This is the ideal version of Sgt. Slaughter, IMO. For me it's that minus the camo t shirt. When I first started watching wrestling in the late 70's he didn't wear the tshirt. |

This is the ideal version of Sgt. Slaughter, IMO. If they are going to make another slaughter, I agree this is the perfect one. However; how soon do you think it'll be before they make another sgt slaughter considering L1 is still collecting dusts at a store near you. If I was mattel I don't think I'd be too quick to make another figure of a guy who didn't previously sell too well. (I understand that more people want this attire then the AWA but still....) |

I think part of the problem of Sgt Slaugter and Snuka and others not selling is that people like me are skipping them waiting for a better version of them. I really want a Jake the snake and Rick Rude but Jake coming with a cobra and a short haired Rude is not how I remembered them so I am waiting for a version of them and others that I remember from when I was a kid. The allstars Jake is perfect but I don't want to buy it because of the other wrestler packed in does me no good because I never heard of him and I like keeping them MOC.

i wasnt going to buy L.O.D , Snuka, Bulldog, Slaughter Only because i was going to wait for a better version of them, But i Caved in and bought everyone but snuka.... im not a huge snuka fan anyways but the figure in my opinion was no good
The only legends i didnt buy are piper-orton, SCSA, Funk and Snuka, Pillman and Rock , kevin von erich and guerrero, dms - hbk, rock, hhh, austin

both my walmarts are sold out of legends, toys r us still has the 2 packs and a few of series 2 last time i checked

This is the ideal version of Sgt. Slaughter, IMO. Absolutely. This is pretty close to what he wore at the pinnacle of his career. Anytime you headline a Wrestlemania opposite Hulk Hogan it's pretty significant. The only addition is the red/white/blue wristbands, which were black at WM7. I think we already got a drill instructor/GI Joe like Slaughter in L1. So I would not favor a black top with camo pants. But either one would be better than blue pants with a white top. Seriously. Who finalized that idea anyway? |
