King: That is going to be a battle of monsters I can assure you.
J.R.: We also have a qualifying match for the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania as the Miz takes on John Cena. Gene: Ladies and gentlemen would you please welcome the Immortal Hulk Hogan!
“Real American” plays as Hulk Hogan heads to the ring.
Gene: Hulk Hogan, last week you competed in the Six Pack Challenge to determine who would challenge Kurt Angle for the World Championship at WrestleMania. During that encounter and for the past several weeks it seems you have had a few run-ins with Goldberg. What are your thoughts?
Hogan: Well you know something Mean Gene. Hulk Hogan is all about getting back to the top and headlining WrestleMania would have been the dream brother. I know Goldberg would like nothing better than to have that opportunity as well. The problem is, it seems that these run-ins are getting too be a little too coincidental for my taste. I don’t have any ill will towards Goldberg, but if he has a problem with me then he should just come right out and say so.
Goldberg heads down to the ring.
J.R.: Well here comes Goldberg. Maybe we will find out what his intentions are as it relates to Hulk Hogan.
Goldberg: Hulkster, I came out here to clear the air. First off I have nothing but respect for you. I admire your career and the success that you’ve had. I absolutely would love to headline WrestleMania. What Superstar wouldn’t?
Kurt Angle’s music hits and he comes out with Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas.
J.R.: Business is picking up here on Monday Night Raw as the World Heavyweight Champion and the World Tag Team Champions make their way towards the ring.
Angle: Are you kidding me? Does anyone care about this? I am Kurt Angle, the World Heavyweight Champion. I am headlining WrestleMania. That is what you should be talking about.
Gene: Well Kurt Angle as long as you are out here, let’s talk about the fact that you will be defending that title at WrestleMania against Ken Shamrock.
Angle: Everyone seems to think that I am afraid of Ken Shamrock. I certainly am not. I am an Olympic gold medalist. I am going to show Shamrock and the rest of the world just how much better I am come WrestleMania. As for you two, just to show that I am the Champion that I say I am, I will give one of you two a shot at my World Heavyweight Championship tonight!
J.R.: Wow that is a blockbuster announcement coming from Kurt Angle.
King: Yeah, but can Hulk Hogan and Goldberg agree on who is going to get the opportunity?
Goldberg: Kurt, I think you should put the title on the line tonight against… Hulk Hogan! Hulk take this title match. I want you to know just how much I respect you by stepping aside.
Hogan: Goldberg, you’ve got my respect brother. Kurt Angle I’ll take you up on your title match brother. So whatcha gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild on you and becomes the new World Heavyweight Champion!
J.R.: Angle vs. Hogan for the gold tonight on Raw!
Booker T. and Sharmell are shown heading down the hallway.
J.R.: The United States Champion Booker T. is in action next!

NON-TITLE MATCH
BOOKER T. © VS. COLIN DELANEY
J.R.: Welcome back to Monday Night Raw. The United States Champion Booker T. is ready for action here against the young Colin Delaney. Delaney, the rookie debuted on Raw a number of weeks ago and despite his efforts, has come up short on every outing.
King: This man shows a lot of guts and determination, but hasn’t picked up a win yet J.R.
J.R.: Delaney is gaining a lot of experience having already competed against the likes of Triple H and Batista.
Booker T. locks up with Delaney. Booker quickly pounds down on Delaney. He hammers him down to the mat. Booker pushes Delaney into the corner and rams him into the turnbuckle. Booker chops away at Delaney and then whips him across the ring and follows through with a big clothesline.
[i]J.R.: Booker T. showing his dominance here right from the get go. Booker T. of course is a tremendous competitor, although he seems to be dodging Rey Mysterio at every turn.
Booker T. kicks Delaney and plants him with a side slam. Booker plants a knee and makes the cover, but Delaney kicks out. Booker T. delivers a suplex and then connects with two body slams. Booker drops an elbow and gets another near fall.
King: Booker T. is just playing with Delaney here. Delaney may have a lot of heart J.R., but I am pretty sure Booker T. can put him away anytime he wants. Delaney may want to look for a new profession.
