Congrats, I'm glad Mattel is slowly winning you over. You picked a great group of Legends to start with.
But I'm on board with PJ & Punksnotdead cause while I buy both, I too prefer the basic torsos. The less joints make the figures look more realistic and plus they stand better. But I still end up buying a lot of Elite just for their accessories.
Don't get me wrong, I still collect the Legends who I grew up idolizing. And the Legends 5 Savage is a must own for any fan of 80's wrestling.

Ya know, I despise the Mattel knee pads (especially the huge ones) but I never thought about Jakks elbow pads. I might finally have a use for that box full of elbow pads haha. If you're after accuracy though, the best reference I can give you for Snuka's outfit was the 92 Royal Rumble (flip to around 4:09) He didn't wear knee pads with his long tights, unless there are other reference pics. While the video is grainy...He is wearing kneepads they are just striped like the tights. (4:32-4:36 is the best view of them) Plus if this is the event they were going for besides striped knee pads he'd also need multi-colored boots. The back of his boots had various colored triangles running up them. Also growing up I remember him occasionally wearing long tights with pads & boots on some of the MSG cards they used to air monthly on the MSG network back in the 70's -80's. But here's a RR Snuka I was working on, but after 8 tries (none of which I liked) on the multi-colored triangles that ran up the back of his boots I think I'll keep it as is now - I might still paint the laces & soles of the boots white, but I need more white paint. There should be four triangles running up the back of the boots (from the bottom to the top - Green, red, ? , blue) And his knee pads should be tiger print as well, but if I painted them that would just flake off a Jakks pad...so there's no point in painting them.

did you get them cheaper without accessories? those are all great figures though to be honest. each has their positives & negatives...but the good outweighs the bad I got all the accessories with them I just took them off and put them in a zip lock bag when I took the pictures. I bought the Funk a couple weeks ago. Everything else I got for $65 out the door. Lil over $10 per figure so I def would recommend Kmart's sale if you're looking to make a purchase.

Wow, after watching the video of the 92 Rumble it seems to be the main inspiration for the attires Mattel picked. They must have this video on repeat!

Not to sound like a dick but outside of Snuka and Roberts, who all were the same? Slaughter, Von Erich, Martel, Savage were the only other ones off the top of my head that were in the 92 rumble that have figures made and none of them are in their Rumble attire.

Also Martel is coming, Nikolai Volkoff, Piper, and The Bushwakers were on the card. So that makes 9 figures from the 92 Rumble PPV.

To be fair Taker's gloves were different than his EG figure. (He had his traditional grey at the RR, but the EG had the black gloves he wore at his SS debute)And let's face it Hacksaw and Piper almost always wore blue while in the WWF. The same with Volkoff wearing red.

Duggan wore black trunks when he won the first Rumble. I agree with you Piper and Volkoff always wore those attires. We have 9 figures in their respective attires from this PPV, I just think that's interesting and and worth pointing out.

I'm in the same boat with you G2. I wasn't a fan of mattel figures when they first came out and I didn't want to restart another collection on top of my ra, cs, and csda figures. But when I saw the legends 1 steamboat and DM macho man, I changed my mind.
Great pickups btw.
