Hey guys, I need some help.
I really want to get into comics, but I'm a little confused about how I actually get them. I know the most obvious is the comic shop, but I'd also like to know about the sites.
For anyone that gets DC comics, can you order from them directly in any other way than subscription.
Also, how would I subscribe to comics that are not on their subscription page (i.e. Batman Beyond).
Is my best bet to just go to the comic shop? I assume they can handle most of the things I am asking about, right?
Thanks for any help, guys.

I would say just going to your local comic shop and seeing if you can start a pull list of the titles you want would be the best way.

Getting the comics from the comic shop is the best way. If you subscribe and get them through the mail then there's a chance that the comics can get damaged in the mail. If you go to the comic shop, you can pick and choose which comics you want and hand pick the best conditioned comics.

Marvel and DCs subscriptions are crap. There are a few decent places online to get sucscriptions from, but like everyone else said, your best bet is going to a local comic shop, and creating a pull list with your favorite titles.

definitely your local comic store. not only is there a variety there that you can explore, but also you're not tied down in case you grow weary of a specific title.
go into the store, spend a few hours there and ask any questions needed - if it's a comic store you're going to want to support, they'll support your interest as well.
