of the talent in your federation start out in their prime. There are no dead wrestlers either. AJ Styles could face Owen Hart. Every wrestler in your federation starts out as a fresh, unknown talent with no previous history behind him. You decide where they will go. They do not enter your federation with any kind of kayfabe behind them.
You dictate what pro-wrestling will be. You call all the shots and make all the moments that bring "Attitude" to pro-wrestling.
There is absolutely no dependency on the history of wrestling and the stories we know. It's all in your hands to build that history, or even do your own variations of story lines we have come to love.

I don't know about no pro wrestling. that would mean you basically could have 0 storylines but its pretty good.
Wait so when do we start? do we pick a wrestler? please start this sounds pretty cool

Wait so when do we start? do we pick a wrestler? please start this sounds pretty cool No, I mean that this is in an alternate reality where up until now, there has been no such thing as pro wrestling. You play your own fed - and it is the first ever pro wrestling federation. There ARE story lines. You make your own starting from scratch. You have to build the pro wrestling industry and all the talent on your own. You can even give completely different gimmicks to wrestlers than what they had in real life. You could make jobbers you love become main eventers, and have Hulk Hogan be a jobber. Just an example - Since this is a fresh start from scratch, you can't have Triple H debut in your Fed and be like “My God! It's Triple H! He's here! Triple H is here to form the Klique with his buddies HBK and the Outsiders!!!”. No. You would have to introduce Triple H as a new fresh, unknown talent, and you would have to build him according to what you want him to be. If you want him to be friends with HBK, you would have to build that up on your own, instead of relying on past storylines the WWE did in real life. When you begin your first show, none of the wrestlers have any known relation to each other, unless you say they are related through a bloodline, or they were friends as children, etc. I think it's the ultimate creative idea for a figure fed. It always seemed cheesy to me relying on the stories done in wrestling in real life. You have to act out every single concept and history you want in your federation. You can't just use some old feud from TV to build your storyline – you build it on your own. That's the point. You have to be creative and unique, rather than saying “Yeah back in WCW these two were bitter enemies, so now they're gonna fight!”. You MAKE history on your own. You guys can do this however you want. I'm thinking of it as a Figure Fed idea though. If I had a friend to play this with, I would probably buy a collection of figures (I have none currently) to do this with. So if anyone likes the idea, please, take it.

I mean if I got enough encouragement, I could probably do this on my own.
But I have ZERO wrestling figures or accessories right now.
I could buy some lots on ebay, and go to TRU for a wrestling ring. I could make it as a PICTURE FED, but I wouldn`t be able to have a fancy set up at all.... it would be like a wrestling ring on my rug on the floor.
Also collecting enough weapons and props may be difficult. But establishing the idea of using weapons in matches, interfering in matches, etc, would be things I establish as the Fed goes on. These things would be quite controversial to start.
Come to think of it, I could probably do each show as a Youtube video with music, pictures, and captions.
If I did it, you`d have to bare with me. I might have to settle with having some older figures in the fed, maybe even BCA or WCW Toybiz. It would be quite plain to start. But many people have told me I can create some great storylines. My mind is brainwashed by the attitude era circa 1997-1999.

It is a great idea to use these huge wrestlers and they actually are nothing because who the hell are they to everyone?

Oh I see what you're doing now. You don't need a big fancy setup, just use what you got. I always wanted to do that but I don't have many figs of my favorite wrestlers

You don't need figures for a TEXT fed.
Eh, maybe, it would need HEAPS of commitment, though. It's essentially the same as a 100% custom fed.

I've never used figures. I've been fine, TBH. Never knew people played it out 'till now.

I didn't think people actually played it out, I just thought they used figures for photos. Like you write a match and get the figs and take a pose and put it with the match..

