Man, they all look awesome!! I think Rick "The Model" Martel is the best out of the set. Without a doubt, it's the most complete Martel figure ever made, in my opinion. How cool is it that he FINALLY comes with Arrogance?? Man, Mattel is doing an unbelievable job on these Legends figures. The detail on these is nothing short of amazing. They are awesome!!

Every time I get a new Mattel figure, or see a detailed pic or vid of an upcoming release, I get more and more excited about the legends we know are coming (DDP, Bret) and the ones I hope are coming soon (Big Bossman, Diesel).
Mattel consistently produces high-quality likenesses that keep bringing back so many fond memories. And to think they're barely 1/5 of the way through their contract!
As yes, The Model is a fantastic figure. With Arrogance in tow AND his "Yes, I am a Model" button, this figure could have been a Defining Moments if he were a bit more popular. I'm just . . . stoked.

gah next week Tuesday/Wednesday can't come fast enough, and with luck that means i will get my Macho/Martel by Friday. I have Bam Bam on back order and I'm holding out for a One Man Gang.
Martel is nothing short of spectacular, he even has his little model pony tail! I would have preferred him in pink or baby blue, but the purple is fine - it's a departure from the constant reds and black outfits we get. I only wish we had a AWA title belt heh. I want to display him with full gear, so I'm hoping his jacket doesn't look too poofy in person.

Thanks for the videos, Tom! I'm glad to hear that L5 will be coming soon, I look forward to getting these in the mail. I laughed at Tom's reluctance to do Akeem's jive dance, I always thought it was funny whenever Akeem did it.
Despite being only 4 figures, L5 is an impressive set! They're all perfect but I think "The Model" Rick Martel is the best of the set because of the extra details. Bam Bam Bigelo is awesome and Macho Man will no doubt be the most popular, with his classic look, but Martel is flawless with the headscan, attire, "Yes, I am a Model" button, the extra little tassels on his boots, and Arrogance!

Yeah looking at these again....Rick Martel is awesome...the likeness is just awesome. Akeem is perfect aswell. They put so much effort into the Bigelow...theres gonna be a huge difference between Mattels Legends line and Jakks Classic. I wish I never wasted all my money on the Classic figs lol...

Man...I was thinking Martel was going to be a easy pass for me, wanted to hold out for a AWA or strikeforce/CanAm version of him, but what are the chances we get a 2nd figure of Martel? I am glad RSC puts up these vids in HD quali, cuz the vid just sold me on the figure. Will be placing a back-ordered order soon

Now I know that Mattel pays attention to the little details but I am beyond impressed with that Rick Martel figure. There's a specific reason that nobody else has mentioned yet. Yeah, the scan looks cool and he comes with great accessories but...look at his boots. Martel always had super long laces on his boots and I marked huge when I saw that his Mattel figure had the long laces. Good job Mattel!
