their prices change all the time, this isnt' new at all. When figs are in high demand prices go up, when in low demand prices go down.

i love ringside! it started in 98 i would get two full sets of the bca superstar line delivered at my door the next day when every other friend who collected them waited weeks to even find some of them..
now i just buy some of my fav legends for display, so i'm patient but when DM Macho, or WARRIOR came out.. CLiCK CLiCK BOOM! at my door , still never saw a DM Macho or Warrior in my local stores! and when the ROCKERS appear some day, this jobber's debit card is gettin a signature transaction brotherr!
if you want a figure, go to Target, Walmart, TRU, Kmart, dont find it, try tru's site, then check rsc... if its worth the value to you then buy, if not then HEY its all good brother! there was a mom&pop collector shop in mall years ago.. every item he had was above retail
Lets be honest, ringside and places like them probably do not pay mattel the same price for merch stock that TRU pays.. besides their quicker shipping... whatever the reason, but that is prob the case
Plus does tru have a crazy meth addict who lives in his mothers basement and def does not own razor blades to shave cause his older stripper sister already used em all..make videos displaying the excellent features of their products!!
plus plus when i email them or have question... ANSWER. at tru this past weekend i saw the label for ALL STARS 2 Packs, asked a women if there are any more she said no if u dont see em we dont have em.... 12 mins later i see a full peg of all star 2packs on an end cap with promo display of the video game and promo DVD packs....
plus plus ringside handles their figs with XTRA CARE for US .. check out a tru old woman handling a legends ROCK. like its her Pack of CiGS @ lunch time..
i bought all of my EGs at tru cause i find them there easy and fast.. while i plan on ordering L5 Macho Man asa my paycheck comes sat Cause that fig and tshirt bring memories of my childhood and i prefer to pay extra few dollars then to pay gas, cost time to search
my girl loves Shoes.. when she wants her fav pair of heels that is popular in all those **** magazines and she cant find em in the big dept stores or from the company's site.. she goes to this little specialty Boutique in soho (nyc) .. its smaller than neiman&marcus but with even better customer service.. stocked with all the silly HOT shoes every girl wants at a premium price w/ the "can i take ur coat" "would u like some coffee" and boom the pair she had been wanting is there in her size and SALE.
2 the dude that started this.. i feel ya.. even dirty tom or Jon Hal himself doesnt prefer to pay top dollar for everything.. but its a niche..for a specialty item.. i'm very satisfied looking at my DM MACHO MAN pointing my bedroom sky!!~
ooooooooooooohh YEEEAAAAAA
dig it?!

With the way TRU is going these days,RSC is a welcome alternative. Walmart and Target and sometimes Kmart all pretty much come through with everything there. And ,I do feel I could find any basic series fig at retail. Its the scaled back items at walmart (like 2 packs,Elites,Legends) that command more attention to RSC from me. My stores are hit and miss on every line that isn't basic or Flex Force. I think, most of the time their prices are reasonable. Especially on the full sets. Now their shipping rates? Yeah that's a little more debateable. The codes take off enough sometimes for the shipping to not be a factor. Other times it has prevented me from hitting the "send payment" button so to speak. But as far as their actual prices go,I think they are mostly fair.

I just wish they would give us free shipping if we shop for let's say 75 bucks. Shipping is what halt me from order more with them.

Well, Elite 8 went from $100 - $80 because their first shimpent is sent overnight from Mattel so they charge more to cover the overnight cost. They are now $80, because that's going to be from their second shipment which will not be overnighted from Mattel so they charge less. But that's only 5 figures, not the whole Elite 8 set. And the price is still above retail. Well, that's all they are getting, They aren't going to get Regal in their shipments. And why should they cost the same as retail? $80 for 5 figures is $16 a figure so they are what $1 more than retail? They are an online specialty shop so that's pretty d@mn good. And if you use the WFigs code you save 10% which is a nice savings especially on a larger order. And for the most part you are still getting them before mass retail which makes the couple dollars more worth it. And they also need to charge higher on some figures to cover the cost of the pegwarmers they aren't going to sell. It's not like WalMart/Target where the toys means so little of their sales that they can afford to have the pegwarmers just sit.

And when you consider they're like 17 or 18 at TRU now, you are actually saving money!

You might as well sticky this thread, as this topic literally comes up like twice a year.
With the amount of contests, promo codes, monthy PPV and holiday sales, and great service before and after I place my order, I really can't see a single issue I have. I understand exactly what I'm paying for, both quality and service wise. And if there's something I don't feel I have a reason to purchase directly from them, and either want to look elsewhere or have found elsewhere, I highly doubt RSC takes it personally.

Well, to all: I'm not trying to say that their prices are bad or saying stuff about them, I was just wondering why back ordered items get a lower price or with the Ottunga/Tarver pack, raise the price.? The price of the E8 set was good, but when I saw the final cost of 87, I said no. It was late March and they should pop up around Early/Mid April. I could wait. The E9 Miz and Ryder have ok prices, but then the shipping prices kills it for me. They'd arrive to me Mid-May and around late May, they'd be in stores. I can wait. So yeah, it was just a question.
