Omg it was really cool looking, very huge and bright orange then I checked it out later and it was back to the regular usual color it normally is. Every time I tried taking a picture it looked like a dot.  But it was cool.

Assuming you saw it since you said its pretty. Did you notice you couldn't really see details because it's really bright? Now your right...excuse myself for enjoying the glow and the color of the moon instead of analyzing it as a scientist would. I also didn't take pictures does that make it improbable that I enjoyed a moment of something ineffable. So I chose the simplest words to describe something I found beauty in. Please do not assume simple statements of admiration are based on ignorance.....  Dude calm down I was just asking if you noticed the same thing I did. |

Last time I seen something like that was in 2003: the moon was HUGE and had an orange glow.

I didn't notice it looking bigger.
Of course, the only way I've ever noticed it look bigger is when it's closer to the horizon line. At that point you have objects to compare it to and its relative size increases.
When it's in the middle of the sky, 14% isn't going to be really noticeable at all.
Still neat to know it's closer than normal though.

just looked outside again,and it's in the west now and,again,looks no bigger to me than it normally does in the morning...
like Calcifer said,i've seen it close to the horizon before,and that,to me,is when it looks huge....but 3/4 of the way up in the sky? not so much...