Booker T. stomps on Colin and then sends him in. Booker connects with a dropkick as Sharmell looks on from ringside. Booker sends Colin in again. Colin slides under and nails Booker with a dropkick. He hit’s a second one which backs Booker into the ropes. Delaney leaps up and hooks a victory roll and gets a two count.
J.R.: Oh my what an upset that would have been. Delaney finally catches Booker T. and now let’s see if he can take advantage of this situation.
Booker T. nails Delaney with a heel kick. Booker goes for the Book End, but Delaney elbows out. Delaney nails Booker with an enzugiri. Delaney goes for the top rope.
J.R.: This could be the opening Delaney finally needs.
Colin flies off the top with a cross body, but Booker rolls through lifting up Delaney and planting him with the Book End.
King: Thanks for coming Colin.
Booker picks Delaney up again and gives him a second Book End.
J.R.: Now Booker T. is just punishing this young man. He doesn’t need to do this. Just cover him and take the win.
Booker lifts Colin one more time and gives him yet another Book End. The referee starts yelling at Booker T.
J.R.: This is totally uncalled for. Booker T. has this match won.
Sharmell gets up on the apron and she starts yelling at the referee. The referee starts arguing with her. Meanwhile Booker sets Delaney up once again. Rey Mysterio runs down to the ring. He hit’s the West Coast Pop on Booker T. Booker gets up and Delaney pushes Booker into the ring post. Rey hit’s the 619 around the ring post knocking Booker back to the mat and Delaney makes the cover. The referee gets free of Sharmell and counts to three.
J.R.: Delaney wins! Delaney wins! Delaney wins! Do you believe in miracles? Colin Delaney gets his very first victory here in the WWE!
King: You have to give a big assist to Rey Mysterio who really stuck it to Booker T. here.
J.R.: Booker T. should have taken the victory when he had the chance and no he’s paying for it. As Booker T. comes to grips with what just happened, let’s send you over to Mean Gene Okerlund.
Gene: Please welcome my guest at this time, the Miz. Miz, tonight you go one-on-one with John Cena with the winner advancing to the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania. This has to be a big night for you.
Miz: Gene, everyone here in the WWE and everyone watching has to realize by now that I’m the real deal. I’ve only just begun my career and I already nearly won the Royal Rumble on my first outing. I already hold a victory over the almighty Goldberg. I’ve already competed in a six pack challenge for a main event spot at WrestleMania. I may not have won that opportunity, but with only weeks under my belt I know that my destiny is to compete at Madison Square Garden on the grandest stage of them all. So tonight I am going to beat John Cena. Then I will take my rightful place at WrestleMania and I will climb that ladder, grab the contract and you are looking at a soon-to-be WWE Champion! You know why that is Mean Gene?
Gene: Why?
Miz: Because I’m the Miz… and I’m… Awesome!!!
J.R.: The Miz and Cena still to come here tonight, but next two monsters battle it out as Batista faces Kane. It’s live on Raw next!
-Commercial Break-
BATISTA VS. KANE
The two men fire away at each other. Kane pounds on Batista and goes to the ropes, but Batista nails him. Batista punches away at Kane and goes to the ropes. Kane meets him with a big boot, but misses an elbow drop. Batista pounds on Kane and then clotheslines him.
J.R.: These two behemoths are not holding back. You may not see any dropkicks or head scissors in this contest, but you will see a lot of thunderous blows.
King: Batista may have more ill will towards Kane being the Undertaker’s brother.
J.R.: Batista will finally go one-on-one with the Undertaker at WrestleMania. It will be the first time we’ve seen the Phenom since the Buried Alive match back in October. Kane will take on Muhammad Hassan also at WrestleMania.
Batista knees Kane and rams him into the corner. Batista drills Kane with his shoulder and then whips him across. Batista follows in, but Kane moves. Kane delivers a back suplex and then pounds away. Kane delivers uppercuts and then sends Batista for the ride. Batista reverses, but lowers his head and Kane hit’s a DDT. Kane clotheslines Batista into the corner and then plants him with a power slam. Kane goes up top. He comes off with the big clothesline. Kane goes for the choke slam, but Batista elbows out. Batista nails Kane with a boot and then connects with a neck breaker for a near fall. Batista chokes Kane on the ropes and then snaps him back. Batista follows up with elbows and then goes for a suplex, but Kane blocks it. Kane delivers his own suplex. Kane then sends Batista in. Kane connects with a side slam for a near fall. Kane punches Batista and comes off the ropes, but Batista catches him with a spine buster.
