Back when Jeff Hardy was in WWE and was the most over person in the company and out popping Cena.
Why didnt WWE put Jeff back on Raw and send Cena down to smackdown seeing as you'd want to keep your top over guy on the A-show.

Because they didn't want to send both Hardys to RAW in the draft perhaps?

Cause hardy isn't reliable, and you can have the two top wrestlers on the A show

Because while Hardy was extremely popular, he was NEVER on the level that Cena has been in the last 5-6 years.

Jeff as the main star on Raw = me not watching Raw. I'd MUCH rather have Cena as the main guy than Hardy.

The main guy on the main show should be someone who can be the face of the company, and that should never be Jeff Hardy, despite how popular he may be. That's not to say he never should've been a main eventer on Raw at some point if he had stayed, but to swap him for Cena would be ridiculous.

Cena's the face of the company. Hardy was never nor would they ever give him that honor due to his track record.
thus #1 guy on your #1 show.

because cena was proven more reliable both professionally and in marketability.

People are obviously a little misinformed. Jeff Hardy outsold Cena in merch, WWE is a public company who releases almost all the numbers. Alot of you hate Meltzer, but he has those numbers. He reported several times that Hardy merch was WWE's top merch seller. Cena is over, no doubt, but he only has two real demographics of fans to sell too. Jeff sold to all of them.
That said, Hardy was never going to be the #1 guy. He isn't the workhorse Cena is.
