Love the layout. Simple and easy to read, but the write up wasn't very fun. It was always "he did this and it led to this other guy doing another thing." It's not very entertaining. Although, Hallowicked better do awesome.

I haven't really kept up with CHIKARA as of late, but bringing in Jacobs for the UNstable and also bringing in the RockNES Monsters (along with a few other of my favorite tag teams) makes me really interested in this diary. I want to see more of Jacobs in the UNstable though.

Really looking forward to KoT. Much better line-up than the actual one. Really hoping FIST, Incoherent Solar Temple and the Wolves do well and one of them end up winning it all together. And some Davey interaction with Eddie would be nice as well. Good luck and keep this up.

King of Trios! Night One! | April 15th 2011 | | Before the show officially gets underway, the entire roster makes their way to ringside and a 10 bell salute gets underway for Larry Sweeney who tragically passed away just days prior to the event. Following the last bell, a “Sweet n’ Sour” chant breaks out to which the wrestlers clap along with on the ring apron. Mike Quackenbush enters the ring with the young lions cup in his hand. He rather emotionally declares that the Young Lions Cup shell be renamed in Larry Sweeney’s honour and from now on be known as the Sweet n' Sour 12 Up Memorial Cup, with the same rules as it had before. Quackenbush asks for the reigning holder, Frightmare to enter the ring and he hands over the cup to which Frightmare bows before taking it. The two embrace and another Sweet n Sour chant breaks out. | | The Osirian Portal vs Blue World Order | The opening match of King of Trios 2011 kicks off the only way CHIKARA Pro knows how. With a dance off! Blue Meanie, and Amasis went at it in the dance battle of the decade for the opening five minutes before Stevie Richards took advantage of the situation by hitting the Stevie Kick on Amasis while he was getting his groove on. A short, yet fun opener to the show that the crowd were in to and came to an end when Ophidian made Hollywood Nova tap out to the death grip submission hold. Following the match, all six men shook hands, hugged and even did a dance for the crowd. Blue World Order gave their shirts to the Osirian Portal before leaving. | The Osirian Portal wins via submission after Hollywood Nova submits to the Death Grip by Ophidian. | | Da Soul Touchaz vs The Dark Army | Da Soul Touchaz got their usual big pop when they made their way down to the ring, the chikara crowd have always enjoyed the touring faction when they show up. The Batiri were accompanied down to the ring by their leader, Sinn Bohdi who was up to his usual weird antics. The match went at a fun pace where Da Soul Touchaz got to hit all their spots on the three members of the Dark Army. The finish to the match eventually arrived with “The Urban American Dream” Willie Richardson hitting the pounce on Kobald, sending the demon flying over the top rope. Sinn Bohdi would climb on to the apron and get chased off by Richardson would would allow The Batiri to hit their Back Stabber/Diving DDT combination on Marshe Rockett to pick up the victory. | The Dark Army wins via pinfall following the Backstabber/Diving DDT combination on Marshe Rockett. | | The Colony vs The Roughnecks | Mike Knox got a surprisingly nice reaction from the chikara crowd. Knox, Lee and Redwood dominated the early going of the match, but The Colony got the momentum back and eventually they were able to hit a cool spot where Fire Ant climbed on to the hands of Solider Ant and Green Ant who lunched him in to the air, over the ropes, crashing on top of the Roughnecks. The match continued and eventually came to an end with Green Ant in the middle of the ring with Brodie Lee and Mike Knox charging from opposite sides of the ring. Both men went for the big boot but Green Ant ducked and the two men kicked each other in the jaw, knocking each of them down to the canvas. This allowed Fire Ant & Solider Ant to hit the Ants go Marching on Grizzly Redwood to get the pinfall and pick up the victory. | The Colony win via pinfall following the Ants go Marching on Grizzly Redwood. | | F.I.S.T vs Kamikaze USA | Prior to the show, it was announced that Akira Tozawa had been injured and wouldn‘t be able to make the shot. This meant that CHIKARA were going to do the random name out of a hat gag and after several failed attempts that brought up Worker Ant, Hydra, and Private Eye, a name was called that made the crowd pop hard. The music hit and the crowd popped for the arrival and return of Gran Akuma to a CHIKARA ring. Akuma hasn’t been seen since being attacked by his former partners, Chuck Taylor & Icarus as the former F.I.S.T at last years Chikarasaurus Rex. The match was the longest of the night thus far and very entertaining with some great back n‘ forth action. Gran Akuma eventually picked up the victory for his team after hitting the Tenchi Crash on Icarus. | Kamikaze USA wins via pinfall after Gran Akuma connecting with Tenchi Crash on Icarus. | | Order of the Incoherent Solar Temple vs The Unstable | The crowd were heavily behind The Order of the Incoherent Solar Temple in this match and rightly so, with The Unstable being 3 of the most hated members of the CHIKARA Roster. The match lasted just over 12 minutes and was pretty basic for a CHIKARA match. Jimmy Jacobs tried to pick up the win for his team by locking in End Time on UltraMantis Black. This left Jacobs face exposed and Frightmare took full advantage of this, hitting Kneecolepsy, delivering the backflip double knees to the skull of Jacobs. Hallowicked took care of Vin Gerard & STIGMA as the current Sweet n’ Sour 12 Up Memorial cup holder, Frightmare, hooked the legs of Jimmy Jacobs to pick up the three count.
| Order of the Incoherent Solar Temple wins via pinfall following Kneecolepsy by Frightmare on Jimmy Jacobs. | | The American Wolves vs Team DDT | The crowd were really in to this match and, rightfully so as it was probably the match of the night. For around 18 minutes, these six men (ok, five really, Danshoku Dino just sort of stuck Kyle O’Reilly’s head in his trunks. He really took one for the team.) put together an instant classic that will be remembered for years to come. The finish to the match eventually arrived with Kenny Omega not only being slammed down to the canvas with the D.R. Driver, but also the Die Hard by Eddie Edwards and the Brainbuster by Kyle O’Reilly who hooked the leg to get the three count for his team. | The American Wolves win via pinfall following the DR Driver, Die Hand, & Brain Buster on Kenny Omega by all three members of American Wolves. |