J.R.: What a spine buster from the Animal as he drills the Big Red Machine with that maneuver.
Batista goes for the Batista Bomb, but Kane turns him over dumping him out of the ring. Batista pulls Kane out. He rams Kane into the ring steps. Batista then gets rammed to the announce table. The referee counts both men out. An explosive thunder sound goes off in the arena with flashing lights and Batista decides to head to the back.
J.R.: Batista doesn’t like the supernatural elements here that could be a sign from the Undertaker. Meanwhile both men have been counted out of the ring.
Muhammad Hassan comes out from the crowd and blasts Kane with a chair before taking off.
J.R.: Hassan strikes the Big Red Monster as he tries to build momentum for himself heading into WrestleMania.
A limousine pulls up and out steps the Nature Boy Ric Flair.
J.R.: The sixteen time World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair is here. Will Flair accept Chris Jericho’s challenge? We’ll find out tonight. But up next it’s the Miz taking on John Cena. One of these men will advance to the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania. We’ll find that out next!
-Commercial Break-
J.R.: Welcome back to Monday Night Raw. Still to come tonight the Immortal Hulk Hogan challenges Kurt Angle for the World Heavyweight Championship and we will hear from the Nature Boy Ric Flair. Right now however we are about to determine another participant for the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania.
MONEY IN THE BANK QUALIFYING MATCH
JOHN CENA VS. THE MIZ[/u]
Miz and Cena lock up. Cena takes the Miz over. Miz is up and nails Cena. He sends him in, but Cena holds on and takes Miz back to the mat once more. Miz gets back to his feet and sends Cena in. Cena knocks Miz down and goes to the ropes. Miz leaps over and goes for a hiplock, but Cena reverses it. John Cena delivers a back drop and then clotheslines the Miz out over the top. Miz gets up on the apron. He slides in under Cena. Cena kicks the Miz and pounds on him. He sends him in, but Miz reverses. Cena hit’s a big tackle and then another. Cena comes flying off the ropes with a cross body, but the Miz ducks. The Miz capitalizes with a back breaker into a neck breaker and gets a near fall.
J.R.: John Cena started off here as the dominant one in this contest, but now the Miz has taken control. Only one of these two men can compete in Money in the Bank.
King: That is going to be an exciting match for WrestleMania. We already know that CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, John Bradshaw Layfield, and the Dynamite Kid have qualified.
The Miz drops a leg and then plants a knee. Miz works over Cena and then delivers a DDT for a two count. The Miz rams Cena to the corner. He whips him in, but Cena gets up a boot and then delivers a bulldog to Miz. Cena connects with the Five Knuckle Shuffle and goes for the Attitude Adjustment, but the Miz slips out and goes for the Skull Crushing Finale, but Cena elbows out and then delivers a spinning side slam.
J.R.: Remember the Miz has only been competing here in the WWE for a number of weeks and has already made a huge impact with his tremendous showing in the Royal Rumble match as well as having competed in the Six Pack Challenge last week. You may not agree with his brash and egotistical ways, but the Miz is making a name for himself. The question now remains can he make it to WrestleMania?
Cena goes up top. Cena comes off with the big leg drop and makes the cover, but the Miz kicks out. Cena delivers a suplex and then a side slam for a near fall. Cena sends Miz in. He nails him with a clothesline. He delivers another and sends Miz to the corner. Miz connects with an elbow. Miz comes out of the corner, but Cena takes him down and goes to apply the STF, but Miz makes it to the ropes and rolls out. Cena follows him. Cena chases Miz around the ring and then back in. Miz stomps on Cena. The Miz sends Cena in. Miz connects with a clothesline and then hangs Cena up on the rope and then plants him with a neck breaker. Miz makes the cover, but Cena kicks out. Miz catches Cena with a boot. Miz then sling shots Cena under the bottom rope and then snap mares him over and kicks him in the face. The Miz goes to the top rope. He comes off, but Cena catches him and sets him up for the Attitude Adjustment, but the Miz hooks the top rope. Cena tries to pull him away and Miz’s feet kick the referee. Miz slips out. Triple H makes his way to the ring.
