He didn't leave for the money, he left for the life long time legends were getting in WCW, older stars were in the spotlight, listen to the second video at 3:43 he says how he felt when they wanted to put the strap on Shawn after he felt he spent 14 years building up the WWF

Bret Hart's a cocky bunghole. He believes that HE did everything, that HE is the greatest, etc. Bret alone couldn't have built the WWF. Was he in the ladder match that made ladder matches? No. Bret is kind of selfish, he needed to admit when his time was running down. He still could have been a part of WWF if he didn't go to WCW. I like Bret but he's not as amazing as he thinks he is.

Exactly. Every wrestler builds a piece. He wanted to go where he would be the man, and I am sure WCW made him believe he would be the man for them.

Wrestling with Shadows will definitely make you think twice about which between Bret and Vince is the bad guy. In my perspective, it's Vince. The only reason he screwed Bret was because he was afraid Bret would show up in WCW with his belt (Vince was paranoid after the Madusa incident). As an earlier post said, the finish of the match was agreed by all sides, when Vince made a last-minute change unknown to Bret.
Now on the other subject about Bret being too full of himself, that is another debate of its own.

only because Bret refused to do the job Vince wanted him to do...it's not like Vince woke up on Sunday and said "this would be a good day to over Bret Hart" Actually, that is kind of what happened. You ignorant Michaels mark.

My friend and I were talking about this last night. Yeah, after finishing his book there, you kinda get the feeling that he sure does think highly of himself. He does seem to say that he made a heck of a lot of people that came down the pipe in WWF at that time. But I think that every worker there would need to be cocky in order to succeed. You'd be pretty hard pressed to tell me that HHH and Michaels don't have the same ego about them. Or any other big name. Hogan and Flair pretty much believe that they are who they play on tv. Macho is 100% crazy. (Granted these opinions are just from reading internet reports. Mach could be the most regular guy in the world. On a side note, Bret leaving his kids with Macho and Elizabeth, that's 100% crazy) So it's not like Bret's the only guy that's high on himself. He was at the top of the WWF for a number of years, so it's not like it wasn't justified. If Jim Powers had talked like Hart, there might be a problem, but with Bret it seems like he wasn't the only one who thought he was top drawer. Although it's hard not to side with Bret from watching "Wrestling with Shadows" and reading his book, but those are clearly from Bret's perspective, so who knows exactly how it all went down. Although Hitman is seemingly extra honest about everything in the book, including drugs and extra marital affairs and the like, so who knows. A little bit of me still thinks it is the biggest work ever. Granted Bret got a shoddy end of the deal, but I'm sure that with his extra fat WCW contract and lighter work schedule, he ended up a-ok. Vince's charcter took off I mean, Bret talked a great deal about keeping the business a secret and all that. He would even tell his lady-friend for a couple years that the matches were all a work and that he wasn't actually getting the crap kicked out of him. Although it sounds like Dynamite did a fair share of actually kicking the crap out of him. So he's coming from the older school of thinking about the business. So maybe it is a giant heavy duty work. However I can't agree with the "time running down" comment. He still had plenty of years left in him. I'm sure many of us could have gone another year or two with the whole anti-American angle for sure. And it's not like Bret went to WCW on his own accord. He did have the 20 year contract that Vince himself wanted out of. I guess the only solid opinion I have is that Jim Neidhart is the craziest.

Even though I don't give a crapabout bret hart and what happened to him, it's funny imo how you could tell Shawn was lying when bret said, did you know anything about this.

Well, Undertaker asked him if he knew about it according to his book. HB had the same reply. I'm not sure if Bret was in the room or not though.

I believe this is the Screwjob curse on HHH. Once she said "What goes around comes around" HHH was ed. Since then he has had two torn quads, been beaten by Shelton Benjamin, and one of his best friends, Owen Hart, died. This is the dumbest thing I've ever read..

A) This is from Wrestling with Shadows isnt it? B) I wish I was that kid Sunny was basically raping backstage in the first vid. The kid looked too young to enjoy what Sunny was doing to him.
