I'm as big of a wrestling mark there is, but let's face it, once we put all the denial aside, tonight's WrestleMania sucked, the WWE has no direction, and there's a reason why WWE's programs don't get TV ratings higher than the 3's anymore. No one is expecting the Attitude Era again, but quality wrestling matches and quality writing (in PG) are not too much to ask for.

Matches should have been in this order:
Rhodes/Mysterio
Mixed Tag
Cole/Lawler
8 Man Tag
Bryan/Sheamus
Orton/Punk
Miz/Cena
Edge/Del Rio
Taker/HHH
Mind you, I believe it should have originally been booked with something like Kozlov & Santino vs Gabriel and Slater for the Tag titles, and then a MITB match, with Kofi, McIntyre, Sheamus, Kane, Show, Barrett, Morrison and Ziggler, with probably Barrett winning.

I thought it was ok. Not the worst, far from the best. But I am glad I didn't spend big money to go even though it was down the street.

some guy said something about not being a wrestling fan if you didn't enjoy the show. i'm a huuuuuuggge wrestling fan. i want wrestling to be good. this was bad. simple as.
and i went in with pretty high expectations and really wanting to enjoy it. i knew they had an uphill battle with a hit or miss card, and they missed. they missed badly.

I just read ONE page in WF's 'Mania thread after the show against my better judgement, and I'm ready to punch a wall. I seriously cannot believe how so many people who claim to be fans of wrestling could hate a show this much. It's freaking depressing and REALLY makes me wish that the IWC didn't exist. This show wasn't the best, but it was FAR from the worst and was pretty enjoyable compared to last year and previous ones. You guys make me sick some times. Shut the hell up and enjoy the product for a change. Some of you went into this show with zero intentions on enjoying it and pretty much had your thoughts about it before it even started. I agree 100% man. I want to come on here and talk to people who love to watch WWE as much as I do. Instead it's constant complaining over every little thing. They act like all WWE does is make them absolutely miserable, yet they continue to watch. And shove nothing but negativity down the throats of those that enjoy it. |

I'd say the ones that are disappointed are the ones that would rather bitch and complain about stuff on WF, rather than look for anything good about the show. Sure, that's good for Raw threads, and I do it a lot..but not when 50 to 60 dollars is being taken from my pocket. That's when you turn off the computer, shut off your mind and enjoy the experience. There were good things about the show. It wasn't the WORST 'Mania I have ever seen, but it fell pretty short. It was just badly placed promos and badly placed match order that hurt this show. The matches itself were alright, not on-par with what should be done at WrestleMania, but most of them were good. It's just the placement of everything seemed very, very off. |

Of course he didn't know what he was doing. He's not a wrestler. Plus it seems he went out of his way to look awful. Why should they have practiced it? If they did people would be bitching that it looked too choreographed. It looked bad. Cole has been on and on every week about saying "Jack Swagger is my trainer!" so you would expect SOMETHING to be worked out in that aspect, but Cole looked..... lost. He tried to do the Vader bomb and  ed up 3 times doing it and STILL did it, and Lawler still sold it. Cole has been embarrassing Lawler week after week. I would have expected some retribution for what he did, because Austin was also involved. They should of had him play a bigger part in HELPING Cole lose. Cole got the win, I'm betting that means the feud is not over yet. Probably Swagger w/ Cole vs Lawler w/ Austin at Extreme Rules. I thought grabbing Cole's hand and smacking him against the Cole Mine several times was fantastic. Should it have gone differently? Maybe. But it did its job. Gave Jerry Lawler a WrestleMania match. |

Worst WWE PPV I've ever ordered. No exaggeration. *cough Wrestlmania 25 cough* 25 was way better than that. Like not even close. Both titles matches were better, and it had HBK vs Taker 1. Not saying the WM25 title matches were great, but they were better than tonights. |

I enjoyed tonight for the most part, it wasn't the best Wrestlemania but it wasn't the worst either, and it was certainly better than last year.
Cody Vs. Rey was easily the best match of the night.
Del Rio vs. Edge wasn't too though it shouldn't have been first and should have been longer. Miz vs. Cena had some good moments like Rock doing the rockbottom on Cena and then Miz picking up the win but it felt a little short and then The Rock beating up Miz wasn't needed. I do have to say that their entrances were probably the best things in the whole match though. Orton Vs. Punk was ok but it made me realize that I cannot stand anything Orton does anymore especially with that ending. HHH vs. Taker was fine but seeing spot after spot and finisher after finisher was just boring.
The Corre match was terrible because it was barely a match, as was the Snooki match but still seeing her do backflips was pretty funny. And Cole vs. King could have been ok if it was a lot shorter.

I respect your opinion and everything guy, since I see you on this forum and everything, but what happened to opinions, guy? Sure, I've only seen a small handful of WMs in their entirety in the 21 years of my existence, but the show tonight was terrible. Only one real noteworthy match (as good as Rhodes/Rey were, will anyone remember it in a year?), and a way overbooked and just lame finish (especially for WM, imo.). I dunno, man. I hate to be that guy, but in this point you really seem incredulous to the idea of anyone disliking the show, which is silly. First of all, sorry to come off as such a tool. This thread really set me off. I came here after discussing the duration of the show with intelligent fans who know how to share an opinion as to why or why they didn't like the show. Then I come here to see the SAME PEOPLE crapping on Wrestlemania like they do every thing that happens. It's sickening. I'm definitely not opposed to anyone not caring for this show. But to claim it was the worst Mania and that it was awful is, in my opinion, ridiculous. There were redeeming parts of this show. |

When I found out it was a dark match, I got pissed off and I think it ruined WrestleMania for me. I was really looking forward to that match and thought it had potential to be match of the night. |

Jesus you people never cease to surprise me...bitch bitch bitch every single year. Do you ever enjoy anything? Just because your favorite lost or one match was boring doesn't mean the entire event sucks. Every match and every show can't be the best of all time. Did they have the best show they could have had with the card they had? Yes. I think so. You people set such high expectations. Every show you expect it to be the show of all shows.
