Or Dana could just bite the ing bullet, lift the lifetime UFC ban bullsh*t on him, and stop acting like a prick, where Daley is concerned. As much as I like Daley, he deserves the heat he's getting for right now. Dana put him on a clean line to the title, and Daley turns around and tries to sucker punch a guy on ppv after losing. Daley is the prick in this situation and doesn't deserve a clean pass back into the company. Should he banned for life? No. As dumb as his actions were, nobody was hurt and he's still a good fighter. He should be allowed to earn his way back into the company eventually, but until then he deserves the punishment he got. I'm sure if he beats Diaz, gets a few wins, and can manage to make weight(!) during all of that, Dana would be open to letting him into the UFC. At the end of the day, if Dana can get the best fighters on his programs, he's likely gonna do it. Exactly he ed up, he deserves his punishment, actions have consequences, he'll just have to live with them.

Highlights from today's conference call:
- Elbows will be allowed on the ground in Strikeforce! - Showtime contract active until 2014. - "[Strikeforce] fighters will never have to do business with me" - Dana White - "[My] thoughts on the women's division are the same (laughs). That's Scott's business, not mine" - Dana White - No more UFC/Strikeforce counter-programming. - Scott Coker does not have an equity in ZUFFA. - ZUFFA has 4,000+ fights in their media library. - Scott Coker and ZUFFA started talking about the deal in December 2010. - "Will these guys [Strikeforce and UFC fighters] never face each other? No" - Dana White

So I guess we can assume Strikeforce is safe until at least 2014 due to the Showtime contracts.

This news is a shock to me. Sucks we'll have to wait a few years before some UFC vs Strikeforce fights.

I'm so glad elbows to the face on the ground will finally be allowed, I thought it was a dumb rule not to be able to do so.

I think elbows are stupid, anyway. But whatever.

I'd trade elbows for knees any day. Elbows just allow fighters to just stay there and not posture up, which makes for more boring fights. Banning elbows encourages fighters to ground and pound effectively instead of laying there using short elbows.

That's true, but you're only focusing on the negative James. There are some fighters with some heinous, sick elbows on the ground, Jon Jones being the first example that comes to mind, I think elbows are a great tool if utilized correctly and not just to hold position.

I think my biggest problem with elbows is that they cause cuts that get fights stopped prematurely.

Elbows are cool.

There aren't too many, but it allows fighters to stall.

What's Dana's thoughts on women's division? Is he gonna put an end to it?

Holy Poop! UFC is just growing like crazy! BTW, I wonder when Fedor will go now? Chances are he's going to duck the UFC for the rest of his life.

I hope that slimeball Paul Daley isn't given a shot in the UFC eventually with this deal happening. He's a ing disgrace to England and disgrace to Mixed Martial Arts. Don't want him representing our country in the number one promotion in the world. Even if he works his ass off, I hope he is doomed for his career to stay in the minor leagues. Seriously his attitude represent the slime balls on the streets of London and all the chav s around. Should go get an hoodie and go around stealing mobile phones and stabbing people on the streets of London, because that's where he fits best. (Was discussed on ESPN, so kinda raged a the idea)

Kidding aside, if Daley tops Diaz, and controls the Strikeforce WW division for a bit, I honestly would have to look beyond his nonsense so we can see him take on GSP (assuming he's still in the top spot by then). However if he wants to keep up with his "Hell no, I won't go" antics, then fine. Stay in Strikeforce and make your money there.

What? I speak my mind when I'm strong opinionated on someone. Paul Daley is scum, if he was to be let in to the UFC, I'd hope his career would die in a losing streak or something so we can just get rid of him again.
