I loved his win tonight. That Trouble In Paradise caught into Wasteland was incredible! And then to top it off, Justin Gabriel's 450 splash was like the icing on the cake. He didn't have to do that move, but The Corre is making a statement. Since there is no real SmackDown! next week, will they announce a WrestleMania match for The Corre on WWE.com perhaps?

It's a good move that could finally give some credibility to the title, and like you said, back to Barrett.
He, and the Corre have been a mess since moving over to Smackdown. The tag titles have done nothing for them, and I don't expect the Intercontinental title to have any effect on the group as a whole, but it could do wonders to save face for Barrett, who has become a total afterthought.

A lot of people on another forum I was on thought Wade should have been pushed straight to the World Title. I never really liked that idea and even though he's lost some momentum I think this IC reign will help him out a lot and slowly work him back up instead of being crammed down our throats.

Im really glad he won too. The title seemed to just kinda be wasting away with Kofi. If they do this right, they could really add a lot more prestige to the title that it has seemed to lost in the past couple of years.
But yea I think its a great move, and yes that counter into the wasteland was f'ing sick as hell. It was really awesome.

Great idea although I would still be bummed McIntyre was forgotten at WM.. Wouldn't be the best way to showcase the IC belt but it's better than nothing. But would that make Zeke the manager? |

Its funny seeing that over the last year Sheamus and Wade got huge main event pushes that wwe cocked up one way or another, now they've actually realised that the old 'mid card title push' is probably a better way to go.

I'm pleased Barrett has some gold, however it means nothing if he doesn't have a good reign where he actually defends the belt. I mean I don't wanna see Kofi just fade away, they should have a rematch down the line, and Barrett should defend against the likes of Chris Masters, Kane, Christian etc in the future.
Now it's actually happened and I won't be spoiling anything, I might as well share my idea for Mania again, without having to put it in white text.
Intercontinental & Tag Team Championship Match
Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater [w/ Ezekiel Jackson]
vs.
Kofi Kingston, Kane & Big Show
One fall to a finish, who pins who is irrelevant; Kingston would be challenging for the IC title and Kane & Big Show would be challenging for the Tag team titles.
It was suggested that Jackson and Diesel be added to the teams, but I thought then they would be involved in a match where they won't be defending/ challenging for any gold. Still, I guess it could still work.
