Had the great honor to sit on commentary with CZW legend Adam Flash. First time meeting him, let alone working with him. Fun time. Has some great old school CZW stories to tell.
He mentioned that he has an injury with his back and that in the near future he should be rehabbed and ready to go. Good to hear Flash will be making a return to the ring this year.

Is there a point to this thread? I doubt many people care about Adam Flash, let alone the fact that you 'worked' with him.

I have no problem with the thread and admire CM for being able to work with people in the business. However, can CZW and Legend be used in the same sentence.  |

It is and always will be garbage wrestling IMO. c'mon dude, don't be small minded. czw is such an important part of indy wrestling. yeah, it's bloody, but it's and indy staple (no pun intended). not to mention czw has/had superb wrestlers. el generico, super dragon, chris hero, claudio and quack say hi. |

Maybe it was a bit of an over-exaggeration. I understand they have been slowly moving away from the hardcore stuff and trying to reinvent themselves as a more 'legitimate' wrestling promotion over the years.
There's no disputing that CZW has had some great talent and still does (i.e. Adam Cole, Drew Gulak, Jon Moxley), but ultraviolent wrestling is what the promotion is/has been renown for, and hence why I have never gotten into it.
I've never understood the appeal. Personally, I find it disgusting and disturbing.

I'm sorry if the way I typed that out made it sound like there was doubt. Flash has no doubt he will be working again. And will be very shortly, as in before the summer ends. As far as your opinion of CZW.....I agree with you. I find it to be an abortion of pro wrestling these days. But it wasnt always. Late 90s and early 2000s proved that. They even have a semi resurgence during their partnership with Chikara. But those days are over and CZW hasnt been able and I doubt they ever will recapture that glory. Guys like Mondo, Wifebeater, Messiah captured me as a fan. Combine them with Gage, Justice Pain, Flash, Zandig, etc. and you had a receipe for greatness in ROH. Besides, not everything at all times was death match wrestling. CZW was also known for one hell of a torunament called Best of The Best and has provided some great matches. When I got the arena and was told Flash was on commentary with me, I thought I was being ribbed. Then saw Rockn Rebel come in and then Flash. It was a true treat. Any time you get to work with someone that you have admired their work...its a treat. I've only been working as a commentator for a year. I'd love to make a true career of it. But I am enjoying just working my way up. Well, CZW has never really been my cup of tea, but regardless, that's interesting. Which promotion were you doing commentary for? Its a promotion called SWO...Susquehanna Wrestling Organization. They are located in the York/Lancaster, PA area. They have a local tv deal, which is cool to be able to put on the resume that I have experience working tv tapings. I have met some AWESOME people in the business in my limited time. I have some new ventures coming up this year, keeping my fingers crossed. |
