Anyone know the reason why Hasbro decided to put three stars on the released figure of Kamala, instead of 2 stars and a moon like he always wore?

The original prototype had the correct moon and stars, and production samples were made for approval. Upon inspection, one of the Hasbro execs realized that the two stars and crescent moon is a muslim symbol and, not wanting to potentially invite all sorts of problems, requested it be changed.

I was just thinking about this the other day, how odd someone brought it up. Thanks!

lol I expected something completely different when I opened this post. Anyway ... aren't there two versions of Kamala's Hasbro figure? Only the 3 stars version got out to the public for sale. There were, I believe, 7 packaged pre-production samples that went out for approval to Hasbro executives. Several of those pre-production samples have supposedly been found and sold at insanely high prices. Only the ones that came directly from former Hasbro employees can be verified as the real deal though, because it's very easy to fake one. I remember at one point there were about ten of them on ebay at or near the same time. Most of them admitted to being "customs", but some claimed to be the real thing. If "Hasbromaniac" still posts here, he's the expert and could fill in the actual details a lot better than I can.
