we've all played final fight and streets of rage, but how about all their lesser known sequels?
anyone ever play final fight 2 or 3, or the famicon version that included guy as a playable character?
or play the originally-planned-to-be streets of rage successor, fighting force?
how about earnest evans?
i'm really considering picking fighting force, and even the limited edition snes version of final fight including guy! runs at about $250 though.

I own Fighting Force on the PS1 and downloaded it on the PSN for my PSP. I remember being SO hyped for the game back when I was trying to save up for a PS1. I was so disappointed when I played it though. Tons of loading times, cheap bosses, and just not much fun overall. Still, as a little hand-held diversion on my PSP, it's pretty decent for killing some time. I never got far in the sequel though. I own that one on the Dreamcast.
I owned/played/beat the first Final Fight, but I never played the sequels. I believe part 2 or 3 has some dude with a sword. That's the extent of my knowledge about the games.
Speaking of Final Fight, didn't it get a random ass rebirth on the PS2 a few years back? Pretty sure it was a crap ass game though.

yea it did get a reboot but it didn't do well. guy, haggar and cody went on to become regular capcom competitors in street fighter and actually appeared in an episode.

I remeber Earnest Evans with fondness. It wasnt a bad game at all just didnt hold my interest enough to play through all the way to the end.

well i cracked and bought fighting force on the ps3 online store and it is a great, great game. really captures that arcade feel almost like a virtua game.
there's obvious playing issues with some things as there is on any early ps1 game, but it's worth the struggle.

Capcom is the undisputed king of the sidescrolling beat-em-up. Final Fight was only the beginning, make sure you check out Alien vs. Predator, Battle Circuit, Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over Mystara, The Punisher, Captain Commando, and Cadillacs & Dinosaurs as well. All of them are top notch games (well, the arcade versions are anyway).

I love Final Fight (in case you couldn't tell from my username). Had the SNES version, and I also have Final Fight 2. Not as good, but still pretty satisfying.
I didn't play Final Fight 3 until years later. Again, it's not bad, but it doesn't live up to the original. The X-Box 360 and PS3 Final Fight download is the best version, since it's the exact arcade game and includes all the original content.
