I don't see why everybody hates Goldberg. Apart from his ridiculas overness, He has quite a bit of speed for a power guy. As does Bobby Lashley. Lashley lacks on the mic, but Bill cuts quite good promo's. I also heard He was nice and sends autographs to sick people. Most of them would rip it up though

Ive never understood it either. Ive always liked him. I know he might not of been the best wrestling technician in the world, but for what he was...he was good...if that makes sense.
He gets knocked for the Bret Hart injury, and his WWE run wasnt that great (could have/should have been a lot better). As far as the Bret Hart thing, with any of the moves that these guys do, any of them could be "career enders". It was an accident. It could have happend to anybody in any given match.
Short and sweet of it is that I thought he was good.
But Im a WCW mark......Hell, I liked PN News.

I was never a huge fan of Goldberg's, but the early days of his undefeated streak in WCW were exciting and some of the best build-up for a new, undefeated wrestler that I've ever witnessed.
I remember how huge he was during the Monday Night Wars, and even years later for his debut in WWE. Sure, he wasn't anywhere close to being a great wrestler, but his gimmick and presence kept him over with the fans. I think most people hate him because of coming to WWE and never amounting to much (you can thank Vince and Triple H for that) or because I've heard he is sort of a dick.
Regardless, I know that I stopped caring about him a couple months into his WWE debut. And, when I think of Goldberg now, I choose to block out the years he spent with WWE, as I quite often do with others making similar returns during 2002-2004 (Hall, Nash, Steiner, etc).

I loved Goldberg in WCW. More so, 1998-1999.
His WWE run sucked though.

May I say I loved his first feud with Scott Steiner.

The only problem I had with Goldberg besides not paying his dues was that he was too sloppy in the ring. If he spent more time caring about the other guy in the ring, then a brilliant career like Bret Hart's wouldn't have been ended by a 3rd year wrestler/ex-football player who got too much too fast.
I was never a HUGE fan of Bret Hart, but it was really messed up that a kick in the head from Goldberg had to end his 20 year career.
Not to mention all the times Goldberg F'ed himself up by trying to look like a tough guy on Television....Example: when he punched the window of the car and nearly severed his arm off.......and when he kicked in the window of the elimination chamber and cut the back of his leg up something fierce.
Bill was really someone that you didn't want to work with in the ring cause you knew there was a good chance of getting unintentionally hurt. I'm glad Regal took the time to humble him and make him look like a jackass on Nitro.
I was in the crowd at Wrestlemania XX hoping and praying that Lesnar would shoot on him.

So do you blame Sting for cutting Rick Rudes career short? Or do you blame Matt Hardy (may have been Jeff) when he messed up Joey Mercurys face last year? How bout Rick Steiner when he did the bulldog to Buff Bagwell and forced him to have neck surgery. Or how about when Rob Van Dam broke Edges jaw earlier this year?
Or how about when a defensive end lay a good hit on a quaterback, and the qb never plays again. Do you hate the defensive end for doing his job?
It was an accident.

I loved Goldberg. He had the feel of a true main event guy. I dont think he was too shabby in the ring, like most people do.

I guess that people don't like him is because he sometimes thinks he's worth more than what he really is. I don't know, that's all I can come up with.

Atleast he's better than most of WWE's roster.
Bill > Khali Bill > Umaga Bill > Batista Bill > Cena Bill > V Bill > Mark Henry
And so on.

I hated knowing he singlehandedly end Bret Hart's career. However I thought Goldberg could've been huge. I mean he was huge in 1998, but once he lost his title and undefeated streak, WCW didn't do a whole lot to re-build him.
