I am in the hasbro business since 2000 and i Never seen an error card sold for 10usd. In my opinion 600 usd is a fair price for this kind of error...probably 1 of a kind! I think kev wont lose a pound if he will try to sell it in future and I can assure you if i wouldnt have to spend some extra cash to finish my new house the final price would have been even higher than 600usd! 2/3 people really involved in this kind of items can make the differents in the entire hasbro market!
I've seen Error Hasbros go for $10-$20 a fair few times back in the days of Auction Universe (before ebay took them over/bought them out in the 90's) I remember seeing Mailaway Hogans for $20-$25 a pop then too.
So how many of you remember Auction Universe then ? Show of hands..
ps: I'm 28 years old - just in case ya all thought I were in my 50's LOL.
I, too, remember Auction Universe! Mail aways for $25 takes me back! Remember when only Hogan went for that and the others were cheaper? You couldn't give Mail-Away Taker away at one point! As for 1-2-3 Kid, I received him as a gift in 1995. I think my parents paid $50 then! My comments were nothing against Kev at all. I just remember when pieces like this were not in demand at all. I've seen tons and tons of error cards throughout my collecting and travels and they almost never sell for as much as their regular counterparts. I think that Hart and Taker have a lot to do with it, as much as two motivated bidders do. I'm going to go scour flea markets and hobby shops now for errors like this one for my
