ok so i was looking at some unreleased tna figures that marvel couldent release because the deal jakks made and i was wondering what would happen if jakks lost their rights to making them and marvel took over again or a different company took over. I personaly wish this would happen because the tna line is not doing really good at all because they dont listen to their fans and they just arnt selling well. So whats your perspective on this?

either way tna come third to the wwe and ufc, simple as, they got jakks cause A) they had the wrestling moulds, and B) from a VERY well known line of ex-wwe line of figures.......... no other company could offer much else to sell or produce more.

Yeah if Jakks somehow loses it I doubt any other companies will make them. And can you provide some pics of the Marvel figs? I've never heard of that before.

I would be P.O.ed if Marvel does get back the lincense, their figure were pretty crappy. At least Jakks is compatible with WWE and UFC figures but I also really like their articulation and scans.

I bought most of the old TNA figs back then. I still have them and they look/work well with WWE Mattel figs now..

The reason Marvel Toys/Toybiz couldn't release the figures was nothing to do with Jakks. I think the line was dropped in 2007?, so at the time, Jakks were still happily tied into their WWE contract. I think Toybiz just went down as a company. It's a shame - their TNA line made me an action figure collector and despite its QC issues, articulation, paint and sculpt blows even the likes of Mattel out the water (and I LOVE the Mattel WWE line). I'd love for the TNA license to change hands tbh. I first thought the shortcomings of Jakks were just because TNA isn't that big of a brand to have a toy license. However, if Playmates went for AAA, perhaps TNA is profitable. Heck, wrestling figures will always be a big part of the mass market toy world. So yeah, if they lost it, I could see a company like Playmates (maybe not now) or Jazwares going after the license, since they're on about the same level as Jakks. I'm also quite sure they'd try to hook some of the Mattel collectors in, by making similar molds - In which case, I'd buy. Point is, I'd kill for some in scale, nicely sculpted TNA figures and Jakks aren't making them. Also, someone mentioned wanting to see the unreleased Marvel figures. Here's their Kurt Angle (Best wrestling figure ever?): Here are some of my favourites. As you can see, not a great fit with Mattel, but not bad: *sigh* I wish Toybiz were still doing TNA

Wow, those unreleased figs are awesome, especially Angle, Hernandez & X-Pac! Too bad they didn't see the light of day. I wonder if anyone got hold of those protos.

It would have been nice if Marvel put as much effort into the TNA line as they did the Marvel Legends.

I would much prefer Jakks' making them. While some of Marvel's looked good, almost all of them break too easily.
