Toronto's massacre of my adopted home team wasn't even funny. Twin's didn't even fight.

The Royals really competed well tonight, Francis kept the ball low and the much improved defense in the infield helped keep the score low. All they needed was a huge hit and "Hawaiian Punch" Kila did it for us.
I really doubt this team competes that much, the starting rotation is not very good and I think will be this teams achilles heel. On the plus side though, the defense is improved, the bullpen has the potential to be one of the best in the game and the line-up can take a lot of leaps this year leading into 2012, which is when some of those prospects might finally hit the majors for this team.
All I know is that for the first time in a long time, I am pretty excited for this franchise in the years to come. Unless of course everything happens in typical Royals fashion and nothing pans out and the already good players get hurt or traded...bleh.

Dunn gets his 7th opening day homer, looks great so far. Now just waiting for the 73638 K's hah. Quentin looks good too, gotta keep that up for the whole year though, this team is depending on him. Buehrle shoulda been pulled out before he gave up some of those runs. I can already see that I'm going to get sick of Ozzie not realizing when the right time is to pull the starters. Gotta finish this game strong.. That win was ugly but i'll take a win any day Yea I agree, I just hope the lack of a bullpen doesnt become a habit. This starting five is strong enough to carry the bulk of the work, but they wont get too far without a productive bullpen. And looks like I was wrong about the Indians having momentum. They're smashing the ball so far.

Glad to see this Resop guy was so worth the pick up there, Nut.
Gotta love your hopes being crushed by sh*t pitching.

Tejada leading off today? WTF, Boach?
Belt went yard last night, they lost the game but his composure in the first two games is really encouraging. Possible ROY candidate.

If he sticks, its between him and Freeman, but who knows what Sabean does. My guess is Belt is in AAA come May 1st when Ross is back....stupidity, but probable

He should have retired when he got hurt hitting that grand slam last year.

Our pitching staff absolutely blows this year. I have a feeling the Cardinals are in for a long season.

Great performance by Shields is gonna be wasted because our offense blows. Not to mention through 5 we are getting no-hit.....
