Damn, that's just stupid. It seems like every year figures go up $1. That's pretty dumb. $12+ tax is rediculous for a ing toy. Seriously? That's just a basic-ass figure that's not unique. I'm tell you, Elite is where it's at as far as detail. We pay a bit more, but I'd rather pay $15 for a PERFECT figure, then $13 for a mediocre figure with no accessories and a plain attire, no color tats, limited articulation, and poor variety (top heavy talent lineups) It's only a matter of time before Elites & Legends jump to $17-$18 and 2 packs go to $20. It will spread to the other retailers as well. Kmart has already increased Elites & 2 packs in my area. Remember a short while ago the US was in a major economic crisis? Supposedly we were out of it, well now these big companies aren't helping anything. "Inflation" is running rampant it seems yearly and pretty soon it's going to cost us middle class $5.00 to take a crap

EVERYTHING at toys r us is more expensive then the other stores and the variety isn't that great. I collect greenlight cars. Target sells them for 4.29 with a larger variety. Toys r us sells them at 5.99 with the same crap they have had on shelves the last year or so. I give toys r us 5 years before they are out of business. Once in a while toys r us delivers but for the most part its just a waste of time me driving 25 minutes for no reason.

That´s honestly pretty cheap. These are the prices over here in Australia:
Elites: $30 2 packs: $40 Basics: $15
Consider yourselves lucky, US.

I usually buy my figures at Target, Walmart, Kmart and Boscovs, because they are usually the same price, and usually get them in pretty fast.
MY TRU still has not recieved Basic 8, Elite 6, nor Legends 3

It is pretty sad as TRU used to be really good on their prices and have a great variety around 10-15 years ago. But luckily I have Walmarts, Targets, and a K-Mart or 2 around here :0)

The prices may seem like they are going up but in reality the dollar just has less buying power. So it takes more to buy what we had in the past.

Legends are already 15.99 around here now. I wouldnt mind if they still had stands and nametags.

Last week when I was at my TRU the prices on the Mattels were:
Basics $10.99 (WM26 $11.99) Elites $15.99 (WM26 $15.99) Legends $14.99 Entrance Greats $14.99 Defining Moments $23.99 Basic Two-Packs $18.99 Legends Two-Packs $22.99 Figures with Belts $29.99 Flex Force $10.99
I haven't checked this week but a fellow collector told me the prices have gone up on some things, including the DCU figures which were at $14.99 are now at $17.99.

I wish figures were that cheap in Canada. Basic figures are practically $20 here. With Two packs, Elites and Legends being almost a few bucks off of $30.

TRU has become known for these damn price increases. I haven't bought anything from TRU in about 7 or 8 months, and that was only during the buy one get one half off sale that I used a gift card for. I shop at Wal-Mart, Target, and K-Mart. Within a few weeks I got DM HBK, Two-Packs Vlad/Zeke, Basic McCool, Elite Goldust, and Legends Warrior all from those 3 stores. My TRU has none of those, and I bought more in that haul alone than I've bought at TRU in a year. That haul = 6/My TRU purchases for the past year = 5. Last time I was in TRU, it was quieter than K-Mart, and that's saying something. K-Mart is usually a ghost store, but TRU was awful. Practically noone was there.

It really is crazy. The prices are getting dangerously close to the point where people will just stop buying or cut back dramatically. One thing I've noticed is that in general RSC is a much better deal than it used to be. They still charge about what they always have just now it's not so far apart from TRU prices.

The only reason I still go to my TRU is because of the customer service really. Everyone there knows me and they are always willing to point out what they just got in or when the next truck comes. However lately they haven't gotten anything new in for about 3 months. I just ordered the Lucha Libre USA figure series from their site and the prices on them weren't bad at all.

you Americans dont know how lucky you are.
We dont even get Legends in the UK so we have to pay companys double just to get them due to shipping to the UK.
BUT.... you still have a right to complain as I understand it there has been alot of price increases recently and with the lack of stands you have to wonder whats going on???
And if you have to pay more so will we from Europe and Australia... Makes you wonder just how much there paying for there materials aand how much profit there makng.
Legends going down to 4 per series and no 2 packs is worrying too.
Maybe you should send all your peg warmers overhere to the UK wrestling nostalga is strong over here especailly with the product WWE has been producing the last couple of years.
Like the Rxock said wwe has gone from Steve Austin! to The Rock! to Orton/Cena???
ohhh and You would have thought with the recestion prices would fall but the cost of living is going up too.

Figures in the US were (and still are) cheap. In Germany we have to pay 14,99€ for a Basic figure which equals $20,48!!! THAT is insane. especially if u are getting a lower guy on the card. Um what? I'm not sure I get that statement at all. Any way, people who don't live in America need to stop pointing how the figures cost more over there and we are "lucky". Mattel is an American company,in any other place but America they are imports and cost more. For example my super market has an isle that sells Candy from England, it's pretty pricey because it's imported. I bet in England the same stuff is all fairly common and sold at a fraction of the cost
