Wasn't Cody Rhodes supposed to take off Rey's mask in their match if he won...or did I just make that all up in my head?

I thought HHH/Taker was boring as shit. Big/finishing move, wait for a minute, cover, repeat pretty much, it was just boring. There was no flow or big feel to it like the Taker/HBK matches, just seeing a bunch of finishers was boring to me. Miz/Cena sucked, they had no chemistry, and ending Wrestlemania with interference screwing someone in their match is bullshit. Rhodes/Rey, Punk/Orton, and Del Rio/Edge were all good matches, but none of them were great. There wasn't one great match on this show. Not to mention the removal of Bryan/Sheamus, when we had the unneeded 15 minute Rock promo, the extra time killed with Edge/Christian destroying Del Rio's car, the stupid Long/Snoop Dog segment. Bryan/Sheamus being added and the 6 person tag being longeer instead of those would have been much better.
And Lawler/Cole. Oh man. Way too long and not good in the slightest, the reversal decision was just stupid, and serves no purpose. Booker T coming in to kill more time was unneeded. And Cole not even getting a stunner was stupid. This thing should have maybe been ten minutes total tops for everything.
This just wasn't up to snuff for a Mania. Even in the last few manias, when things havent been as good, it still FEELS big. Cena/Batista wasn't a good match, but them staring each other down the ring FELT big. Cena and Miz felt like a RAW main event, and they didn't have a good match at all to prove the naysayers wrong. This is the worst Mania for me since Wrestlemania 2000. I enjoyed Royal Rumble and elimination Chamber much more than this

I wouldn't say it was a terrible PPV but it sure as hell didn't fell like Wrestlemania. I had actual been looking forward to this all weekend. After The Rocks promo at the start of the PPV I was even more hyped but it just went down hill from there. LIke I said it was not terrible but the while PPV I was just waiting for something exciting to happen and it just never did. It felt more like a mid year PPV than Wrestlemania. If I had to score it I would probably give it a C I would not say there was any match that was really really bad the problem was none of them were that fantastic PPV quality matches.
My favorite of the night was probably Edge vs Del Rio. When Christian had that pipe I thouhgt for sure he was going to hit Edge with it. The whole trying to destroy the car thing was kind of weird I would have prefered if Edge wnet to kick in but instead noticed the door was unlcoked and the keys were in side and just stole the damn thing lol.

When E&C where destorying the car it felt 'awkward' And I think they COMPLETLY buried Del Rio tonight.

That was a pretty boring mania for me. Cody vs Rey was the best story line they had going. The title matches were lame. Del Rip built up and then squashed, and cena looked like he forgot how to wrestle. The crowd felt super lame no pops at all, and the commentary was really flat as well for jim ross. Its agrivating to see the Rock just show up and take the last few moments and make the whole show about him basically. Now we probably wont see or hear form him for years.

I eflt the entire event was just horrible. First off, the crowd was dead the entire show, there was no sound from them at all. Then, the amount of stuf time wasting, I mean did we need the Snoop Dog segment? Did we need the Lawler/Cole match to be half an hour where they 'wrestled' what, a total of 7 of those minutes? Because of these things we got two matches that were a total of what, 4 minutes at best, me, Undertaker's entrance was longer than the Corre match! Now onto the matches, and there was nothing much special here either. The best match of the night for me was Cody/Rey. Good timing and was great to see the right person win. I was so looking forward to Punk/Orton, but it became the same heel/face match we've seen for ages now, heel attacks all match, face gets finsiher out of nowhere and wins. We then got this again in the Main Event which was just awful, Miz cannot wrestle, and Cena can't do much better either. It was just a boring match with nothing to offer other than Rock, and even at that, he didn't do much but hopefully this does lead to a match between the two. Now, Taker/Triple H, I may be in the minority, but I feel that the entire match was just horrible, just a bore fest. All it was was just finisher, pin, finsiher, pin. It got boring at WM 26 for Christ Sake! It saddens me to say this, I hate to be a negitibe guy, but damn this was the worst Mania in a longggg time.

I haven't seen a complete Wrestlemania since Wrestlemania 20 which was my worst Wrestlemania. But Ive been hearing alot of negative feedback from Wrestlemania 27 which isn't good! Overall, I enjoyed the show. Pissed about Bryan-Sheamus getting bumped to dark match status. Disapppointed in the World title match. Cody-Rey wasn’t as good as I hoped, but it was alright. Orton-Punk was good. A couple of really good spots, and good work throughout. Probably the best match of the night. ***1/2 Cole-Lawler went on waaaay too long. Didn’t they learn from Hart-McMahon last year? And I wanted a piledriver, dammit!
Loved having JR back on commentary. He is so far above the other announcers, it’s ridiculous. HHH-’Taker was good, but not a great match. Within the first 10 minutes they were selling like they’d gone 60. Way too much laying around. Kinda understandable in the 2nd half of the match with all the finishers and chair shots, but not the first half. ***1/4 Very surprised at Snooki’s athleticsm. Miz-Cena was disappointing. A little sloppy early, and the crowd cheered for nobody, just booing when Cena was on offense, until the last few minutes before the countout. Very happy to see Miz retain the title.