I didn't think people actually played it out, I just thought they used figures for photos. Like you write a match and get the figs and take a pose and put it with the match.. When my friend and I were younger, we sure did play it out. It was just something for the both of us, we didn't even take pictures (there were no digital cameras, and it was hard to upload stuff). I did keep track of the results though. If you like playing with wrestling figures, it can be LOADS of fun. In fact, if you do play with them, I don't see the point unless you play it as an ongoing figure federation. What's the point in playing a bunch of random matches that have no meaning in the future? So it's more meaningful to do your own shows, act out stories, have a title history, and so on. My friend and I would split the roster a part and we each controlled are own chosen wrestlers after we did a draw of who gets who. Then we'd permanently control those stars. We'd split the championships amongst ourselves and rotate them every now and then. Then we'd act out our parts of the show in front of each other, and shock each other with what happens next. Not much fun on your own though. But if I was doing it now, I'd probably just take pictures. Sure doing it with my idea, which I've never done before, big superstars who are meaningful in real life start out as nothing. But that's the point... you get to build them on your own, make them into stars, and script their entire career. Wrestlers you don't like can just be jobbers. You also don't have to rely on crappy things that happened in real life in wrestling. No Arquette or Russo as Champion! It's way more creative to start your own history, rather than basing a feud or story on something that happened in real life. That can be fun as well, but it lacks creativity and the chance for something really fun, new, and unique.

Oh yes I agree. I used to come home from school everyday and play. But I didn't write down stuff I just remembered it. I used the same figs over and over my Dad would make wooden ladders, he had some great woodwork however now the ladder is messed up. I had tables, chairs, signs, an arena and had some epic matches. It is awesomely fun on your own though, like I said I used to draw blood with a red marker and color the G.I Joes faces when they were having a hardcore match. I remember having last man standing matches, having a superplex where the ring fell in like Big Show and Lesnar. new jack dives off the stereo.
I agree I might ditch my BYWF and do something like that. I mean it would be awesome, as now I see what you're saying. The wrestlers have no backstory or win loss records, it's just you making stuff. Like say Eugene isn't like he was in the WWE, you could make him a Brookyln Brawler and be a beast. Andre the giant could feud with big show etc. I like your idea now.
The only problem I see is the youtube video, it would take a big amount of effort and over time you would stop. I was thinking maybe just describe the match in detail and take a small photo of something that happened in the match.
This is an awesome idea, you could have the fed going for 2 months and have HBK debut and say he wrestled in Japan and so did HHH before moving to your fed and they could be friends. you could have ULTIMATE creativity!
If you don't mind I might take this idea and use it...

If you don't mind I might take this idea and use it... Hehehehe.... Thanks man! Yes, by all means, take the idea and exploit it to your liking. I don't expect any credit either. Although in my idea.... there was absolutely NO pro wrestling either... not even New Japan. Not even untelivised events. It's a new thing that debuts fresh on TV and quickly becomes a hit. Although, it's up to you how you do it. With the Youtube idea.... I meant it more as an idea for if you were only taking pictures, not actually playing them. I'm 25 and drunk right now... but I think playing the fed on my own at this point would be lame as . But if it's fun for you, go for it! Andre feuding with The big Show??? That's EXACTLY what I thought. Expecially using both of them in their R3 forms. I've also thought about GI Joe wrestling figures..... They REALLY should make wrestling figures in GI Joe format. I might even restart my collection if they did that, especially if they were priced at like $7.99. It would be sick. Again about the Youtube idea... for me it could work, I'm good at making music videos and such with WMM. I'd just take it at a slow, unrealistic pace and do 3 RAWS and then a PPV, and contionuosly like that. It wouldn't have to be on a real time frame schedule week by week. I could do 1 show every three weeks and still have it equal out to 3 RAWS and then a PPV = one month in my fed. But again, I wouldn't do this if I was actually playing the matches. Your idea sounds awesome, especially if you're keeping track of things just for your own enjoyment, but I do know that not many people will watch your fed if you're only taking one picture per match. So good luck to you with this...
