Well, on wwe.com they posted their own guys to watch in 2011. I'm making my list now, I'm not including Del Rio, Dolph, Barrett or Morrison, as they all are upper-mid carders and have had world title shots.
Drew McIntyre
I'm a huge fan of this guy, I still remember his original debut in 2006 with Dave Taylor, lasted two weeks, anyway. Clearly the WWE has something up their sleeves, if you watch Smackdown, you know that. From what the announcers are saying about him, to the Kelly Kelly storyline, to the feud with Barretta. I predict a breakthrough year for McIntyre, maybe a move to RAW with Mr. McMahon supporting him, putting him over as a huge top heel. I would love to see a Triple H vs McIntyre feud, if booked right.
Ezekiel Jackson
Part of Wade Barrett's new stable, and man what an impressive big guy he is. One of the best I think I've ever seen, he can put on a great match. He's shown he can get over whether a face or heel. The WWE definitely see's potential in him, last ECW champion, returning from injury after a very quiet month on Smackdown to joining RAW and defending the brand at Bragging Rights. I think he will be involved in a World Title match by the end of the year no doubt and "The Core" or whatever Wade's new stable is called will be HUGE stepping stone for Ezekiel.
Justin Gabriel
WWE's next top face superstar no doubt. Once being part of "The Core"/Nexus, Gabriel will be in a position much like John Morrisons'. Girl's already love him. His 450 splash will definently get him over, he was probably the best booked out of all the Nexus, even Barrett tbh, Wade got buried near the end. He was in matches with Orton & Cena. I can almost garantuee that he will be an Intercontinental Champion by the end of 2011, I hope WWE give him & Kofi a match, give them 20 minutes and MOTY candidate.
Ted Dibiase
Right now he is doing NOTHING, and is the definition of forgotten. But once it's draft time, he will almost definently get a move to Smackdown. And rebuild from there, I wouldn't be suprised to see him with a face turn, I think he could make it work. There is no way he will be let go any time soon, mainly due to his father and his name, but yeah.
Curt Hawkins
Well, I'm not sure if the WWE sure care a whole much about this guy. But I think they should let him prove him self, he puts on great matches on Superstars, he's matches with Barretta were some of the best of 2010, imo. Still young, I can see him being a great mid-carder in the future. I honestly think that him & Jericho would make a great alliance, both same style of attires, a much less lackey like alliance of Miz/Riley this could be, and could put Hawkins over tremendously if he isn't used as just a lackey.
Chris Masters
Ah the Masterpiece, how can WWE be so wrong about this guy. They push him when he was one of the worst in ring performers, and now that he has improved 10x and put on great matches and made anyone he's stepped in the ring with look decent. He's put on great matches with pretty much everyone his been in the ring with in 2010. He's got the look of a main eventer still only 27 years young and he is very over, especially considering the guys been on like 6 Smackdown's in the last 10 months. While guys who are featured every week are stilling trying to get over.