King: Uh oh here comes the Game! Triple H does not look to be a happy camper.
The Game hit’s the ring and clotheslines Cena. Triple H hooks him with the Pedigree and then takes off to the back. The Miz rolls back into the ring and checks on the referee. The Miz hooks Cena with the Skull Crushing Finale. Miz makes the cover. Cena stays down for three.
J.R.: Can you believe this? The Miz has done it. The Miz has just secured himself a slot in the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania. Regardless of what just went down with Triple H, the Miz is going to WrestleMania!
King: The Miz may have secured his spot, but I wouldn’t want to be the Miz or Triple H once John Cena regroups.
Booker T. enters Eric Bischoff’s office and starts yelling at him.
Booker: Did you see what happened out there? I want Rey Mysterio fired. This man does not deserve to be here. He should be locked up in prison.
Bischoff: Booker T. calm down. There won’t be any firing of Rey Mysterio nor will he be going to prison. If you want to prove to Rey that he isn’t in your league then you’ll have your chance. Booker T. you will defend your United States Championship against Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania. Now please get out of my office.

WWE Rewind: Footage shows Stone Cold Steve Austin stunning new announcer Matt Striker last week on Raw.
J.R.: We are back here on Monday Night Raw. Before the break we found out from Eric Bischoff that Booker T. will finally have to defend his United States Championship against Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania. That is going to be a huge addition to the already stellar line up taking place at Madison Square Garden. Right now however the Texas Rattlesnake is about to go one-on-one with Matt Striker.
King: I wouldn’t normally feel to bad for any competitor having to face Steve Austin, but Striker was sort of caught off guard last week. He was conducting an interview with Mr. Kennedy and Striker just got in the way and was the recipient of a Stone Cold Stunner.
J.R.: Striker did bring it upon himself to take this match however as he was the one who challenged Austin and that is his own doing.
STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN VS. MATT STRIKER
Austin and Striker lock up. Striker pushes Austin back into the corner. Austin turns Striker around and starts hammering away. Austin pounds on Striker and then stomps on him. Austin kicks Matt Striker and then delivers a suplex. Austin drills Striker with a forearm and then pounds on him and runs him into the turnbuckle. Austin sends Striker for the ride. Striker ducks under, but gets caught by a Thesz Press. Austin pounds on Striker. He delivers a hot shot and then gives Striker the Stone Cold Stunner. Austin makes the cover and gets the victory.
J.R.: The Texas Rattlesnake makes it quick and decisive over Matt Striker as he prepares to face Mr. Kennedy at WrestleMania.
Matt Striker gets to his feet. He goes to attack Austin, but he gets another Stunner. Mr. Kennedy comes out on the stage and gets a microphone.
Kennedy: Hailing from Green Bay, Wisconsin…
Steve Austin gets his own microphone and cuts off Kennedy.
Austin: You better forget about where your from son, it’s where you’re going that it’s important. Where you’re going is to WrestleMania to get your ass whopped and that’s the bottom line cause Stone Cold said so!
Matt Striker is back up again and charges Austin, but he sends Striker sailing over the top to the floor.
J.R.: This has not been a good night for Matt Striker. But coming up next the Nature Boy Ric Flair will join us and we’ll find out if he accepts Chris Jericho’s challenge to face him at WrestleMania. Don’t go away!

WrestleMania XX - 26 Days Away!!!
“Woooooooooo….” Ric Flair’s music plays as the Nature Boy heads to the ring.
J.R.: Here comes the sixteen time World Heavyweight Champion and arguably one of the greatest, if not the greatest men to ever lace up a pair of boots.
