I think he means when the Ultimate Warrior was gone from the WWF for a while and returned with the singlet and blonde hair. A lot of people thought it was Kerry Von Erich, or a different man altogether as Warrior. There were always rumors that Warrior had died from a heart attack. It seemed plausible since he was so full of steroids it looked like he was going to explode. There were rumors that more than one wrestler that played Warrior had died, and the role had been filled multiple times.
None of it is true. While his look changed over the years, it was always Jim Hellwig, the man who started out with Sting in the Blade Runners tag team as "Rock". Hellwig went to Texas and wrestled as "Dingo Warrior" before being hired by the WWF. He may have used that name very early in the WWF too before changing it to Ultimate Warrior. I seem to remember going to a house show where I think he wrestled as Dingo in a prelim match.

He did work his early WWF matches as "Dingo Warrior," because I saw him wrestle Iron Mike Sharpe at a house show in Binghamton, N.Y. (July 1987) using that name, before he made his TV debut for the WWF. I remembered reading about him in the Apter mags and immediately recognized him from the photos. I told my dad this guy came from World Class, and of course, he had no idea what I was talking about.

Yeah, but the sad thing is people saying the Undertaker was played by Kane in the begining due to his name being, Cane, The Undertaker.

When I first read the title of this post, I thought it was referring to the fake Warrior that used to pound on his chest in the ring in WCW and then disappear, only for the lights to go out and then the real Warrior would sprint out from the back. I distinctly remember this happening at Fall Brawl 1998.
People always argue with me also saying that there were three different Ultimate Warriors and I would always tell them that they were wrong.

Some people really are stupid I mean I do not intend to offend any one but I was 10 when the Warrior returned in 92 and I could tell it was the same guy. I still to this day to dot understand how people think it was a different guy.

I still to this day to dot understand how people think it was a different guy. I knew the guy that was worriors acting agent/lacky.... the issue was that when he left he let himself go, when there was interest in bringing him back he didnt look like the worrior anymore. He went on a new training regiment to get back his definition and size back, in doing so, the look of his body changed a bit, he looked leaner and not as thick, but totally ripped. alot of people were saying between that and the hair that it was a different person but it was always Jim...

Dude, they announced on a local rock station in Chattanooga,TN where I live that the Warrior died in a car crash in like 93. True story, it was nuts. I seriously thought he was dead until he came back.