Team So-Cal vs Team Michinoku Pro

Michinoku Pro got a huge pop as they made their way down to the ring for their first American match in probably many years. Nice handshake before the match officially got started by all men involved but as soon as the bell rang, it was all business and Michinoku Pro took So Cal to school. Yuma, and Goodtime eventually got the upper hand against Dick Togo, and Team So Cal quick tagged quite a bit, all three men working on Togo. Togo began to fight back and eventually got the hot tag to Great Sasuke who took on all three men then taunted to the crowd who popped big. The match eventually finished with Great Sasuke hitting the swanton bomb on Johnny Goodtime to pick up the victory.

Team Michinoku Pro wins via pinfall following the Swanton Bomb by Great Sasuke on Johnny Goodtime.

Team Minnesota vs Thunder & Lightning

The main event of night one had arrived and the crowd were torn right down the middle on who they wanted to advance in the tournament. 123 Kid and Jerry Lynn had their fair amount of supporters but the roof exploded when Jushin “thunder” Liger made his way down to the ring. The match was given a lot of time, nearing the 25 minute mark and had plenty of false finishes involving all six men. It looked to be over after Jerry Lynn dropped Quackenbush with a sick Cradle Piledriver but his partner, Jigsaw made the save and the match continued, a bit later in the match, Liger nearly won for his team when he hit the Running Liger Bomb on 123 Kid but Kid somehow managed to kick out at just the last second which got a big pop from the crowd. As the match was coming to an end, Liger, Lynn, Cannon & Jigsaw were all laid out on the outside of the ring following a suicide crash from Jerry Lynn. Inside the ring, 123 Kid had just hit the X-Factor on Mike Quackenbush and called to the top rope where he tried to ht the moonsault. Quackenbush rolled out of the way and as Kid’s chest hit the canvas hard, Quackenbush quickly locked in the Chikara Special and Kid had no choice but to tap out. Following the match, all six men hugged it out and shook hands, Quack even went as far as to bow down to the 123 Kid.

