could anybody post the backstage video where he was saying goodbye to everyone? Edge forgot about Zack Ryder - one of the guys who helped him win the World title!

I'm gonna miss Edge. A true legend in the squared circle. He put on many a great match.

Watching Edge from his days as the loner to being part of the Brood, to the amazing tag matches with the Hardy Boyz and The Dudleyz with Christian, or being part of the 'Smackdown Six' in 2002 alongside Rey Mysterio to then blossom as a heel with great heat as part of the 'Rated R Superstar' gimmick was great, and a credit to his work ethic and showmanship.
Admittedly in later years I found his character to be a bit stale, and bemoaned his terrible feud with Kane last year, but praise him for his dedication to his craft, and all the best to him for the future...

very unexpected. must be hard for the guy forced into retirement with a bad injury like that. but ya never know, plenty of wrestlers have a "career ending" injury or "retire"... then come back. it happens again and again.
i'm not gonna pretend i was a huge edge fan though. i always found him very average. but that's just my personal opinion.

I really feel like Edge was the last guy that i mean i was a REAL fan of. Like Edge was my guy. He is my absolute favorite of all time. I have people i still like in WWE, like Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Jack Swagger, Sheamus and a few more. But my favorites over the years have always been Jericho, Edge, Benoit, Angle, and HBK. All my all-time favorites have left WWE in the last 5 years. The guys i mentioned before i like, but the others i mentioned are just on another level. The only person left that i would totally mark for winning the title is....Christian of course. And let me tell you. The match at Extreme Rules needs to be changed to Del Rio vs. Christian. Not only that, but Christian HAS to win, and Edge HAS to do a run-in if able, and knock Del Rio off the ladder or something. It HAS to happen like that, with Extreme Rules closing with Edge raising the hand of new champion Christian. If it happens any other way then WWE may have put the final nail in their coffin of me having any hope in them. Ill still watch but come on, if it doesn't go down like that, then the WWE writers are scumbag idiots.

Yesterday was just a sad day in wrestling. Edge's retirement hits me hard because I began watching before his climb to success and he had many years to go. Thank you Edge for some of the best wrestling I've ever seen!

You can't come back if you're not cleared to wrestle. Unless you want to have matches like McMahon/Bret Hart.

Thank you Edge for some of the best wrestling I've ever seen! I feel the same, I've been a fan for about 15 years, and when I was little it was all about Hogan, Austin, Bret Hart etc. Those were the huge guys that were already main eventing when i started watching. They'd already paid their dues when i started. Edge is probably the first guy that i remember his debut, and followed his whole career, from start to finish. I don't think this is a work AT ALL but a part of me hopes the doctors say they made a mistake and Edge wrestles tonight on the SD! taping and all is good with the world. Ridiculously doubtful but i will still cross my fingers for something.

Unless you want to have matches like McMahon/Bret Hart. yeh but plenty of wrestlers have been told they will "never wrestle again" by doctors... and then years later they come back and wrestle again. HBK and Austin come to mind. i'm not pretending to understand the nature of edge's injuries and i don't mean any disrespect to edge or anyone else, but i'm just saying i never know what to believe with these "never again" announcements cos half the time they don't stick.

Wow, I love that video. I think it has finally hit me how much I will miss edge. Just realising how sudden it is he has left us and how we won't see another spear any time soon

It's hard to sit back and just have the thought that he's no longer going to be wrestling. It's always very saddening when things like this occur in WWE, but it's a tough buissness. He gave it his all, he got injured, but he showed us what a true wrestler will put his body through. Couldn't give him anything but respect. We wish you the best Edge.