Flair: Chris Jericho I know you are listening intently as to what I am about to say. You seem to have it in your head that I am to blame for whatever shortcomings you may have. You blame me for losing your shot at the World Title. Chris it’s time to look in the mirror and stop making excuses. Chris you are a tremendous competitor. I do believe that you are capable of being a World Champion. Because Chris when you walk that aisle you have to have something in you that is pushing you to that ring to compete and be the best in the world. Chris if you need to prove to the world or to yourself that you can take on the Nature Boy and be victorious then by all means Chris I will see you at WrestleMania. Wooooooooooo!“
Break the walls down…” Chris Jericho heads to the ring. Jericho grabs the microphone from Flair.
Jericho: …..
Flair nails Jericho before he can speak. Flair chops away at Jericho. Jericho hit’s the mat and then rolls out of the ring. Jericho jumps back into the ring and goes after Flair. Flair fights back. Flair yanks out a little of Jericho’s hair in the brawl. Jericho rolls away and as Flair stands in the ring.
J.R.: Flair and Jericho will face off at WrestleMania and Jericho just got a little bit of a trim off those rock star like locks thanks to the Nature Boy.
King: Flair and Jericho is going to be an amazing contest come WrestleMania. We also found out earlier tonight that Booker T. defends the U.S. Title against Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania. Will Booker T. be able to escape from the 619 or will Rey dial it up and take home the title?
J.R.: Mr. Kennedy steps up to the plate at WrestleMania when he faces Stone Cold Steve Austin. Will Kennedy secure his place in history or will Austin open a can of whoop-ass on the Green Bay native.
King: From Smackdown the Intercontinental Title will be on the line as Christian faces Matt Hardy and MVP in a triple threat match. The odds are in favor of a new Champion being crowned unless Captain Charisma has his way.
J.R.: The Big Red Machine Kane will face Muhammad Hassan. Hassan took the mask from Kane back at Summer Slam and actually put Kane on the shelf for a number of months. Now Kane has his opportunity to extract some revenge.
King: The WWE Women’s Championship will also be up for grabs as Victoria defends against Trish Stratus. This will be the very first ever Diva’s falls count anywhere match and it only happens at WrestleMania.
J.R.: In a huge grudge match we will see the return of the Phenom the Undertaker as he does battle with the Animal Batista. Batista buried the Undertaker alive back in October and now Paul Bearer has promised that the Dead Man will make Batista pay.
King: Eight superstars will compete in the Money in the Bank ladder match. The winner will earn a guaranteed title opportunity at the champion of their choosing for up to one year. Already qualified for the match are CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, John Bradshaw Layfield, the Dynamite Kid, and the Miz. Three slots remain for this prestigious opportunity.
J.R.: In another huge grudge match we will see the seven foot Big Show take on Brock Lesnar. These two men were WWE Tag Team Champions, but their partnership has imploded and now it will be the battle of the behemoths at WrestleMania.
King: The ECW Championship will also be decided at WrestleMania. Currently the two contenders are being determined over on ECW and those two men will face off to determine who will be crowned ECW Champion on the grandest stage of them all.
J.R.: The WWE Championship will be on the line when Bret “Hit Man” Hart defends against fellow Canadian the Rated R Superstar Edge. Edge won the Royal Rumble for the right to main event WrestleMania. Will Edge become a two time WWE Champion or will the Hit Man excellently execute the competition?
King: Plus the World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line as Kurt Angle faces off against Ken Shamrock. Shamrock shocked the world by returning to the WWE and earning his spot by winning the six pack challenge and now Shamrock vows to become champion by making the Olympic gold medalist tap out at WrestleMania.
J.R.: What a night it is going to be on Sunday March 14 from Madison Square Garden in New York. It’s WrestleMania. It only happens once a year. The question now remains will Kurt Angle still be World Champion going into WrestleMania? He puts his title on the line against Hulk Hogan in our main event next!-
Commercial Break-
WWE Slam of the Week: Ken Shamrock becomes number one contender to the World Title winning a six pack challenge last week on Raw.
WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
KURT ANGLE © VS. HULK HOGAN[/u]
Ken Shamrock comes out and takes a seat at ringside, but not with the announcers. Angle and Hogan lock up. Angle gets behind, but Hogan elbows him. Hogan punches Angle and sends him in. Hogan nails Angle again. Hogan hammers Angle and then clotheslines him out of the ring, but Angle lands on the apron.
