Well after someone making a thread last night about The Rock figures and how innacurate they are, I thought i would back their point up with pics. Here ya go.
First up, CS19 - very mixed Rock figure, bad headscan for that ERA, had bull tattoo, not too bad, could be better.
Second up, Champions 3 pack, well this is just an all round innacurate figure, bull tattoo on shoulder
wrong headscan, just overall a poor figure.
Third up, K-Mart EXCLUSIVE, this is by a long shot, the best Rock figure out, it's flawless, the pictures do the talking, very accurate samoan tattoo, has bull tattoo, brilliant t-shirt design, back t-shirt design also, all round a perfect figure.
Fourth up, RA4 Rock, well this figure overall is good, but no bull tattoo ruins it totally, a 'made-up' samoan tattoo, although the guitar accessory is great, and is pretty much identical to him in 2003 when he was doing The Rock shows, so mixed emotions about this one.
Fifth up, CSDA Rock, I wouldn't say this is too bad a figure, but with the front of the figure being silver, and back being red, just seems a bit made up and the headscan is poor, really bad boots, but the positive is that it comes with a paint attitude era belt which i've always credited it overall for lol.
Sixth up, CS10. Well of all The Rock figures they release, this is completely flawless.. It couldn't have been anymore perfect in my opinion.
Seventh up, Bring The Noise Rock, now this is a brilliant attire choice from when he did the segment with The Hurricane, just he had his wrestling trunks on, but then again, i don't blame Jakks for putting him in trackies because of it being backstage etc, also the accessories he comes with are good, guitar, water bottle, green locker and glasses.
Eighth up, WM Winners/Debut The Rock, well this is an awesome figure, not much to say about it, shame about the headscan, but that can soon be sorted by putting CS10's head on it.
Numero nueve RAW X Rock (fixed-up) Well I decided to fix-up my RAW X Rock because well, it's easy and because i had the spare parts, I added the bull tattoo, and hands without wrist tape, and you could say this is now a flawless figure, If people want a picture of the original, I do have a second so i can do them straight away, just post in this thread
Numero Diez! RA8 Rock, now this is a good figure, but I would have thought they would have done one or another with this figure, either in wrestling attire, or in backstage attire, they've sort of mixed it, but not a problem, the good thing is there was 'an effort' at the bull tattoo, but it is really dissapointing they didn't do half on the chest because RA4 has it and that was released earlier, a bit of a strange one in my opinion by Jakks, but the one thing it has that RA4 doesn't have is the Bull Tattoo! woo lol. Overall a fairly good figure.
Number 11, Off The Ropes series 8 The Rock based on his movie 'Walking Tall' I personally haven't watched it, but from the pictures i've seen, this is a pretty accurate figure, don't really know what else to say about this one, just from what i've seen a good figure.
Number 12, CS17 Rock. Now I think this is a great figure, cloth shirt, not a bad height considering it's got suited trousers, good accessories, brilliant headscan.. Not much else to say, brilliant overall figure.
Now, CS20.. This is now my second favourite Rock figure. 100% flawless along with the K-Mart EXC imo. Headscan is perfect, correct boots (like on the rest) No wrist tape, correct belt for the ERA, great torso for the ERA, it's just flawless. Brilliant figure, how CS19 should have been.
I think the set as a whole is good, with immense detail on High Chief Peter Maivia and a good Rocky Johnson figure, but The Rock's figure, is well once again poor. Wrist tape. again? It has a good bull tattoo, no samoan tattoo sadly, and if I recall right, I never rememer Rock being that ripped ever, correct boots as always, struggling to see what era'd headscan this is from, I think I need a bit of help with this one, it's like they've just chucked a loads of parts together. Does anyone think this Rock figure is good? It's hard to see a positive other than the bull tattoo..
