Mir is a joke. Mir hasn't beaten anyone of true substance. I hate to say it but its true. Frank Mir is a joke and his music shouldn't be "Amazing" by Kanye West because Frank Mir is not an Amazing Fighter. |

The only reason Frank Mir doesn't have the same record as a JDS over the past couple of years is he's been matched up with the upper echelon of the division rather than a bunch of tomato cans. He beat Nog, beat Kongo more impressively than Cain, and granted it was at the tail-end of the most boring, inactive fight in MMA history but knocked out Cro Cop more impressively than Dos Santos did. |

Okay, But with the information about Frank Mir's last few fights it just shows that Junior Dos Santos could have a MMA career in the UFC similar to how Frank Mir's was except he may not become a heavyweight champion in the UFC. |

Mir beat Nog when he had a staph infection. Beat Lesnar when he only had 2 fights. Kongo is not that good.
JDS may get taken down but he also has a BJJ black belt from Nog.
Carwin is a gas bag. Needs to lose weight and get better conditioning. But by doing that he will lose a little bit of his power.
Honest to god the smartest thing Lesnar can do is go train with Matt Hughes. Hughes could turn Lesnar into a beast. But Brock is to thick headed and thinks everything he is doing is perfect. It's not, and he's not going to get better unless he explores other camps. Keep Death Klutch his main one, but travel. That's the same thing that killed off Liddell and all the older fighters. Not traveling and evolving. Then when the want to it's to late. In MMA you have to evolve with the sport or it will pass you up before you even know it.

Personally I see Lesnar upsetting JDS with a takedown & ground & pound win.
That sets up the rematch between Lesnar & Cain.
Presumably next in line will be Carwin. As someone here said Kongo isn't a contender but Carwin smashing through him will still look good on the hilite reel.
Beyond that who is there?
I'd love to see Mitrione get tested by a higher level fighter, possibly Nelson. Yeah Bateman you're right, such a talented fighter but clearly not training as hard as he could be. He has the ability, if he had the gas tank to push it hard for every minute of every round I think he'd be a handful for anyone.
I'm sure we'll get Mir vs. Nog 2. Sadly I don't see either guy being a threat to the top tier guys in the division now. Being a fan when they were both seen as the top guys that makes me sad.
Crocop will no doubt promise that he's back & over his injuries & then do very little. Would like to see him vs. Struve

I can't explain it, but I just see Brock getting that title back from him. Realistically I look at Brock's last fight and his next fight with Junior and think he'll just get destroyed... but I just have this weird feeling that Cain won't be champion much longer. I hope I'm wrong, because Brock's pretty entertaining when he's getting his ass whooped  |

His UFC debut was against Mir. He fought Heath after the loss.

I forgot who said it, and where it was posted, maybe here but I think Bas Rutten said that Brock can't be hit in the face during sparring. That will be Brock Lesnars down fall in many a fight. |
