Damn, that sucks. I used to be a regular reader of both, and could easily get back into them every time I stopped reading for a while.
I wonder if they're going to offer some kind of monthly e-zine or something?

Unfortunately we are gonna start seeing this more and more. Print publications are a dying breed. The good'ol internet strikes again.

...wow, this sucks. I have every issue of Toyfare - since the original two specials. I did think there had been a drop in quality recently (ie. getting rid of the Price Guide), but still... I'd always prefer a printed/paper magazine than an online one.
Wizard and Toyfare have always been #1 and #2 in the Magazines sections of Previews catalogue too...

this is happening more and more with comic series themselves as well. i recently became engaged in the series the exterminators by simon oliver. it was a vertigo series and had a really interesting story developing, nevermind that it was doing incredibly well in terms of internet comic fan reviews. however, due to declining rates in sales the series had to be cut short at issue #30, 20 issues short of it's original #50 issue expectance.
the comic continued to do extremely well, apparently through torrents. oliver has stated that although he likes people having those capabilities, he doesn't like being short on cash at the expense of them. i can't blame him.
