I've just been going through my head and thinking about edges retirement and its pretty shocking how many careers have ended at Wrestlemania 19 - Austin's Last Match 24 - Ric Flair....Second thoughts, scratch that 25 - JBL's Last Match 26 - HBK's Last Match 27 - Edge's Last Match 28 - Probably Undertaker/HHH/Rock's Last matches. Really puts a downer on Wrestlemania when you think about it

Well, of course it puts a downer on it when you look at it like that.

Wouldn't say its a downer. Everyone wants to end their career on top, and minus being the champ, having your last match at WrestleMania is a great way to end your career considering the magnitude of the event.

Well, I think they all want it to end on the biggest stage of them all.

Its the best way to end your career, at wrestlemania. It makes it more memorable.

Why is it shocking? It'd be stupid if people had their last matches on RAW or a random PPV.

If i was a wrestler i would rather retire on top and WM then be like 65 wrestling in front of 100 people at a bingo hall somewhere tbh.

Technically, Edge's last match was a dark match on SmackDown.. but I know what you're saying.

I'd be happy to retire at WM. It'd be a wonderful, emotional moment.

Not to mention...Before the Rock's match at WrestleMania 28...It was WrestleMania XX that he last competed.

Really puts a downer on Wrestlemania when you think about it I have mixed emotions and maybe that is the way it should be. It's nice to see guys have one more spotlight moment before they have to hang up their boots. Still, with a lackluster WM like this year, it's easy to wish we still had Austin, Flair in his prime, HBK, etc..