J.R.: You are watching Monday Night Raw and this is our main event for the World Heavyweight Championship as Kurt Angle defends against Hulk Hogan.
King: Ken Shamrock is certainly watching this match closely as you can see the intense look on his face.
Hogan nails Angle and then suplexes him back into the ring. Hogan drops an elbow, but only gets a one count. Hogan pounds away. Angle kicks Hogan’s leg. Angle kicks him again and then hit’s a belly to belly suplex. Angle drills Hogan with forearm shots and uppercuts. Angle then connects with an over head suplex and gets a near fall.
J.R.: Kurt Angle has taken control here and Angle does not want to end up without a ticket to WrestleMania.
King: If he loses J.R. a ticket is the only thing that will get him to WrestleMania, because he will be out of the title picture.
Angle nails Hogan with clubbing blows to the back and goes for a German suplex, but Hogan hooks the ropes. Angle makes a clean break, but then nails Hogan again and delivers a back suplex. Angle pounds on Hogan and goes for the Angle Slam, but Hogan knees him and then clotheslines him into the turnbuckle. Hogan whips Angle across. Hogan follows in, but Angle dropkicks him in the knee. Angle slams Hogan and then goes up to the top. Angle comes off with a moonsault, but Hogan rolls out of the way.
J.R.: A high risk maneuver by the World Champion misses its mark and now let’s see if Hogan can get back in this.
Hogan starts back to his feet. Angle gets up as well. Hogan pounds on Angle. He sends him in and connects with a clothesline. Hogan nails Angle with two more clotheslines and then rams him into the corner. Hogan climbs up and punches away. Hogan slams Angle and then connects with three elbows. Hogan steps on Angle’s face and then gives him an atomic drop and levels him with a big right hand.
King: Wow the atomic drop! That’s a classic.
Hogan sends Angle for the ride. He goes for the big boot, but Angle catches his foot and then tries to turn him into the ankle lock. Hogan kicks him off. Hogan and Angle collide with a double clothesline. Hogan pulls himself up in the corner. Angle charges in, but gets posted. Hogan rolls him up for a near fall. Hogan pounds on Angle. He goes for another big shot, but Angle ducks and hit’s a German suplex. Angle delivers a second one and then a third one. Angle goes back to the top rope. He connects with the moonsault this time and gets a near fall.
J.R.: That was really close. I thought Angle had this one.
Angle pounds on Hogan. He continues pounding, but Hogan gets to his feet. Hogan shakes him off and points his finger at Hogan and then hammers him. Hogan sends Angle in and nails him with the big boot.
King: You know what that means. I think we are about to see a new World Heavyweight Champion crowned.
Hogan is about to go for the leg drop, but sees Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin heading towards the ring. Angle comes up from behind and delivers the Angle Slam. Angle makes the cover, but Hogan kicks out. Angle works over Hogan. He goes for a suplex, but Hogan blocks it. Hogan delivers a DDT to Angle. Haas and Benjamin try to get involved, but Hogan nails them off the apron. Goldberg runs out and he spears Haas on the floor. Goldberg then takes out Benjamin.
J.R.: The World’s Tag Team Champions have just been speared!
The referee tries to get control as he tries to get Goldberg to leave the ringside area. In the ring Angle has Hogan in the ankle lock. Hogan taps, but the referee is out of position.
J.R.: Hogan is tapping, but all of this mayhem at ringside has caused the official to be unaware of what is going on inside the ring.
Charlie Haas grabs the World Title belt from near the announcers table, but Ken Shamrock blocks him from doing anything. Goldberg is now on the apron and Angle tries to get him down. Hogan charges in, but Angle moves. Hogan nearly nails Goldberg, but stops. Angle pushes Hogan into Goldberg and then plants him with the Angle Slam and gets the three count.
J.R.: Kurt Angle has retained the World Heavyweight Title here after numerous distractions from the outside with his Haas, Benjamin, and Goldberg. Now Angle can officially be headed to WrestleMania to defend his title against Ken Shamrock who is currently staring a hole through Angle. Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for joining us. Good night everyone!
