You know what would be fun? Have him hold a huge tournament for who gets to face him. Have him publicly say that Wrestlemania 28 is his last one, and he's giving one worthy opportunity the chance to dethrone him. Let them have a huge company-wide tournament that starts in...hell, December, or January. That way, you keep him involved, but he's not active, which limits the chances of him getting injured again. Maybe the Royal Rumble winner should get to face him, since that will be better than opening the show.

Just goes to show how shallow the pool of credible headliners has become. Jericho & Batista are rumored to be returning at some point during 2011, but their in their 40's, Batista has already lost to UT at WM in recent years and Jericho isn't a viable threat to the the streak in my eyes.
Perhaps Vince should break the bank and bring back Kurt Angle, his contract is up in October I believe. Stick him on an unbeaten run from Oct/Nov upto WM28, possibly beating UT along the way, at least they have a reason to fight then. A 6 month build up with a nice payoff.

Undertaker vs. Mankind at Wrestlemania XXVIII to end it all. Regardless of the outcome, both men officially retire. Personally, I think Foley should end the streak. No one else has ever challenged Taker like Mankind, no two have had more iconic matches, and they have NEVER met at Mania!!

I don't think he'll be back until Wrestlemania next year. There's really no point in him being around right now anyway, let him rest.
I could see HHH/ Taker II though and it being the last match for both guys.

For whatever reason I think Sheamus will be the one to face Taker next year. I know Nash is signed on long term so maybe him. Maybe Foley or The Big Show as well.
By the way as a side note I would truly love and I hope it happens that Taker wrestle's his last match in his original attire. Grey or Purple it doesn't matter to me.

I honestly would rather he took a year or two off and ends it at WM30. Seems a much more grand stage for him to go out than WM28. If anyone is going to go out in a big way, Taker should be that man. He's done so much for the company, he should get to go out at WM's 30th anniversary.

IMHO this is the way to go. there is no-one on the roster at the moment that can be regarded as a legit threat.

I actually really like that idea. Imo theres no one left on the roster who would be a credible opponent for Undertaker except Cena who obviously already has his match. This way if the person he faces has to go through this huge tournament, it will make it seem like he truly deserved the opportunity to face him. Maybe have someone like Wade or Mysterio possibly win the whole thing, and then he can retire at 20-0. Edit: After looking at some of these posts, also kinda liking the idea of Foley or Angle. I think it'd be a little tough to get Angle, but if they could bring Foley back and have Undertaker vs. Mankind HIAC II. Have Taker win, and retire off into the sunset.
