The story supposedly behind this is a guy that worked for Jakks in 96 actually worked on a Championship belt project before he was done it was scrapped. Later different crappier belts were released in an official jakks 4 pack. Any who the guy made this 2pack at the company using what appears to be a series 2 bret hart and a razor ramon from the razor&diesel 2 pack. Also adding his Wwf Championships in the set. The background itself is even different from that one. It has two paintings of Bret and Razor that were done in 95' along with a Classic WWF logo in between the 2. Also with what appears to be a Sticker that says "WWF Collectors Edition 1 of 1" I really REALLY questioned the Authenticity of this item. Uuum i have scanned this thing up,down left and right for any flaws that would even suggest it was custom but the figures are sealed with no freakin sign of tampering even the 2 official Pics of Razor And Bret that Jakks used actually are 1 piece. Regardless this might be my greatest and most treasured wrestling item.

What makes it look fake are those awful looking title belts. Otherwise, it looks to be sealed well

Look at the LAST image, the Intercontinental title is CLEARLY paper thin. Ridiculous.

First thing I thought of upon seeing the images at the top of the post was "This is definitely a custom 2-pack. Not a particularly good one, but I appreciate the effort as far as making it happen with BCA figures."
There is literally no way that I could be convinced otherwise. Paper belts are paper belts and the story has no credibility whatsoever, so I'll have to pass on this one.
By the way, what does the back carding look like?

This reminds me of Pawn Stars when the person brings in what they think is a very valuable item used by some celebrity, but they don't have a certificate of authenticity to go with it. Experts look at it and it turns out to be fake. Person goes home dejected.
Where did you get it/how much did you pay for it?

Someone swapped out the Diesel figure from that Razor/Diesel 2-pack, added some paper belts and a sticker, and pasted a different image in the background. You can tell that the paper inserts of Bret and Razor on the sides of the pack came from their single figure releases: it's not one continuous piece and they overlap in the middle.

Yeah, you can see the little crowd design at the bottom has an overlapping piece (easiest to tell in the 2nd photo). And that sticker doesn't seem much like "Jakks of 1996" to me. It seems like a more modern thing. Biggest giveaway though are the paper belts.

It could be real maybe the belts were just protos and the dude just made it himself and then got his a$$ fired.......... you should take more pics or make a you tube vid to see if it really is seald it could be the rarest BCA set EVER or just a good custom that the dude made himself ... the world may never know.

Yeah, the belts look like paper. Im not an expert but that is fake. Looks as though the printer used had started to run out of ink, as well.
