Recently upgraded to a 50 inch 3D ready TV and have watched the odd football game and film in full 3D. Then it got me thinking about the prospect of Wrestlemania 27 being filmed and available to watch in 3D this year.
Has there been any news surrounding WWE and 3D?

I have a 3D tv too. I hope WM is broadcast in 3D... It would be awesome.

I don't think so just yet. Contrary to popular belief, not many people have 3D compatible TVs. WWE would have to make a decent amount to venture into the extremely expensive converting equipment to broadcast LIVE 3D. WWE has only been in HD for 2 years and 3D has just come on the market. In order to justify the the price point, you'd be paying a ton to upgrade. You figure WrestleMania is a $60 PPV, + $10 HD + $10+ 3D (although I'd imagine it would be even more).

There was talk of it being broadcast to theaters in 3D, but not over regular PPV. Or last thing I read about it said that.

Same here. This whole 3D fad has more than ran its course as far as I'm concerned.

Very few people have 3d especially with the current economy so it won't happen yet. 3D divas would be fun however!

No.
If it does I'll never EVER watch another WWE show on TV.

Maybe they'll have a special occasion here and there but not permanently. I'm beyond sick of seeing/hearing every movie come out in 3D.

No. If it does I'll never EVER watch another WWE show on TV. Why? You would have the option of watching it in both standard edition and 3D.

Anyway, I hope they don't go 3D. I only liked it on occasion, but since they're milking the 3D fad on a lot of things, I hope WWE doesn't go 3D.

I dont see the fascination about 3D tv. I saw a demo. once in a store. It was kind of cool. But wearing the glasses got annoying after about 5 minutes. And I dont generally just watch tv. I'll be doing other things, the glasses would just hinder it.
Plus I heard, not sure if true, but you can only have the glasses on for like 2 hours or 3 hours....something like that, as recommended use.

Same here. This whole 3D fad has more than ran its course as far as I'm concerned. I was more than happy for jackass 3D toy story and a couple others were extra's, WM would be the only next thing id want, not for wwe/current product, but wrestling as a whole medium being presented in a new way, live is aweome, dvd/vhs/youtube cool, but cinema let-a-lone 3D cinema would be awesome

...No. 3D is just, so stupid. I don't see the point in it at all.

I'm honestly surprised that people are still writing off 3D as a fad, or phase. The 90's 3D stuff was a fad, 3D now; is here to stay. It'll be around a long, long time.