Thunder & Lightning win via submission following the Chikara Special by Mike Quackenbush on 123 Kid. Touching Sweeney tribute, not sure about comedy to kick off but I think its only kinda right since the emotional beginning, both good choices to go over in the first two matches, the pounce on the small guy sounded awesome, loving the teaming of Knox with the Roughnecks, the double big boot miss spot sounded good, glad the Colony went over, Gran Akuma back OMG! sucks that Tozawa wasn't there, I would have liked FIST to go far since I'm a fan of Gargano, happy that the Order went over esp with Frightmare getting the pin gotta love that little guy, loving the Wolves going through but that does lessen the chance of Davey/Kingston this weekend, the three finisher ending was very Richard-esq nicley booked, could have gone either way of the last but one match as I want to see how you book Generico and the RockNES over the rest of the weekend, loving the main event so epic and the respect shown to Kid. Sucks no promos but you can get away with it. Awesome show can't wait for the next night, good luck and keep this up.

- Liked the Sweeney tribute. Very well done.
- I like the fact that you have the comedy match right after the tribute. Gets everyone back in the mood. Would've preferred a BWO win but it wasn't expected.
- Not really familiar with either team so can't pass a judgement.
- Expected The Colony to win. I love the concept of the Roughnecks, though.
- WOW! Expected F.I.S.T. to take the win on that one.
- Not surprised Order of the Incoherent Solar Temple won.
- The Wolves winning is good. I see them going far.
- Was hoping that Team So-Cal was gonna win.
- Thunder & Lightning winning is good. I expect them to win the whole thing.
Overall, good show. Liked the tribute at the beginning and the rest of the show worked well. Can't wait to see Night 2!

King of Trios Night One
Your teams are already better then the ones in real life. Good. Nice tribute to start out the show. R.I.P. Sweet N' Sour. I'm happy you had The Osirian Portal go over the bWo. The Dark Army going over is better to me. Big fan of The Colony, I like that they went over. Woah, Gran Akuma! Awesome man! Nice to see them pick up the win. Order of the Incoherent Solar Temple is my third favorite time in this behind The Colony and Team So-Cal, happy to see them go over. Damn, poor Kyle. Good win for The American Wolves with the awesome finish. So disappointing to see Team So-Cal lose already. I agree with Dragon and I'd like to see how you use them. Great main event. Thunder & Lighting winning is fine and I love the show of respect afterward. Great show overall.

Loving that your bringing in both Sabre and Perkins two top young wrestlers who I hope impress. Lynn is abit of an odd choice but Sydal makes perfect sense due to his matches previously in Chikara. Knox/Kingston should be super hard hitting while Kid/Ibushi should be a fun spotfest. Keep this up.

Sorry that this has took so long, bro. I've gone back and read your past shows to get me up to "speed", so to speak. I'm really enjoying what you're doing especially with "King of Trios" as you put together some really good teams and backed it up with some great matches. Very enjoyable, keep it up. You also did a great job on the tribute to Sweeney, so bonus points for that.

Right first off I love the trios you have for the tournament. Fitting tribute to Sweeney to start the show I enjoyed the comedy match and I'm glad that the Portal went over, hope they win the whole Tournament Not particularly familiar with the Soul Touchaz or the Dark Army although from what I've seen of both of them I would have prefered the Soul Touchaz to win Glad the Colony went over the Roughnecks although I'd quite like to see a Grizzly Redwood get a push Akuma coming in for Kamikaze USA was a brilliant move although I was hoping for a F.I.S.T win I can see why it makes sense for Kamikaze USA to go through Jacobs in The Unstable makes me extremely happy. I look forward to seeing what you do with Jimmy in the group. Glad the Order of the Incoherent Solar Temple won here though The American Wolves going over is smart booking since they are a serious contender for the KOT crown. Team So-Cal are sensational and I'm glad you kept Team Michinoku in the tournament. Wish that Team So Cal had gone through although Michinoku are again a believable contender for the crown. Enjoyed the last match as a match between those two teams in real life would be sensational. Hope Thunder & Lightning go on to win the tournament

I'm not the particularly familiar with CHIKARA, but I have been reading this diary since it started and have enjoyed it. I like your KOT lineup better than what happened in real life and really hope you do a Dark Army vs. Incoherent Solar Temple finals, like what should've been done in real life. Like seeing Team DDT put on a great match, even though they lost. Can't wait to read the next show, as I'm curious to see what you do next, as any of these teams winning would be fine with me really.
