Tito Ortiz is ready to step back in the Octagon and he will have a very tough test ahead of him when he does as he will face Ryan Bader at UFC 132 in July.
Sources close to the fight confirmed the bout to MMAWeekly.com on Monday.
Tito Ortiz (15-8-1) will not only be fighting Ryan Bader in July, he will literally be fighting for his UFC career. The former light heavyweight champion is currently on a three fight losing streak, but UFC president Dana White said he would give him one more chance to prove himself, and this is it.
Ortiz was set to face Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at UFC Fight Night 24, but a training injury forced him out of he fight, so he will return in July instead.
Ryan Bader (12-1) steps back in action for the first time since suffering the lone loss of his MMA career, after being submitted by now light heavyweight champion Jon Jones.
Prior to that loss, Bader had won five fights in a row in the UFC, and looks to start a whole new streak when he faces Ortiz in July.
The bout between Bader and Ortiz will be a featured fight on the Las Vegas card going down July 2, headlined by B.J. Penn and Jon Fitch in a welterweight showdown.

They should bump up Frankie/Gray III to this card and just call it UFC 132: Wrestlemania

Oh shit! I didn't want to see him leave the company so soon, I really like Tito. He's going to get ed. He is no Jon Jones.

Should be a very interesting fight, and as much as I like Tito, he's gonna have to pull something miraculous out in this fight, as I'm sure Bader has worked his ass off not to get caught like he did against Jones.

Ahh, looks like Tito will be getting the ax after this fight. Shame too, because I had him beating Lil Nog.

We've seen numerous bad decisions over the years, so you never really know who will win a fight until they step in there and it ends. It should be a good scrap though.

I don't think that's too far out there. I definitely see the argument in Lil Nog winning, but I truly believe that was a fight Tito could win. Standing with Lil Nog would be a nightmare for Tito, but if he realily utilizes his wrestling, I think Tito can pull off a UD. Both Tito's and Lil Nog's cardio is ****, so at the end of the day, it really comes down to who has the bigger gas tank.

I actually thought Nogueira won his fight with both Brilz and Bader, but I imagine he has worked on his wrestling to improve on his takedown defense. He gets a bad wrap now for whatever reason, but I think Nog did well in both fights.

The only thing Tito has goig for him in this is his conditioning, he may be able to go to decision, but unfortunately, I think he's going to be done. Which is sad, cause he is one of my favorites, and he's at least made it hard to finish him the last couple years even when losing, but damn

one of my all time favorites but if he had problems with Hamill, I think Bader is going to f*** his sh** up.
one thing I have always admired about Tito is he has never really been dominated besides against Couture and Liddell. The guy has a lot of heart, it is going to be sad for me to see him being basically forced into retirement.

Everyone is writing him off already?
He could have got the decision against Griffin he if even bothered to actually do something in the 3rd round. I can't remember him even throwing a punch.
Now that he knows this is his last chance, he'll definitely step it up.

Ryan is gonna beat Tito which is a shame since Tito was always one of my favorite fighters. Entertaining ground and pounder.

Picking Tito to win this. Hopefully this is the fight that gets Tito back into the mode he used to be in, and I see Tito winning by quick TKO. Just my opinion though.
