A Florida judge has just ruled that the whole health care law is unconstitutional. Not just part of it, the whole damn thing. The argument was the forcing someone to buy it was illegal but the judge went further and struck down the whole law instead of just that part of it. Of course this will be appealed and go to the Supreme Court eventually. news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110131/ap_on_bi_ge/us_health_overhaulAs the article states some judges have ruled in favor of the law and others have ruled against. I really don't see though how all those states could sue in Florida though.

I'm waiting to see this get tossed out completely. Forcing people to buy a product is BS.

Constitutional scholars are saying this judge ruled wrong and the Supreme Court will uphold the law.
14 judges either upheld the law or decided not to even hear about it.
Also, the AGs who filed suit picked this place to file suit because it is one of the most conservative courts in Florida.

Whoever ruled this law constitutional doesn't understand the principals of freedom.

Personally, I think we should fix the problem of people being homeless by forcing everyone to buy a house.

I think I would solve WF's massive virgin overpopulation by forcing all women to sleep with the nerdy men here.
EVERYONE SHOULD GET LAID.

Not really, but whatever you say. Hulk, everyone should have a house. Agreed. Which is why we should pass legislation requiring everyone to purchase one. If you cannot afford a house, then homeowners should be taxed and have to pay into a general fund that will buy a house for each homeless person.

The mandate isn't even a mandate.
Yes, you get a fine for not having health care, but what happens if you don't pay that fine? Nothing at all. You don't get an extra fine and you don't get jail time.
SYE, I was meaning a place to live (and please don't come back and say a sidewalk or box or car is a place to live).

Even without the health care law people are paying for those who are uninsured. That is what causes costs to rise.

And we who have roofs over our head pay for social services that benefit the homeless. It's in our economic best interest to fix the problem of homelessness in the USA.

Maybe stop letting the pharma companies dictate our policies through politicians for sale and perhaps costs might go down.

I hate to break it to you, but we've had crooked politicians as long as we've had politics. I'd challenge anyone to show me an example from modern or ancient history where they didn't have corrupt politicians.

It's going to take a while before the SC reviews it but when it gets there then that's the part that matters I guess.