Overall, I felt this Wrestlemania topped the last two years, but it wasn't anything special, but it wasn't bad. I just felt it was kind of anti-climatic.
I can't quite put my finger on it, The Rock costing John Cena the WWE Championship and closing Wrestlemania should of been a dream moment, but it didn't feel like that, it just felt kind of awkward and.. 'oh'.
The Miz kicking out of the AA was definately a high point, I as much as anyone thought it was over right there. But the way it just went and ended in a draw, all for The Rock to come and do what he did just felt pointless, and far too dragged out. They didn't need to do it like that at all. The Ref could quite easily of been knocked down and Rock could of cost Cena the Match then if he was going to do it. They dragged it all out far too much with the Raw GM Announcement going off, it just kind of killed the whole moment, and everybody saw it comming. I think Miz deserved to have his moment in the ring, he didn't need to get a beat down from The Rock. I also wish Alex Riley wouldn't of come to the Ring with him, and instead of done a run down. He always tries too hard to get noticed.
The Crowd was poor and as much as I hate to say it the Commentary during the Streak Match and the Main Event was so un-enthusiastic.
I was very nervous for the Triple H vs Undertaker Match. I really wanted them to have a good Match and for everything to go right. It all felt a bit rushed with no real layout or plan to start with, but I loved the way they had Triple H eventually dominate him. It was a side to the Streak Match that we've never seen before. It just shows how much the Streak has evolved, by the end of the Match it wasn't even about having a good Match and winning with a sudden Tombstone, it was about how the Undertaker wont die at Wrestlemania, no matter what you do to him. It really took it to another level. Triple H shone in that Match, he looked as good as he ever had in some parts.
I was extremely shocked to see the World Heavyweight Championship Match open the Show. In a way though, I'm not suprised Del Rio didn't win. It has been pretty much a lock for months now that Del Rio would go onto Wrestlemania and win, it became so dragged out that nobody cared for it, and the feud became stale. So that's the reason I can think of as to why they went against it Del Rio in the end. Pretty sure he'll win the Title sooner than later though.
Cody Rhodes deserves a lot of plaudits for his performance Sunday. He really shone, and deserved the Match he had. Great effort from him. The same goes to both Punk and Orton, who i was expecting a fairly stiff and boring Match from but it turned out pretty entertaining in the end. I don't need to comment on the two Tag Matches, they were what they were.
I have to say, the Stage and Set Up of the Georgia Dome was impressive. Quite possibly the best layout they've ever done for a Wrestlemania. While it wasn't as big in scale as some previous, everything looked so crisp, sharp, clean and modern. It was really fitting to the era we are in right now.
While I was left with a strange taste after the way the Show ended, overall as a Spectacle and what they managed to eventually put together on such short notice, it was fairly satisfying. I can say I definately enjoyed it a lot more than Wrestlemania XXV and Wrestlemania XXVI, despite the fact they had the two Shawn Michaels Matches. I think this was owed a lot to the fact that the previous two years we expected so much more than what we ended up getting. This year on the other hand, it was the other way around. The Card is weaker than in previous years, so I wasn't expecting a lot, but wanted a everyone to deliver, and it turned out good considering what they had to play with this year.
By no means will it go down as a Classic or one of the best Wrestlemanias ever, but using what it had, it delivered everything it promised, so you couldn't of asked for much more.

I dunno, I really enjoyed it! The only thing I was angry about was the fact that Bryan was bumped off the card.

Honestly, I think that if the positions of Miz/Cena and Triple H/Undertaker matches were swapped, with Triple H/Taker closing the show, most of these complaints would go away. I thought it was a solid show up to the Triple H/Undertaker match. This show suffered from the "WrestleMania 25 Effect" where stuck in the middle was this amazing main event level match that NOTHING could follow, so no matter how good everything else was after Triple H/Taker, it would have felt flat.
Taker/Triple H close out the show last night, and there would be fewer complaints from the peanut gallery.

Overall it was a decent show, but I didn't like the fact that they had the Rumble winner in the opening contest of the night. Although Edge/Rio had a decent match. Cody/Red and Punk/Orton were good. Taker/HHH was definitely the match of the night. Cole/Lawler went on too long they really should have learned from Hart/McMahon from last year. The main event was probably one of the worst ever, it had to be up there with Orton/HHH from WM 25 and Sid/Hogan from WM 8.
I really thought the whole night that they really were missing that "it" factor to put the show over the top. I have to admit that last year's WM was much better than last night.

Worst wrestlemania EVER. Yes, I mean ever!! I would highly disagree. What was good about it? Nothing went beyond average. Average - taker/hhh. punk/orton, cody/rey. All the other matches were terrible. Lame segments between matches and crap video promos beforehand and to top it all off, the worst WM mania event in history - even more so than HHH vs Orton. People seem very easily impressed. What is it you pay in the US for the ppv, $65? We pay about $30/5 here in the UK and that was a rip.
